Alex and Hugh were two great friends who went to Ibrox together on the 2nd January 1971 and tragically didn’t come home. We made contact with their families and today a stone was placed in their memory at Neilston Cemetery. Always remembered by the worldwide Rangers support.

John Buchanan was only 32 years of age when he didn’t return home from Ibrox on the 2nd January 1971. We made contact with John’s daughter Linda and a memorial plaque was placed today at the Linn Crematorium Glasgow. Always remembered by the worldwide Rangers support. We recently found the final resting place of Rangers legend George Young in Grandsable Cemetery in Grangemouth. We were then put in touch with his daughter who gave us permission to carry out the necessary restoration work. Remembered always by the worldwide Rangers support. George Young. Appearances: 428. Goals: 31. Honours Won with Rangers League Titles 1946/47, 1948/49, 1949/50, 1952/53, 1955/56, 1956/57. Scottish Cup 1947/48, 1948/49, 1949/50, 1952/53. League Cups 1946/47, 1948/49. Caps: 53 (Scotland).

After consultation with the family of Mr.Archibald we today restored his stone and placed a memorial plaque at the base in Dunfermline Cemetery. Remembered always by the worldwide Rangers Support.

We’d like to sincerely thank the Dunfermline Loyal RSC for their substantial donation towards the restoration of the Sandy Archibald plot in Dunfermline Cemetery. We’ve managed to locate Mr Archibald’s family and have been given permission to carry out the necessary work. Update to follow.

Walter Shields was only 15 years of age when he didn’t return home from Ibrox on the 2nd January 1971. We made contact with Walter’s family and a memorial plaque was placed yesterday afternoon at Lambhill Crematorium Glasgow. Always Remembered.
