The $64,000 question. If I was a gambling man, I'd bet the game won't go ahead next week given the forecast

Rangers not holding back
-
So let's play it next Wednesday at the same venue, with heavy rain forecast in Dundee for next Tuesday and Wednesday.

Could easily move it to St Johnstone. However, they've also had issues with their pitch. However, any alternative venue should have been put on standby at the weekend. To late now to move it. Just the latest SPFL farce.

I can see DUFC being nothing other than accommodating 🤷♂️😀

Another pitch inspection at 15:30. Rain has started and getting heavy so don't thinks this is going to end well.

Anthony Galinski appointed lead international scout at Rangers
CammyF replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
He appears to like a signing from South America. Welcome to Rangers and good luck! -
Weirdly the weather forecast for Dundee is fine for today and overnight. However, heavy rain forecast to start at, ermmm 11:00AM tomorrow. Moving the game now to Tannidice is the best all-round solution, but this is Scottish Football we're talking about.

Exactly - he missed all 3 major incidents on Sunday. Are referees now relying on VAR? Some are saying VAR are re-refereeing games, it's because they have to as on-field referees are missing the obvious. Just look at how many of our penalties have been awarded by on-field referees against how many VAR have awarded.
-
But he's never "out there" on a consistent basis. Statistically he doesn't outperform Barasic. Neither are good enough, both need moved on
-
No, there is no argument, neither are what we require.
-
Have you read my other posts in this thread? I've said we need to replace all our current defenders. Hardly picking on one
-
Ridvan - A solid work ethic? More like permanently injured (or missing). Wasn't on the bench on Sunday, so it looks like he's out for another few games at least.
-
I don't think it is re-reffing the game. Beaton missed a clear and obvious foul, so was correctly advised to go to the screen. It's a tough one to take, but ultimately I think it's the correct decision. If the ball had gone "dead" then we scored, it's different argument in my opinion. The VAR team correctly identified another clear and obvious error from Beaton and again correctly got him to review the Silva "dive" and he then rightly awarded us a penalty.

I would sat, out of all the defence, Tav is last one that needs replaced. 2 x left backs are the priority, then 2 centre backs as Davies, Balogun and Goldson (in that order) need to be moved on
-
Watch the highlights (5mins in)- he has two attempts to tackle / clear the ball and fails both times. Then Butland let's the ball squirm under him. Both equally at fault.
-
I honestly think the loss of the 3rd goal was worse than the 1st but both a comedy of errors. The 1st goal could he described as a "fluke" but no denying Tav could and should have done better, but not solely to blame for the goal. The 3rd goal, straight after equalising was criminal and Sterling and Butland both equally to blame. There is no denying that Tav and Goldson are nearing the end of their Rangers careers and both are going to be difficult to replace. I think we urgently require two new centre-halves, 2 new left backs as well as a right back that we can use to slowly phase Tav out.
