No I have watched him at the games and he plays the role very well but in my view Gerard seemed to crticise his lack of goals, which to me was poor from Gerard as he tells/told the team how to play.

All this season I have been saying that Gerard has/had been destroying Morelos by using him as a link man instead of what I call old fashioned centre-forward(striker). Similarly McCoist took Kris Boyd,who scored goals for fun and deployed him in that role as link man.

Arfield for me quietly went about his business and composed at goal. Aribo second but ran into too many blind corners.

Pure crap from team can't blame coaches as they did not make the mistakes on the field.First goal,probably 5th time this season,came from the area where Tav and Connor should be covering,second a decent goal but again cover suspect and third soft penalty but that's Clancy. For Thursday out with McGregor,Tav,Kamara,Aribo and in with McLaughlin, Paterson,Jack and Wright at the very least. Nearly left at half-time---wish I did.

It is quite disconcerting but personally I prefer to wait for the final outcome rather than be fed snippets. As far as the Gerard thing I feel that the club has suffered a "poaching" for Gerard with him actually having,more than likely,talks over a longer period. Having admired him I now abhor him,but him being nearer family gives me some comfort.

Regards the move if it was for family reasons,fair enough,as missing your off-spring growing up is not something you would wish. Therefore if Gerard makes a mess of things at Villa, which would hinder a higher move in the future,it might be the case he will just have to walk away from the game and being a wealthy man there would be no financial worries to stop him.

I can remember the sixties well but not who scored in my first Rangers game V Partick Thistle,could google it I suppose,but that game set me off on supporting the Gers.

I agree that the move was on long before the sacking of Dean Smith at Villa what concerns me is that SG was obviously so underhand about it. I like many others have been sickened by how quickly the move happened,unparalleled in modern times, and like many others hope Villa don't manage to stay in EPL.
