  1. Pictures of Scott Brown and the likes celebrating at Ibrox being hung up in the dressing before the next Old Firm should be enough motivation to beat them. I felt very much for the team that they couldn't beat them once again, but they need to grow a certain level of hate inside.
  2. In my eyes this game is a real test to the team, as only an absolute team spirit plus 100% from everybody is needed to stop them. If they really believe in getting something out of the game, they won't be bothered to falling behind 0:1 in the first minute or being down 0:3 at halftime. First of all, someone Needs to get on Browns nerves, as he is central. Once he loses focus or doesn't get the freedom he is used to, the Celtic system might fall apart a bit. Easier said than done though, as they will come out of the traps quite wildly i guess and Rangers will have big Players missing. So, some luck will be needed for sure, too. Anyway, stand up to the Task and do the blue Shirt pride, please. GOOD LUCK BOYS
  3. Great news - great for our club and i think good for the McCrorie's, too. I loved Ross since he first wore the blue Shirt, fully committed, allrounded talented, just a very smart footballer and...lbnl...homegrown! And more to come from the academy as it seems. The future looks bright...
  4. Well written. All i can add is that Rangers should try to play a football far, far away from their own half...because they just cant defend!
  5. Lucky? sure. Deserved lucky. In this world it can not be, that a human bin bag like Lennon has the last laugh at Rangers all the time - no way!! Rangers though are not there yet, too fragile after that goal, not enough selfbelief to stand up and fight back after getting a goal. Maybe after this game, they realise that the only way is getting your act together and become stronger after conceding, because again they managed to win after being behind. Its all about belief. Although again, no Wallace, Jack etc. on the pitch, Kenny off too soon, leadership is not given to someone over night. Probably easier said than done.. However, great winning run at the moment why end it...?
  6. Trust in Murty!! If he knows he will be in charge for another couple of months means, he will have a different approach to everything involved with the first team. Now it was more or less game by game. He can win an Old Firm for Rangers, thats what I am a 100% sure of!
  7. Great article, guess speaks out how a majority of fans feel right now. I hope the team takes the field on storm, get an early goal and not looking back afterwards. Could be a kickoff to stability, finally.
  8. Ross is an absolute diamond. look after him and he will develop to a great Rangers player. Didn't fear being thrown into an Old Firm, where in my opinion he produced his best game so far. Apart from being rock solid he tries to being creative, too.
  9. I would keep Murty until the end of season, in the meantime look out for a Scottish/British manager, like McInnes or someone similar. I am pretty convinced Murty would be a good enough manager to bring out the best of the team. Depending on the results, why not consider to keep him as first team manager? Surely this time i wouldn't look for a foreign manager who lacks knowledge of Scottish football in general, but escpecially players and teams.
  10. I hate the fact that Rangers are on the receiving end (i.e. from the media) once again. I hate the fact that i was right when i thought Rangers should seek success with a British coach and mainly British players, because i wanted Pedro to win as he is such a likeable person, that was just stamped on all the time. He wasn't scared of bringing in young players, he had enthusiasm, but i just think this philosophy didn't match. They took enough time until they presented Pedro then, they will take again enough time to decide who's next - in the meantime i ask myself if those people are qualified enough to make such decisions? At least thousands of Rangers supporters will have some new hope when they travel to Hearts this weekend with Graeme on the side. Wonder about the team selection... I feel really angry about the whole situation and on the other hand somehow also relieved...
  11. If you read the medias you think "that guy is gone by tomorrow"... is it really what we want? make the newspaper and opposite fans happy? He's a cool guy and as we all know by now, doesn't seem to be perfect. Of course, at Rangers you need to deliver results... What this team needs at this moment is players who stand up for the team, the club and the manager. Guys who lead the team on the field, guys who can be aggressive when needed. Guys who can get angry in interviews. Guys who make a difference. Wallace is not here, Miller is not here at the moment, so we do have Jack who was a leader in Aberdeen, we have Dorrans. It shouldn't be John or McCrorie who fans go crazy about in the first place, although my new black strip bears McCrories name on it...and proud of it... Never was it easier to become a Rangers hero, just step up...
  12. I think Pedro knows where to put the finger on to. Firstly, getting a game system and team gelling. Now team spirit and a fighting spirit is what is needed to win more games. Only 1 thing is missing from preventing Rangers from more success: the 2nd half. Is it really fitness? if not, then its the fighting spirit that needs to be inked into the guys. Having a talented team that plays with passion and determination will be hard to beat. Just now, our opponents still see a chance to beat us even with being 0:1 or 0:2 down. The same teams would give up vs Celtic at the same stage. Rangers need to get to the same point, although as at Celtic, it will take some time.
  13. I hate to say, but as long as Celfish don't start losing and they have Brown fit for Oldfirms, it will be difficult to keep up with them. But once they start losing, things could change very quickly though. So i beg for patience with PC and the team, as i think it is a mental thing (on both sides). I personally think Pedro has learnt a lot since arriving in Glasgow and i sincerely wish that the team will get him the results to steady the boat and get Rangers on the route to success. I do like Pedro and would love him to be successfull with Rangers.
  14. All i can say to people inside ibrox is to let the players feel their full hearted support...from start to finish. Whatever lineup, whatever way the game goes. It will be a hell of a hard game and anything can happen. But with the backing of the fans, the game could turn our way..lets make it happen. A smile on pedros face tonight would make me very happy...
