  1. You'll get little argument from me on that front because I think Halliday would do (has done before) a decent job there if necessary. It was more to highlight how poor Hodson is as cover.
  2. We did look pretty decent in the second half. Our left back position is a problem without John or Wallace in though.
  3. I thought it was more a lack of awareness from Cardoso Tav was the last man even before he stepped up a yard.
  4. Cardoso has had a mare in that first half drawn to the ball for the first goal and the second he steps up when theres two in behind that Tav is trying to cover.
  5. Much easier to read Frankie many thanks.
  6. Goss and Murphy have done not too bad. Nothing flashy but from first looks could definitely hold their own and cause problems for teams in the SPFL.
  7. The new forum formats and flows smoothly so good job lads. However would it be possible to add an option either in the user CP or at the foot of the log in page to alter theme as some of us tend to have difficulty seeing/reading the lighter coloured themes (my suggestion might be Infinite dark theme) or if there is already an option could I be directed to it?
  8. I'm not too disappointed with the result. We rode our luck a bit in the first half were big Wes earned his pay with a couple of excellent saves. The story was somewhat reversed in the second half Gordon kept them it it with two cracking reaction saves. Morelos passed up a couple of other chances but overall I think it evened itself out and in the end we should have taken the lead. Overall I'm OK with that result.
  9. It was more a heads up rather than an it should be done Coop. You're entitled to your opinion or how you felt about something and if you felt the subs were disinterested then you should say it. However, for example you can say things like x player didn't play well but something like this that cant be referenced other than from your anecdotal evidence is a something I would point out to my writers might be problematic. EDIT: knowing how petty Traynor is its the sort of thing he or his team might pick up on and its not worth the hassle mate.
  10. Decent write up Coop thanks for that however what I've been reading from other forum posters is that all the subs who were meant to be warming up looked disinterested. Personally speaking I do not curb my writers voice when editing but in this instance where two players are named specifically I would be cautious of publishing any article with names in tact as it is potentially litigious if made public.
  11. I agree Gribz I dont blame Murty either they were the same under MW and PC its the players I question. You cant take a rest as a Rangers player you have to operate to much higher standards than everyone else.
  12. With that logic if neither are on the park then neither of them score. That my friend is the very definition of a tautology. However they were on the park their team worked the chances and the players followed up in numbers into the spaces they created... exactly who it is of their team whom finds themselves in those spots is irrelevant. Its the fact that they had a player anticipating the movement of the ball where ours were static in defence and lethargic mostly everywhere else is what matters to me.
  13. We created nothing in that whole game other than the Morelos goal. St Johnstone didn't have any worldies in spite of what you say DB for their first goal there is only one place he can put it as the other side is blocked by our defence. Its got a long way to travel and the only defence I can find for the keeper there is that he's slightly unsighted. Their second is a shocker no press on the cross to begin with and then they get an unchallenged free header in the centre of our goals on our six yard line. Their third is a well worked move down our left and slotted away nicely low into the inside net on the keepers right hand side. There was absolutely nothing special about the goals they scored. We were devoid of ideas, creation or energy through out the entire game. I'm sorry DB but we were absolutely piss poor from my perspective.
  14. You're right and I don't read or hear any bears arguing about... was it or wasn't it a pen? It wont change the result on the night or even begin to address the discrepancies Rangers have faced in games this season, a possible red card and penalty in this game too, where we seem to be the recipient of much harsher judgement calls. So what is the point of it all then? Is it an attempt to influence the CO to discipline the lad for something that was missed by the officials during the game or is it just another attempt at denigrating anything Rangers?
  15. Thats not good news. Perhaps Nicos injury in training could be put down to the hoodoo but Dorans and Cardoso are only two of our players who've been injured by players of other teams over the last two seasons. If referees stamped down on the rough treatment our players get instead of booking them for stupid shite then maybe we'd get a season where our players stayed relatively injury free. Thats not going to happen though.
  16. Fuckin Yasssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!! Saturday was a well earned win. Tonight was a dig in brilliant result. 5 Blue bookings really Mr Clancy? GIRFUY!
  17. We've not been very good thats for sure but its partly good Hibs play, credit where its due lads, and poor ball retention on our part. Hibs have controlled that game up until the last couple of minutes of the half. Our midfield have been no where near the game.
  18. That tie between PSG and R. Madrid is right tasty. I've got a sneaky suspicion that Madrid can beat PSG.
  19. The key to this game is shutting down/bypassing McGinn in the midfield he is by far their best and most creative player. If we can do that then they'll go long over the top to Murray/Stokes and hopefully our defence can shut those two out of the game.
  20. Or at the very least send him a bottle of Cava that he take to Argentina as present.:roflmao::roflmao2:
  21. Perhaps it is unfair, incidentally I'm not unsympathetic to what Gonzo is saying, and I do understand where he's coming from. However the kicker with this sort of discussion, in order to demonstrate the point I'm going to have to use the example of myself, is that there are no demarcation lines between these statuses. Now, I like to think of myself as a working class guy but the reality is I'm probably not. Like many I grew up in housing estates all through primary school but by the time I was going to high school my dads business had become successful enough that we didn't need to live in those traditional working class areas, and we didn't. Of course I had to work and I also remained in the comprehensive school system where I did my Saturday and summer jobs to earn my pocket money. So yes I had to got to work to make money, and still do, but the truth of it is we had moved up and therefore couldn't really be considered working class any longer. Then as I embark on my adult life I attend university and manage to get myself capped. I still have to go to work every day but I'm now a professional and the people in my circles are all professionals too. That's not to say that my circle of friends are anything other than down to earth its just that the majority of them are professionals of one sort or the other. Doctors, teachers, business advisers, self employed businessmen and freelancers consultants etc etc etc. I didn't go into the family business, I have my own, but perhaps one of my kids will take over when my dad decides to retire which he probably should because he's in his mid 70's now. So the up shot here is that my dad is very much of working class origin, I'm somewhere in between and my kids are definitely not. Just because a person might have to go to work every day does not necessarily make them working class. If their job is of a professional nature or as a business owner then its more than likely in the middle class bracket. I'm all for our club directors attending supporters events its a far more intimate setting than delivering a speech from the pulpit on high and goes a long way to developing a relationship with the ordinary Rangers supporter. Its also a great way to conduct public relations. However and I'll say this again the Parks may well be down to earth but they are second and third generation business people and it doesn't matter how you swing it, it'll be more pronounced than my own example, their circle of friends will not be the 'ordinary Rangers supporters' that you or Gonzo are highlighting. My main point is that we as people need to adapt to modern living... be it embracing technology, our general living standards or working practices such as those Darther brings to the debate above especially when more and more people are working from home via communication devices or the internet. The reality of the situation is that our board have to agree by consensus on any decisions it makes to take the club forward leaving Dave King as merely a name on a piece of paper or rather in today's day and age a computer screen.
