  1. There are a lot of Turks in urban Germany and the Germans of a particular age generally speak poorly of them. I'd even go as far as to say that they don't particularly like them being there at all.
  2. Its all under the Sporting integrity rule 3. sub clause ii (eye eye) which clearly states we can do what the f&*k we want whenever the f&*k we want. @Soulsonic5791
  3. It did indeed we beat them in the league cup final and won the league by 1 point with him. As I say scoring in Europe and a double will do for me.
  4. Took the heat off a few of his team mates and scored for us in Europe that'll do me.
  5. Just off the top of my napper? Diouf and Weiss are two that I can think of...
  6. Stats can bare some interesting reading so with that said stats from the two legs against FC SHKUPI courtesy of Modernfitba.com via Snagsy and the WWTC podcast reads. Rangers expected goals over the two legs was 5.21 against Shkupi 1.25 A total expected goals ratio of xG 81% Rangers top three players by expected goals; 1. Windass 1.46 2. Murphy 0.79 3. Katic 0.38 Rangers top three players by expected assists; 1. Tav 0.84 2. Morelos 0.53 3. Murphy 0.40
  7. That seems an odd position for TAB/TOP to take. I understand they wished assurances that Dave King wouldn't move those funds. Regardless, since he complied with what they initially asked there would appear little reason to make further requests especially with such little left to meet their deadline. It appears as though they are acting more as debt recovery agent than anything else? I wouldn't expect Dave King to reveal any information on the state of his current arrangements prior to the contempt hearing. Of course theres nothing to suggest that Dave King hasn't already, or is in the process of, completing the necessary KYC ahead of that hearing. As I understand it they additionally wished him to use their choice of facility which may or may not have been favourable for Dave King. If he has arrangements completed within the UK by the time the case is heard and his counsel provides full details of Dave Kings business dealings and also conducted between the two parties to date then I'd be struggling to see where that might not be in his favour. Of course it is dependent on whether or not he has followed their requests up until the point where they requested the funds be moved to the UK.
  8. First of all he already had shares along with his other concert party members it was just a matter of increasing those. You're not going to tell me that it cost him and is associates £11m to do that or are you? Secondly its far more cash than going to the bank with your couple of grand holiday money and exchanging it for Rand for your two week SA trip. Theres setting up the facility and approval to move the cash and then there is the haggling over the exchange rate 6 weeks would have been a reasonable time scale to do that however the TAB/TOP didn't allow that opportunity to arise. I'm not saying he hasn't been difficult about it but as far as I'm concerned if what Dave King says is true then the TAB/TOP have been completely unreasonable.
  9. When the manager is telling us that he is disappointed with what he is seeing in the last third then he's talking about ALL of our player who are supposed to contribute in that area. Morelos in particular his control and finishing for the couple of chances he did have was very poor in these two matches but he wasn't the only one. ALL of them were poor! Moving Windass into that position wont help. I think SG already knows, and has made his mind up, that the supply in that area needs to be improved. If he can bring in new players he will and these will be gone.
  10. I'm more concerned about our defending when an attacker is playing on the shoulder of either of our CH's because we certainly didn't look too clever when Shkupi did that. Between that and all across the back four allowing people to run across them when defending set pieces is not on. We'll need to sort that out pronto. Morelos was very poor tonight and needs time sitting on his arse on the bench, neither Murphy nor Windass were much better than him so he wasn't alone there. Middleton needs a bit more coaching but he's a player and Ejaria also needs a bit more coaching to but he looked a lot more lively when he came on in this game than he did in the home tie.
  11. We've a lot of work to do but another clean sheet and in an away game in a European tournament will do me.
  12. I didn't think he looked clumsy, he has some nice control and Its entirely possible that he was exceptionally nervous. Don't forget he's a young lad making his début in front of 51k Rangers supporters who are frustrated and unhappy at the score only being 1-0 at the time. As I say he did grow into it more when Middleton came on so maybe I'm being overly harsh on him but as I say I only got 'squad player' vibe from what I did see of him.
  13. I think thats just because he's tall and athletic Gonzo but in saying that I kind of get what you mean. Personally speaking on a surface like Ibrox park I like to see a player who is constantly up on his toes as it suggests to me that he is already alert ready to spring into action. I didn't get or see that with him in fact a couple of times he looked asleep got to the player to close down but should have been there earlier. If that makes any sense to you at all?
  14. Unlike a lot of the support who thought he was great I seen nothing in the lad that would suggest he'll be anything other than a squad player. Apart from a couple of nice feints and an possible pen he more or less just walked about. Theres no doubt about it that he showed flashes of decent feet and control but not enough for me for the length of time he was on the park, 25 mins, supposedly as replacement for Arfield who had been the link between mid/forwards. It wasn't until Middleton came on that he started to do anything and even then there was one break where he runs 30 yards towards goal carrying the ball and hits it straight off the defender when its easier to go round him or take it to either side and lay it off. I suspect we'll see one from McRorie, Rossiter as the link between def/mid Coulibaly as the destroyer and one from Jack, Candeias, Arfield as #8. In front of them I think we'll see Murphy, Middleton interchanged on one side of the park with Windass and The Flute being the same scenario on the other. There are possibilities to use Murphy as the #8 and Caneias as the outside (Windass position) of the front three also but Morelos for now (until we sign a CF) will be our #9.
  15. Its a fanzine Bill and I wouldn't want to turn it into a glossy mag I like it as it is. I might be a pain in the backside for pete cause he's a noisy burger ? and I'm not a fan of too much background noise right @pete.
  16. It is the point the RW is supposed to tie up the LB so that he can't make those runs. The alternative is to pass him onto the midfield and then what go for a smoke?
  17. You're right Tav did get a nick on it. I hadn't realised he had done that and thought it had just rolled through for Candeias to pick it up then turn it inside to him. It was a nice little nick Tav got on it. ?
  18. You both need to watch the clip again and you'll see who the player was that Windass was tracking. It was their Left Back.
  19. Most of what you've said here I do agree with a player is worth what a team pays for him. In the case of Scott Alan at the time 300k is what we were prepared to pay for a player of that calibre in that position. Celtic didn't pay 300k for him and I have to be honest in saying I have no real data to say what they did actually pay for him. I said and I'll repeat 3-500k is what I think he's worth so I think Josh Windass is worth up to half a million pounds. If an English club comes in and pays more than that then thats decent business for us as far as I'm concerned. Again though its all conjecture as we've no idea if there have been any bids for the player or if we wish to sell him at all. Finally I have no underlying need to find parity on any issues or discussions I'm comfortable with disagreement. Discussions like valuations should always throw up disagreement as they are entirely subjective.
  20. I would agree with you if the mid three were set roles. However SG has had our mid three rotate so either Candeias, Arfield or McRorie would have been expected to have covered their runs from midfield which they were, a little slack, but the sort of were. Windass was covering the run from their LB which is why we had the space to run on as their two mids filtered over to cover leaving the spot behind in the LB position and also the wide Left (Murphy) open for us to move into.
  21. I don't agree with you on any level here Craig and I'm not being obtuse so we'll just have to disagree. We bid 300k for Scott Alan at the same time as we were looking for a player in that role so there already a valuation that we can look at. Personally I think Alan is as good or better than Windass and I don't think his value has increased to the £1mil+ level some Rangers supporters seem to think Windass is valued at.