  15. Exactly where i also see a big questionmark. With competition within the team..why is there a slowdown in the tempo, especially when a goal was scored. Instead forcing more goals rather than controlling the game must be the logical way to play it the Rangers way, especially as the opponents know that scoring vs us is not something too exceptional...
  16. "Passion" - to me a key factor to the road to glory. Against Motherwell and Dunfermline to have a good plan was ok, but against teams like Hibs you also Need to match the opponents passion. You Need a manager who demands passion and you Need Players who lead with passion. Hibs Players Need to feel that they are the uninvited guests to a Rangers party. Thats what i look Forward for tomorrow and hope to get to see
  17. Important 3 points and not an easy game to Play. probably the 1:0 came too early, as rangers looked too secure afterwards. What i am nervous about is the fact that after scoring the goal, Rangers were just Controlling the game and the result, instead of pushing for a 2nd goal and so on. In the meantime the whole of the league knows where Rangers' weaknesses are, so if you give opponents a chance, they happily will be there to give it a go. The dominance on the field Needs to be much more, make them feel that Rangers will want to win the game, win the balls, win the fights. Only with this, opponents will start to have more respect of Rangers. It will take some time, but you have to earn that respect, that is also a winning formula. Hope, Pedro will find a winning way, i wish him luck, because he really seems a nice person
  18. HOTELS in Luxembourg: if someone wishes to stay in the city centre at a reasonable rate i can recommend the Parc-Plaza Hotel*** of the Goeres Hotel Group (the name somehow sounds "funny" i know) http://www.goeres-group.com Its next to the Parc-Bellevue Hotel**** of the same hotel group, but cheaper. mind, seems that not all the rooms do have air conditioning, better ask...might be an issue right now...
  19. i do appreciate both the quantity and quality of the posts and threads, as well as the prematch articles and other stories. this site keeps you up to date and is entertaining, too
  20. I have just noticed that Rangers were everything else than a "gelled" team this Season. Only 6 field Players made more than 35 appearances (without even maybe playing the full 90) in a total of about 49 games! Celtic and Aberdeen had 12 Players. Rangers last Season Rangers had at least 10 of those. So all the injuries and other Problems preventing Rangers to field a gelled together team prevented us from being more successful, especially in Terms of beating the likes of Cmellfish. Thats my theory or a way of searching for explanations...
  21. Very well written and an off field topic that must be taken care of. One might add that "success makes sexy", so if Rangers start beating Celfish papers will -have to- like Rangers again because they are successful and en vogue. Then it will be important that the board does what this article suggests...
  22. Fawlty and the other Monty Python stuff is just such a great, unmatched humour! this should be obligatory school material actually...especially nowadays. But then again, in Scotland they probably would censor the O'Reilly bits...?
  23. Very good points in here. I always feel that there might be too much pressure when playing for Rangers. Being behind Celtic now is not a shame because this club hasn't got the funds to buy a team of superstars to compete with them ini their first season in the SPL. Rangers beat Aberdeen away from home to a side on a really high - well, that's what people expect a Rangers team to do right? I thought it needed a great team effort to win there. After the Celtic game that great win unfortunately seems to count nil. All they players who were great against Aberdeen should be sold after the Celtic game. I believe that this team, if gelled together nicely, would have had the potential to cause Celtic some trouble, at least to finish above Aberdeen. why didn't it happen, i don't know - but you can't blame the players alone, it was a strange season, that's what it surely was... As many decent Rangers fans try to bring in is the fact that money doesn't always but success (Leicester), but as long as there are so many people insisting that Rangers must already now (and always) be above Celtic - no wonder players perform like they did against Celtic. It was really hurting to see the team being humilated on the field and even more so by C****c players bragging about how easy it was to beat them , Simunovuc bragging how great his tackle was (it was only because of Kenny's instictive decision of not going into the tackle as well, otherwise that leg would have been broken - but now everybody thinks it was a great tackle - sick) Reading all those stories of Celtic and their neverending disgusting behaviour makes me dislike them even more and on the other hand makes me even prouder that i do support a team like the Glasgow Rangers. Before too long, Brownie and his green friends will be choking on their laughter about Rangers as they did before Rangers went down. If people learn to take the pressure off their own team, the more and the quicker they will succeed. It all starts already this sunday. The Players will be nervous again because of the expectations - so just show them that you support them, be patient if they don't score within the first 30 mins and don't boo them when they fall behind after the first corner (sarcasm) Rangers need the fans support to become great again
  24. 1989 was my last visit to Ibrox, so taking my seat was very emotional. What happened after kickoff was simply unreal! I couldn't believe what i witnessed and after returning back to Switzerland last night, i still Needed to pinch myself. Grateful i made the trip to be part of this wonderful Performance and one Thing is for sure...it won't take another 25 years for me to return to Ibrox!
  25. I'll travel over from Switzerland for the Dundee game. my first game at Ibrox since November 1989 ! (beating Dunfermline 3:0) Really looking Forward to it and i believe that it will be a cracking game of Football. 2:1 for the famous Glasgow Rangers... Just give Dundee the respect they deserve but otherwise just Play it the Rangers way, then all will be fine
