  1. When I was a young lad following the Rangers, I was always informed by my fellow bears on the terracing that 'crossing' was an evil and never to be accepted by any manner of means. Davy Wilson and Willie Henderson never ever listened and just kept doing it. It filled me with joy when the cross resulted in a goal for us...I'd stick my fingers up to the opposition at the other end in jubilation.

Later I found out what the guys on the terracing really meant. They were right behind Wilson and Henderson though, and so was I.

I wonder how many goals big DJ scored from a Tommy McLean cross?...

  2. Haven't heard or read the interview with MacLean, but some remarks suggest that he was asked loaded questions on the O'Halloran stuff and replied accordingly. Right on cue, the media seems to turn this into claims by MacLean.

Now Keith Jackson throws his weight behind this transfer "saga" and says that "missing out on MOH isn't an option for Rangers".

In the cold light of day, we'd have our egos dented, our enemies get a bit of ammunition, and we haven't got a 350k-mid-table Premiership player with potential. The day after, the Earth still revolves around the Sun and we have enough quality players to deliver the title.

PS: Do remember that we can still sign freebies for another month or so.

Im hoping McLean (ex-ger) is saying, get the finger out rangers and get him signed NOW...

  3. I really don't get all the fuss about not getting Diagouraga. We already have a player who can play his position(Dominic Ball) & have signed another on a pre-contract(Crooks)

My main concern is up front. We need to add a proven striker, even if it's on loan til the end of the season.

They are saying that Diagouraga is a viera type player Dominic ball is nowhere near a viera type player...

  4. Quite. I'm pretty ambivalent about Diagouraga and O'Halloran but there's no question we're light. An long term injury to a player like Halliday or Waghorn would leave us in trouble (and isn't Halliday effectively the reserve left back as well?).

We have young Ross mccrorie who can play any fullback position. I've every confidence that we have cover in nearly all positions but if waggy gets injured were back to last season's hit men...so it's a must for a striker for me..

  5. Can't say I'm overly fussy about losing out on O'Halloran or Diagouraga but important we have alternatives that can be brought in quickly if necessary.

As it stands we have a first team squad of 22 players and that includes rarely used players like Aird, Thompson, Bell, Gostomski and Hardie. Apparently, Templeton is also out for another 2-3 months with his ongoing knee issue.

There's a difference between a healthy stream-lined, competitive squad and taking a gamble with injuries. Especially when we're had so few so far this season.

Forget about temps his best pal is my sons brother in law and said he's not getting another contract. He blames us for rushing him back when he was injured....
