The semi final showed how bad he is and their so-called fans need re-assured so what better way to do that than to write us off.

Barrie McKay for me. If there is a player with a better first touch than this boy then ive yet to see him. Consistent all season yet only came to the media spotlight after helping us destroy celtic.

I disagree with that. I think if we could win the cup and get into Europe it would make a huge difference to the money we spend. It could propel us at least 1 year forward if not more because Celtic would have less time to react. I would expect massive protests though not to give us that Euro place and for it to be upheld.

I meant on the pitch. Even if we qualify for Europe i dont think our spending will be greatly different. We may attract a slightly better quality of player but MW has stressed he wants all his players on roughly the same wage so unless he re-negotiates every contract then i dont see us attracting real quality whether we get in Europe or not. Only my opinion though and i could be way off the mark.

I'm not sure how you can say he will have that philosophy given he has never coached.

 

Just look at McCoist - his teams played very, very differently from the way that he played.

Well for a start Miller looked finished under Ally and looks ten yrs younger under MW. After seeing both types of play which one do you think Miller (if he got the job) would adopt?

I agree about this journey being a pain but to get from Z back to A we've got to travel one step at a time. Its been a long 4 yrs but it'll be worth it in the long run.

The semi final will not really have any bearing on what happens next season because we will be much stronger than we are just now.

I'll throw this in. I think Kenny Miller may well be being groomed as a future coach. Not sure if he would get thrown in at the deep end but he would have that quick pass and move philosophy.

I agree with that mate and if the semi final wasnt looming i wouldnt be as concerned because we will strengthen the defence (i hope) in the summer.
