  1. The only thing on our end that could cause this is a corrupt database. I doubt thats likely to be honest and its more likely to be the server host who is having an issue which is not acceptable in the slightest for a paid service.
  2. Its not looking likely and to be honest with you its ridiculous, unthinkable even, that they very day they roll out a new feature HD to hand held devices that a) that they haven't prepared the database beforehand leaving the possibility that its corrupted b) the server host is unable to serve the traffic.
  3. My immediate thoughts on that team are that its overly reliant on Niko and get Miller out of that team and on the bench where he should be.
  4. There is no weighting in the samples he's used which is why its really just a bit of fun but also fairly close...ish.
  5. Welcome to the forum Bill.
  6. The favoured option is to allow the man the first quarter. It wont be stagnation or wasted years because he's already built a far stronger squad than what we had last year. Since you dropped the late Bill Struths name in our last discussion perhaps its time you heed the, 'tolerance and sanity' parts of his words? Oh and coincidentally and, in the nick of time, the Rangers report compiled a dossier of The Best Managers In Scottish Football Since 2011-2012. It makes for some interesting reading. https://therangersreport.com/2017/07/20/the-best-managers-in-scottish-football-since-2011-12/
  7. Warburton was quoted in the press on the 1st Feb this year saying that a deal to extend his contract was close. That was after protracted contract talks during the January window. So he still hadn't extended his contract over that month of talks. We all have an incline he was holding out for more cash which is fair enough but didn't reflect his current form. 10 days later Warburton was gone Pedro was appointed on the 11th of March a full month later, 38 days to be exact, and he still hadn't extended. It was April that it broke that he wasn't going to extend his contract at all. Thats when Caxinhina made up his mind that if he wasnt going to commit to the club then he could train with the kids. He must think we're all daft and that we have really poor memory as far as I'm concerned he's talking out of a hole in his derrier.
  8. First and foremost I'm a Rangers supporter and I don't care who manages our club provided its not a Mc Leish or Ferguson or any other types of supposed Rangers men who according to some, 'could do a job for us'. Its nonsense blue tinted specs material. When I hear these names banded around I need a lumb fitted tae the tap eh my heid to let the steam oot. Ferguson was a football player thats for sure but he has done virtually nothing in the game since he left us. Now he's in management he's done even less but he's got a foghorn in the mheeja who is using him to take pot shots at MY CLUB, ( a wee nod tae Union there ) via the proxy of yet another Rangers manager... You're not that important so shut the fuck up Barry son!. Mc Leish might be able to grind out a few results but after his first season in charge it would be the same old dross that we've seen from him before. Stuart McColl might have been able to do something if we had retained him and gave him a budget but that is a big 'IF' IMO. Remember we still lost 6-1 to Motherwell over two legs in the play off albeit with him using McCoists team, not a respectable battening down the hatches type of result, in fact not good enough at all! Mc Kiness is a good lad I like Derek but his team play is stalwart, turgid, stodgy with little to no flair, it does reflect our captain, flair bit aside, at the time he (Derek) was watching us play in the mid 70's but thats not really a Rangers style it was a make shift team cobbled together from old players and budget buys as we rebuilt the stadium with crowds of 6k. That captain was John Greig a man whom most bears voted the greatest ever Ranger, a great player who scored one of the best 40 yard worldies I've ever seen against Motherwell at Ibrox in 75-76', couldn't win a league title in his 5 years of management. The highest he ever finished in the league was second in 78-79' season and that was with Jock Wallace's treble winning team who beat Juventus, who apart from Munich, are one of the best teams I've ever seen with something like 9 of the Italian 78' World Cup team playing, eventually we lost to Cologne in the quarter-finals, what a trip that was in Koln . Just so as its clear that was Jock Wallace team not Griegs although he did sign Mc Coist that was about it from John. So even with these Rangers men the results and styles are very varied and none of them are or were stick on certs for league titles. The point I'm making here is that anyone is capable of not winning the league for us. What makes us so certain that these names could do it? I don't share that optimism and instead I look more to the current, left over, players who almost made a right pigs ear out of the Championship that last season. Waghorn... he's too busy lifting fridges for a living. His mobility is almost null and void granted he'll run all day but so will a tractor if you put enough diesel in it! Miller? Slept with a player more like it, he's nae football player thats for damn sure but he is a goal scorer and one of the few to have scored 5 goals in one game and done it in a blue gersy at Ibrox too. Aye big man but he was 19-20 years old then no noo. If he's shaking his head its probably so he can hear himself think. He's another one who should cut the cackle and get on with leading the line and scoring goals but then he canny really cause his shunts are done at his age so he strolls around the park looking busy doing hee haw. Lee Wallace apparently not amused either well Lee I've got news for you mate I'm not amused with you either... what is this Lee a Sunday afternoon kick about in the park, just out for a wee stroll, a wee mosey aboot is it? Cut out the ambling up and down the left wing put yer pettit lip away cause yer wee pals at Nottingham and get the finger out! Its a good job these cotton wool wrapped glass men aren't shovelling shite all day like most of the bears in the stands cause if they were then they'd really know all about it. Shut yer gubs and do your job like the gaffers asked you to. Otherwise he should drop you from the team and get someone who will do what is asked. As far as we're concerned we should allow the manager the first quarter if what he shows us is an improvement on last year then he gets a bit longer if not then we have no choice but to wish him well. /end rant
