But giving 110% every week doesn't meant hat he'd be any good at right back. Most, if not all on here would give PLG 110% every week - doesn't mean we'd make decent right backs

Agreed, but the offensive line is starting to diminish already, especially at Ibrox and I noticed a lot of people around me stop singing when it came to the ****** blood line.

Just an update to say that the new banner is currently being printed and will be returned to me by the end of this week.

Once again, thanks to Del for getting this stitched together and to everyone who donated towards the printing.

Hopefully the banner will make its debut at Ibrox on Saturday.

With the introduction of Wolverhampton Town on Saturday, it looks like the club are at long last, trying to reintroduce real Rangers songs (I wonder how many will be caught out with the 'theres not a team like the Glasgow Rangers' line:) ) . I long for the day where we are singing songs like The Blue Sea Of Ibrox, Every Other Saturday, The Rangers Chorus, The Famous Glasgow Rangers, Rangers Over Here, It's Rangers For Me, Wolverhampton Town etc all game rather than 'orange tunes'....

Was Ross's deterioration not down partly to alcohol, many a night i seen him in the garage wrecked. Hutton was our worst player but i didnt think he was totally garbage. On his day, he is a fine right back who is good in the air and solid in the tackle.

 

I do agree with both our fullbacks positional awareness. Both Smith and Hutton got caught out of position last season and hopefully PLG can work with them on this.

But Hutton has had time - he isn't a raw youngster - he was played in the team for around 2 years, this being his 3rd season as a first squad player.

Whilst Adam was at fault for the Motherwell goal yesterday, when he chose to shoot rather than pass to Smith, Hutton allowed McCormack room to cross the ball into the box. McCormack was given room and TIME to measure a cross, in fact, Svensson was caught out as he was trying to get across to cut out the cross, leaving O'Donnell with acres of room.

He (or anyone else for that matter) can not continue to make basic errors like this that cost us goals and or games. Maybe I am being harsh and over critical, but IMO Hutton should be more solid than he is, given the experience that he has.

I think he done alright on sunday. I think we let him keep his place with ricksen as cover for right back and midfield

I must have been watching a different game then - he was caught out of position many times with Svensson having to come out of the middle to cover him.

His injury has also seen him 'shy' out of tackles and he either gets 'to tight' or not tight enough against players - so he is either easily turned or 'passed out' the game.

He has shown that he has ability, but so did Mo Ross and at the moment Hutton is going down the same route as Mo Ross. I hope that he can rediscover his form, but we can not have passengers in the team and IMO the clock is ticking on young Hutton.

But how long do we give Hutton to recapture his form? He has been shacky for a while now and pre-season training doesn't seem to have improved him.

According to Radio Clyde Rangers and Viennaaaaaaaaaaaa have agreed a price of �£1.8m and he'll be a Teddy Bear within 48 hours.

Yip, he'll be in Glasgow tomorrow or Wednesday and will be a Rangers player before the end of the week - depending on the results of the medical.

Guy from our RSC bus heard Bain 'complain' to Boyle at Motherwell on Sunday that he was going to be a busy boy this week - so don't rule out further comings and goings.

Yesterday must've filled you with excitement though Cammy and what an improvement in the standard of football we played.

Hugely excited about this season, but don't want to get over optimistic as like I said, the AM and DA era's got off to a blistering start and look where we ended up.

Not saying that the PLG era will end like the last two, but football is a funny business - lets just hope we have learned from our mistakes and that we can enjoy PLG's brand of football, hope that it is successful and hope that all the other 'problems' can also be addressed.

Lets remember that under the previous manager, we initially played some fatastic football - with players like Mols, De Boer, Lovenkrands, Ferguson, Cannigia etc. In fact, AM's record of a double when he took over from DA and a treble in his first full season will take some beating / matching.

The PLG era is off to a fantastic start, but the season is only 1 game old - all the early signs are encouraging and of we continue to perform as we did for the first 30 minutes then we can take great heart and with a bit of improvement we can expect fantastic achievements.

However, I'll stress that it is far to early to make predications of what PLG's reign will hold for us - lets not forget the even the greatest managers in the world will suffer set backs and their teams will suffer defeats etc.

It appears that the Subway Loyal have infiltrated our away support - couldn't believe my eyes yesterday as as soon as the clock showed 85 minutes, 100's of Rangers fans started to leave the ground.

One thing that never changes in the Scottish game is the standard of refereeing - once again, Underhill was shocking yesterday - how he missed the kick on Sionko and only yellow carded Forlan for his elbow on Smith, only he knows.

in a wee club near Fir Park - Michael Mols and Davie Proven were in and were a credit to themselves and the club - they both took time to sign autographs and have pictures taken
