  1. I don't give a fuck about your opinion of other teams. I've always been taught to respect other teams and then beat them handsomely. There is no other leveller needed. We don't need to tell other teams, or ourselves, how good we are or disrespect them. A sound beating has always been suffice as far as I'm concerned.
  2. No we didn't but I can understand why it was an option (to draw the opposition out of their comfort zone onto that wall). Inexcusably it didn't work out for us because we didn't do that. We neither drew the opposition out nor did we control any of the transitions through pressing the ball nor positionally. Its OK to have a footballing philosophy that enforces ones stature or superiority but you do have to exert that superiority in the first place and teams do not deserve to claim that if they cannot exorcise it! Our set up was fine with Jack and Rossiter holding the middle, Krajcar promoted as the pivot to attack, our Wide men did nothing of note in the first half leaving young Morelos isolated in spite of his positioning and runs(unlike Waghorn who just shouted a lot). As a result most of the game was played in and around the centre circle with 6 Rangers players in our own half. That style is never going to hurt anyone. From my observations so far this team has no teeth!
  3. That's unfair on the oppositioni Union they weren't a pub team but they should have been easily dispatched.
  4. Good fortune follows the brave DB! My team looked... One paced, One dimensional and bereft of ideas until it was all too late. Only then did urgency took hold of them. I'll say this again so that I am in no way misconstrued. It is not enough to wear the Blue gersy on must fill it. Or in other words if you do have the good fortune to wear it then you should make yourself the best you can be its why unike any other team in the world we have 5 stars on our shirt. Too many of our players played as if they were having a kick around in the public park. That to me is not acceptable.
  5. If that's true BH then I for one am disgusted by it because unlike the paper throwing incident at the home game this cannot be simply squared away as the actions of kids. Those who travelled to this game, much like yourself, are people with time and disposable incomes. Absolutely appalling behaviour.
  6. DB I've been watching the Rangers for 50 years, that's half a century my friend, and we've never been quick starters however that is not the issue here. The beginning standard of ANY Rangers team should be far higher than these last two years have shown. The improvement to that comes as the season progresses. If it is not of significant standard then it cannot improve by much that is the issue here. We should be much better and playing a game away from home in any competition should be taken with great seriousness by ALL on the grass in a blue gersy.
  7. If the destruction of another's house is true then ALL Rangers supporters should condemn it. I'm not defending anyone. However anecdotal evidence is not of good standing regardless if the poster whom sited it is.
  8. We don't blame others for our short comings. DB mate I'm a romantic myself. I dream of a triumphant Rangers team with class and poise but the thing that separates us from ALL others is that we look at ourselves, identify our weaknesses, our frailties and fix them simply because we hold ourselves to a higher standard. This display tonight was of team who think its easy being a winner. It is not!
  9. UEFA competitions... it is what it is... deal with it! If the mighty Rangers cant deal with a part time football team from Luxembourg then we are in a sorry state as a team. Some of us know the feeling in Germany towards UEFA in general because of there lack of care towards the fans re pricing etc but even at that which is correct in my opinion I'm still not having that DB no no no! UEFA didnt lose this match Rangers did mate.
  10. This Rangers manager seems to be building quite a reputation with his results all, I might add, in the negative. One dimensional, one paced and what seems like only one style of play which no one other than the manager himself knows what it is? I'm finding it quite difficult to be positive about his tenure.
  11. Poor first half Rangers have most of the possession in our own half with no penetration into their box whatsoever. Any time we've been down the wings Tav punts it almost oot the park on the other side and Wallace crosses it back towards the penalty spot every time, when the only man in the box Morelos is making near post runs, thats if he doesnt hit the first man with it. This is not Rangers class!
  12. Foderingham 5...... (wasn't asked to do much but what he did do he messed up) Tavernier 6 Bates 6..................(struggled a little for pace at times but managed to come away with a solid performance) Cardoso 8..............(strolled through the game and offered an option in op box) Wallace 6 Jack 9....................(Looked like he had been there for years read the game well provided cover and IMO MOTM) Holt 6 Kranjcar 9..............(Stole the show in the first half doing all the sexy stuff was MOTM for the game) Dalcio 6.................(flitted in and out of the game needs more time to settle) Waghorn 5.............(Ran around calling, shouting, pointing and got nowhere fast) Miller 7..................(Did very little other than score a goal) Subs: Candeis 5..............(Came on and looked as if he could be impressive on the right wing needs time to settle) Rossiter 5..............(Good to see Jordan playing again came though tough challenges and was fairly solid) Morelos 5..............(Held the ball well but had little time to really impose himself on the game) There's a few in there that need to improve. I believe that will come as the season progresses. The team at times on Thursday was a little lopsided as individuals tired but PC recovered its symmetry with his substitutions.
  13. From the minute it was announced that there would be an investigation I knew it would be described as missiles (thrown objects) anyone who didn't realise that just because it was paper is either not following the current climate of exerting control on large crowds of people/supporters or they are burying their head in the sand.