  9. I read this late on Sunday early hours Monday and should have thanked 26 for his piece but it completely slipped my weary mind as I was contemplating the substance with a view to responding below after consideration. With that said I'm not entirely convinced that what we are witnessing is as pre planned nor prepared as the article suggests. For me I also detect that there is a distinct lack of objectivity too, however, aside from maybe two or three across each of the medias, radio, T.V. and print. The consistency has been rather piecemeal with poorly thought out reasoning and argument which on the face of it suggests to me that the presenters of such narrative are doing so within a vacuum or bubble if you will. It seems clear to me that the two or three I referred to above are of the senior variety within the broadcast, commentary and print media whose subordinates literally attempt to curry favour with rather than from any real belief in what they are saying or suggesting. Often times I feel these subordinates, in an attempt to remain relevant within this bubble, are reaching for, and indeed plagiarising, those tried and tested sound bytes espoused by their seniors. From my perspective this is a very noticeable trend which has lead to an incredulity and a distinct lack of authenticity. I agree with the article in that, ignoring or 'not commenting' upon certain behaviours highlights this lack of objectivity. That it neither condones nor condemns those behaviours instead preferring the.... 'Oh here's a fluffy cat'..... does carry a certain insidiousness with it.
  10. Whether or not I, you or any number of bears can understand how this 'TP' style/system is supposed to work is irrelevant DB. At a club like ours there is a natural assumed position that most if not ALL supporters think we should be in. I don't think the board are likely to make any rash decisions on the future of the manager either. However its all very well us being logical during these discussions here and on other message boards but the fact of the matter is it will be an emotional decision born from emotional reactions. Unfortunately after a string of very poor performances/results I don't think Pedro has left himself with much room to maneuver. As I see it Pedro has probably one, maybe two poor performances/results left in him before the stands make the boards decision for them. At that point its over I'm afraid.
  11. I keep hearing this business of the players not knowing what the manager wants or what they're supposed to be doing. Working backwards; (ii) Of course the players know what their roles are and what they are supposed to be doing. Clint Hill was very definite about that in his last interview for the club. Now they are supposed to be professional footballers who should know that the object of the game is to score more goals than the other team. If they don't know that then they are in the wrong business because even we know that and we're just folk who enjoy watching football. (i) Now onto the notion that it all looks a bit haphazard. That is a fair comment... however at this stage its supposed to look a little haphazard. There is no rigid set formation/system in spite of the fact that Pedro lines them up at the beginning of a match normally in a 4-2-3-1. The essence of Caixinha's method is that its system and style is supposed to be non-linear and dynamic. From what I understand of the tactical periodisation methodology that Pedro employs is.... The system is the team and the team is the whole. Again to reiterate what I said above there is a system of learning to win each match, through understanding each others strengths and weaknesses, that players have individual tactical functions to perform but they are little to no use in isolation so its discussed in terms of tactical principles or 'moments and phases of play', that the whole team needs to have an absolutely awareness of at any given instance within a match. The team is being trained to have a personality or style of its own which would be completely different with different personnel. There are a couple of things that concern me firstly there's been reports that some of the players have been complaining about the amount of drills, running and other exercises during training. If that is true then I have nothing... because remember these are supposed to be professional athletes and they are complaining about being trained in their discipline. Think about that for a second. As an athlete training should be about achieving a level of fitness and preparedness for ANY challenges that arise during your competitive engagements. The training that is being used has a very focused intention which is to bring out a specific wining style of game play by collective & individual intentions. What that means is that the focus in training is fundamental team play. ALL individuals accepting responsibility, its about how they interact with each other, how they express themselves individually and how it fits into a team. Considering this its easy to see why the youngsters who played at the end of last season looked good enough because they didn't come with any of that baggage of been there done it wore the t-shirt older players have. Secondly Rossiter in his interview said some of the guys in the dressing room after the game in Luxemburg were saying we were unlucky. No we were not unlucky we acted as if all we needed to do was to turn up. It makes me wonder just exactly how cushy was life under Mark Warburton? If they are not up for it then Rangers isn't for them. At first I thought it might be someone on the park giving instructions on what to do next but from what I seen in the second half at home and in the full match in Luxemburg was simply the players from Warburtons team resorting to playing the way they did with him. Moving the ball from side to side and back again possession the be all and end all and it went absolutely nowhere in the end. Personally I think Pedro's prep work is a 3-6 months ask. The problem for Pedro is that I don't think he's got that long.

