There was a lot of speculation that Le Guen was put in place to attract potential buyers - namely a consortium led by people inside the French TV channel CANAL+.
I guess any kind of deal is out of the window now.

When Le Guen was appointed manager, I was thrilled. Here we were, getting a manager who could really take us places after the dark days of Alex McLeish. Now that we're facing the prospect of turning to a manager who was hounded out of the club nearly 10 years ago, I really don't know what to think. The positives are that Smith (and his mooted team of McCoist, McCall, etc) know the ethos of Rangers Football Club. Surely this should see us turning the corner domestically and inject the passion that has been missing from large chunks of the playing squad.

I don't think there will be a massive clearout in January. I think any new manager would at least want the chance to work with some of these players to see if their form could be improved.
Saying that, there's no place at the club for Letizi, N'Diaye and the young French lads.

If we do sign Gattuso, it'd be fantastic. At the moment though, I fear this is just fantasy.

Yup, I saw this earlier. It's an updated version of the Webster story.

If these players sign I will be very pleased. Another decent centre-back and maybe a striker would also be good...

I'd have to see what kind of performances these guys turn in under the new management.

I can see it being after the Scottish Cup game, so Monday or Tuesday sounds about right.

Some decent players...

We are crying out for a decent centre half - someone who can sort out our defence.

I don't think he is a million miles from the truth, but it's crazy to be demanding that Le Guen be sacked.

Does anyone know if Lee Martin is still on loan?

If we can't beat ICT, then there is no chance of us winning the UEFA cup.
Still, I wouldn't mind it if we did....

Let's just let them get on with it over there. I can't say this outcome is unexpected - not after last time.

Why has he got to take every free kick?
Why does he continually drop back and take the ball off the back four who are facing in the right direction when he is facing back to the keeper?
Why does he insist the play always comes through him?
It's because he is 'Mr. Rangers'. Didn't you know?

Perhaps we sholuld just sit on our hands until Murray sells up and then start afresh with a new chairman.

Sebo = shi*t.
There is no other way to put it. I'm not making him out to be the scapegoat here, just addressing the simple facts. It's a sad time when C*lt*c sign a player like Jan Hesslink and we end up with Filip Sebo.

He has been playing well recently. Hopefully Sebo will start and he'll score a brace tonight.
'Sebo! Sebo! Sebo!'

Someone with a proven track record and experience of the British game. We need to make sure of second place and IMO its not the time to be taking a risk on an unknown player. But with the results going well at the moment I'm not sure PLG will bring in a new defender which I think could be a big mistake as Hemdani just isn't good enough in the air.
Svensson should be the one winning the balls in the air, though I do admit that Hemdani lacks a certain something when it comes to power in the air.

Let's stop looking back to the past.

Good read.

I don't know much about this player. Let's just hope that if this is true, Dica is actually a player that Le Guen wasnts to sign - as opposed to someone who is fourth on his list of targets.

I was talking to Billy (Corbyger) on FF the other night and he told me that the site was supposed to be down for about 12 hours for maintenance, but the hosts fucked up & it's been down ever since. It should be back up and running shortly though.
Cheers.

FAO Older Bears - is this worst crisis club has been in
in Rangers Chat

As I'm only 24, I've got the say that the last two seasons have been the worst I've known since I started supporting Rangers.
My first game at Ibrox was back in '87, so you could say that I'm used to the more glorious days...