  14. Niko's ran the show in the first half Craig but I felt the bears at the game or watching it like us on the telly don't need me to remind them of what's absolutely obvious. He's been outstanding so far.
  15. Dominating the game as expected. This Ryan Jack character is a much better player than I first thought (to coin a phrase). Thoroughly impressed with Jack and Cardoso. Dalcio on the other hand flirts in and out of the game for me so a wee bit more from him would be nice. If only we had a striker, who wasn't a 37 year old Kenny Miller, we could be in a much better position in this game.
  16. The whole of the Scottish media is just one hysterical circus of a shit show. First of all to the threads headline. Its not a taunt! The interview took place on Rangers TV which is a pay per view service specifically designed in concert with Glasgow Rangers Football Club by Rangers supporters for Rangers supporters in order to inform and update them on the daily/weekly/monthly business of Glasgow Rangers Football Club in both the closed season and on match days, in addition to, transmitting live match coverage overseas for the Rangers supporter and also delayed match coverage to home countries Rangers supporters..It is entirely possible that supporters of other clubs could be paying the fee for this service however it must be noted that Dave King is not addressing them. I'll say that again Dave King is not speaking to the general Scottish footballing supporter he is only speaking to Rangers supporters and as such any interview on Rangers TV must be viewed with that condition in mind. Its a conversational interview between Rangers supporters. He has not said anything contrary to what Rangers supporters the world over are saying. Its not a taunt, I'll say this again to be absolutely clear, simply because it was not a statement issued to the wider community of football supporters in Scotland through the MSM. It was a conversation between one Rangers supporter and another recorded inside the Rangers TV pay wall. Dave King hasn't made Pedro's job harder by speaking to Rangers supporters in this manner but the Scottish media which has developed a similar attitude of 'Know your place hu....scum ' that we seen on various banners at the piggery and elsewhere recently really don't like that 'we' by proxy of Dave King are now in a position where we can speak openly like this to each other in the Rangers support. Rangers supporters have a choice either leave the dignified silence behind and speak openly or perhaps maybe we should know our place because we're supposed to be dead right?.
  17. It is what it is Blueflag that being its relatively easy to maintain and does a decent enough job of what its supposed to do. When on PC or Mac it's fairly smooth loading times wise but I cant speak for its use on other more modern platforms such as android or ios handheld devices because personally I don't use them for browsing forums. Theres been a lot of talk and indeed some porting in various forums towards Vanilla and also Discourse which contain more or less all the features you might find in a modern browser with nice alert systems and much more functionality. They are both very slick from the front end and apparently they are friendlier to those types of mobile devices too however they are a relatively new project that is still developing at a pace. I'm not sure how easily maintained they are or how much time would be needed to code them... In the case of Discourse I believe it is maintained off site which although could be expensive relieves the burden of tracing security holes. As I say vbulletin does what it does and at that appears fairly adequate for the time being.
  18. Great article on an absolute gentleman off the field that was uncompromising and hard as nails on it.
  19. The completed stadium is 20 years old. Those foundations are nearer 30-40 years old and this after all cash for the upkeep of the stadium was suspended for near on 5 years. If it bothers people so much they should get in touch with the guy doing the freshening up work, go get some 2 and 1 treatment and get down there and sort it. Ohh and mind and wear a blazer, shirt and tie cause you canny be turning up at Ibrox looking shoddy mind.
  20. Still no news about the work permit panels decision surely it should have been leaked to the press by now? Maybe they just need a couple of days to come up with a reason other than 'its a no from me'?
  21. 'This is the modern world' As Paul Weller said in what seems almost an eternity ago now (40 years 1977) Stewarty. The brevity of this 144 character public relations operation feels completely alien to me too however not to stand in the way of progress I'll get used to it (eventually). Even American Presidents are using it for this purpose so I'm gonna sit back relax not get my kecks in a twist about it and have a cup of covfefe.
  22. I'm not one to jump on bandwagons etc but I'm a bit confused by the whole thing really. In an, according to the manager, must win match at home he plays a group of kids in defence (regardless if they were competent or not). Clint Hill in what is presumably his last game for the club is fielded as injured. Unless of course Clint has told him tae fak off you'd have to ask Clint to give you at least a decent 45. In doing so he can walk out to the fans, take his due applause for services rendered, and be Clint Hill in defence for 45 mins. The midfield was completely over run as a 3 against 5 with no alteration from the manager. As I say I'm bamboozled with that whole situation there.
  23. I generally receive this podcast with an irreverent tongue in cheek attitude. On the other hand I am not entirely enamoured by the malaise enshrouding this particular podcast. Let me just say this... we were beaten twice by the same team. On the first occasion my team 'The Rangers' were decidedly poor, because, simply, they were better than us. something at stake or not. On the second occasion my team were poorer, possibly because it was a go for it kinda thing. However as a Rangers supporter I absolutely refuse to be categorised by any east end performance no matter how the current Rangers team looks. We do not define our culture, or play, by how good they are at any given moment in time!
