  1. Hi folks, Looking for some advice re getting the train to Hampden from city centre and then back again after the match. I'm assuming train from Central to Mt Florida is the best option? My thinking was to get a train about 1.5 hours before kick off, and join the queue at Mt Florida after the game for the train back into Central. How long do you generally have to queue at both stations etc? Any trouble on the trains? Any advice much appreciated. (admin if this is more at home in one of the other rooms please move it. I'm aware it's not strictly Rangers related.)
  2. Agreed. Good experience going away with the national side, and hopefully a confidence boost for him. He's well capable of improving that Scotland squad but since he hasn't been on top form for us, it's no surprise he isn't getting a game for Scotland. Warburton seems happy enough with how it has worked.
  3. Just read this. This suggests he's finished.
  4. I didn't notice this. Good to know that it isn't just a completely random ballot.
  5. Just got an email confirming my ticket via CCCS. Get the inboxes checked!
  6. Really is disgusting. People no matter what club they support shouldn't have to fear for their safety going to a football match. It'd appear there are several no go places up there today. Sickening really. I really hope our fans aren't provoked into doing anything stupid, including singing of certain songs. Don't give our toxic MSM any excuse to distract attention from these vile acts.
  7. I had the opposite view on Saturday. I was about 30 mins early for the game so sat outside in the sun for a bit - just outside the megastore. I was watching the hundreds/thousands coming up from the subway and the louden and honestly didn't spot one new top. I was pleasantly surprised!
  8. Can't see a way back for him now. Yes, it'd be useful if the club gave us more information but at the same time that is just giving the MSM further reason to get all over-excited. I think the majority of us recognise that Warburton will have his reasons, and he'll be making a decision for the benefit of the club. Most important thing is the team getting back to winning ways.
  9. Definitely some booing at the end but lasted a second or 2, and as a few players applauded the crowd there was a decent applause from the Govan rear.
  10. As a result of our start to the season, this game is huge. So important we put in a good performance - and obviously the win is the most important thing. We've been getting kicked by the MSM and everyone else for that matter for weeks now. Would love to see the players walking off tomorrow to a standing ovation. Hallday and Tav pumping the crowd up like they did so often last season. Barton drama aside, I was hoping he and Kranjcar would be benched for this game anyway. Taking injuries into account, I hope to see a team something like the below tomorrow. Foderingham Tav, Hill, Wilson, Wallace Halliday Windass, Holt/Forrester Waghorn, Garner, McKay If the game is going our way, hopefully see Crooks make his debut, coming on for Halliday.
  11. The way Barton speaks there suggests there's not much in it. Back to training on Monday, get on with the job.
  12. Yes, true. Isolated incident it'd maybe be let go but repeated incidents are clearly going to be dealt with more harshly. Anyone know how this has been leaked? Wasn't mentioned in Warburtons press conference today was it?
  13. We don't know the full story but for him to be sent home he's clearly causing a problem within the dressing room. If it's true the bust up was with Halliday it would not surprise me if Halliday has reminded him he's not bigger than the club, and Barton hasn't taken too kindly to it.
  14. I don't see what banning them from Ibrox is going to achieve. Yes, it'd be nice not to see or hear them but it doesn't address the issue of hatred and sectarianism. I'd be questioning the stewarding and security at the stadium. Surely these banners etc should be screened on the way in. That does not appear to be happening and needs to be addressed.
  15. Any talk of considering the manager's position is a massive overreaction. However, he definitely deserves some criticism. Same old story but we just can't defend and it comes down to tactics. Again and again we were left exposed at the back, and I'm sick of the nail biting moments that we pass it out from the back. Foderingham's diagonals to Tav consistently put us on the back foot immediately. Plenty individual poor performances. Barton, Kranjcar, Kiernan. Title of biggest flop on the day goes to Senderos with his 2 completely avoidable and embarrassing bookings.
  16. I think Windass sitting next to Kranjcar will be more effective. Windass will do the running that Kranjcar maybe isn't capable of.
  17. Rangers team to face Celtic - Foderingham, Tavernier, Kiernan, Senderos, Wallace, Barton, Windass, Kranjcar, Miller, Garner, McKay Surprised at Garner's inclusion but not disappointed. Forrester can feel hard done by I think but he'll defo feature in the game. Bold attacking line up!
  18. Agreed, I think we're really missing Holt. However, it sounds like Windass had a great game on Saturday (albeit against far inferior competition), and can do a similar job to Holt i.e. linking the midfield and forward line with intelligent movement and energy. So Id like to see him gven a start. I think our starting CBs will be Senderos and Kiernan - given Wilson's injury. Here's hoping Senderos can be the 'experienced head' that Kiernan needs alongside him to keep him focused.
  19. According to McCulloch on the Clyde phone in tonight, Wallace was indeed excused by Scotland medical staff.
  20. Headline on STV news at 6pm: "Lee Wallace withdraws from Scotland squad then travels with Rangers to Belfast" Expect this kind of stirring from tabloids but not the news.
  21. More importantly let's hope this injury is nothing too serious and he's ok for our visit to parkheid.
  22. Whenever he played during the Mccoist era he made a positive contribution. At that time I felt he shouldve been in the team as opposed to out on loan whilst we made do with guys like Black in midfield. However, there's no way he has a place in this Rangers team now. Hope he finds a club.
