IMO this story is a lot of rubbish. I have quite a few mates that are Derby season ticket holders and from what I've heard Derby don't have two pounds to rub together never mind the million plus it would take to buy Buffel. Also Buffel would never go to the EC he is more likely to head back to the continent than lower Enlglish league football.

At the end of the day if the rest of the team had played to their potential we wouldn't be discussing the goalie situation. One goalkeeping mistake should not cost you the game when we are at home to a small team like ICT. I blame the performance of the rest of the team no the keeper.

I have voted for Mcgregor because he has done so well over the last few weeks. My only concern is how he would handle a difficult spell and what would happen to his confidence. Look at Marshall of ceptic as an example had a few outstanding performances especially in the CL then turned mince once his confidence was shattered by a few bad performances

From what i've heard Ashikodi is rated quite highly by the coaches at Murray Park. He is very fast but still quite lightweight for the first team. The best similarity I can think of is Shaun Wright Philips of Chelsea as he can play in several positions up front

The current prefrence is J-Rod and Papac, based only on recent form. I think Svensson will improve, he wouldn't be in the Sweden squad if he wasn't a decent player.

The worrying thing is that although the list is quite small our midfield is beginning to look a little stretched. I hope this is as bad as it gets regarding injuries but going on our previous seasons it tends to get steadily worse throughout the season.

Totally agree. The one positive thing I have taken from Saturdays game is that our team is just at the start of it's re-development, we had our best midfileder missing and Bardsley is a much better full back than Hutton. We started with 6 players from our youth system and we only just lost away to our biggest rivals this season. Apart from Wilson they started with their strongest midfiled, they had a fully fit Graveson, Hesselink, Nakamura, Miller etc etc.... and they had to play out their skin just to scrape past us. We are going to get so much better whereas they are already at their best. I can't wait till December and as long as we can stay clear of any serious injuries I am confident that we will be much better than now an stuff them at Ibrox. Mon the Gers

Well said Gersfem. There has been way too much hype, this is why a lot of people are expecting instant results and are now getting frustrated because it's not happening. I'd prefer it if we could have these discussions at the end of the season and then decide if we have moved forward since Eck, rather than seven games into the season. Let's not forget where we finished last season.

I think it's probably to do with the fact the game was televised and therefore can be closely scrutinised. It possibly would've gone unnoticed had it been on a Saturday.

The annoying thing is they did not play well against the Sheep or Dunfermline and are still getting 3 points. For example in the Dundee Utd and Kilmarnock games we've played some very nice football and only got a point from each of these matches. It will only take a few more weeks of results like this before the gap will be into double figures. Even still I am not jumping on the let's blame PLG bandwagon. The season is still young and so is our squad. We all said it would take time before we get to our peak and I still believe it will.

Technically he's seems to be quite good, he's made a few decent saves in the games I've seen him play in but it's still hard to tell how good he actually is due to the lack of first team chances. I think the whole commanding your box thing is a confidence thing and I think that will come over time as his confidence grows.

Yeah but remember his legendary goal he scored against Brugge in the CL when he hit a dodgy cross from 25 yards and it bounced and looped over their keepers head.

I suppose over the last 15 years or more the reserve goalies at Rangers must have had a terrible time waiting for the likes of Woods, Goram or Klos to slip up. But now he has his big chance to prove himself. Is he good enough to be the Gers No.1?

I heard an interesting fact about Italy which could help to boost Scotland's confidence (as if we need anymore just now). Apparantly after Italy won their previous World Cup in 82 they didn't win a game for 15 months and had a very poor Euro Championship qualifying campaign. Let's hope history repeats it's self.

Apparantly the young Rory Loy who we signed from Kilmarnock in the summer scored his first goal as well. Does anyone know much about this lad?