    Friendlies

Either you are just being daft or you are being deliberately obtuse. Its fairly obvious he is talking about 'off site' reporting and comments across various media.
  13. He's right about one thing though there is, and has been for forever, a visceral anger in Scotland against Rangers and Rangers supporters which incidentally he also demonstrates in his own irrational gibberish. From reading that my feeling is he was setting out to write yet another hatchet piece but had to rewrite it. In light of the Statements by RFC and RFC fan groups its dawned on him that if what they wish for is realised then the game in Scotland would be torn apart because from those two statements its patently obvious we're not going to be kowtowed by this shower of shite.
  14. Whatever the outcome Boabie you can rest assured it will go right up to the wire or even just a day or two before the season starts before we hear anything giving as little time to respond as possible.
  15. Those who attacked us designed to decimate us leaving us without personnel nor supply therefore it's already been Pyrrhic! You're perfectly entitled to your opinion and from there we don't agree. I have no issues accepting that we don't agree on this topic.
  16. I'm saying this because should there be sanctions forced upon us by the SPFL when the SFA have already released their council notes suggesting it ridiculous. I don't believe our board would stand for it which would leave us at an impasse with the possible ramifications on yet again not having a league to play in. I think even they (SFA), at that point, would struggle to argue against such a proposal.
  17. I can see your point but it would feel Pyrrhic to me personally. Of course its all hypothetical at the moment but if the worst ever came to be then remember, we've already won our battles on their terms we've started over at the bottom and fought our way back to the top league. Granted we haven't won it yet but we've done all of that we've fought the good fight. Now though I'd much rather employ a Fabian strategy instead.
  18. Yes we could join their league but it would be from a very similar position to where we've just come from. The argument has always been that we wouldn't get into the EPL or Championship and thats why it was always negated in one way or another. However there is no argument for a team joining from a lower position or league.
  19. It has to be remembered that the Craig White non payment of PAYE tax that took us into administration and the EBT situation are two separate issues. At this point for me it all hinges on what the SPL/SPFL decide to do/say about it. If they are holding out for a week or two while their place men in the media stoke up the vitriol in order to deliver a statment that will appear to mimic public opinion then there could and should be serious ramifications. To put that in some context at least remember they would not allow us to transfer our SPL share to the new co, we were subsequently left without a league to play in, and all after deduction of points, fines for side letters and other fines and agreements have been decided and agreed to which incidentally should admonish everyone from any further action. The sporting integrity part of the EBT discussion has clearly been dealt with already in LNS which the SPL/SPFL and the SFA were all in concert with accepting. Not that it matters to those calling for further action to be taken. As far as I'm concerned there is no further action that can or needs to be taken and the SPFL statement should have reflected this instead of playing politics through their latest press release and media. If however they are intending further action/sanctions then its clear to me that the reasoning behind such folly would only be to further hamstring us to an ineffectual challenge for years to come. I for one would, advise our board of directors to not be held to ransom and as such I would argue that we 'caw the feet fae unner thum' by in the meantime approaching the FA to establish their terms and starting point of whichever league they deemed necessary for our inclusion there. I have no qualms about joining the FA and starting in a lower league leaving the rest of this cabal to eat its self alive.
  20. I've been thinking about this since the vid was posted and I have got to say I am not in the slightest bit enamoured. In fact, press duties aside with air time, wtf is going on here?. Why is our Captain not talking to the support? Don't treat us like daft Sammy's. I'm starting to get annoyed now.
  21. Craig mate... he stalled on his contract not long ago. From that I can only assume with a fair bit of accuracy that he (his agent) feels they are worth more. The transfer fee bandied around suggest that their estimation was way over the norm.
  22. And somehow you think I need reminding that my Rangers were beaten by a part time club... is there something wrong with you? Or are you just using an appeal to emotion as your best device? If you are then you need to up your game son!
  23. Aye and if my grandmother had wheels she'd be a bicycle. See what I did there DB? Again.... It is what it is... As a football team we need to deal with it. It is the same for ALL except those who are in the middle of their season. If those make it through there will be end of season games they have to contend with too... swings and roundabouts... if you're not marching you're fighting... and any number of cliche's thereafter. If Scottish football wasn't such a parochial backwater football league then perhaps we would have a higher coefficient and wouldn't need to play in these types of games. That's not gonna happen any time soon so in the mean time lets just concentrate on where we are.
