  1. I feel the solution at the moment which i have been saying since the start of the season is we need to change our formation to suit each team we face. We don't have the quality (spine of the team) to play 4-3-3 and it leaves us badly exposed against anyone willing to have a go. Also the forwards are changed around too much no understandings being built and nowhere near enough goals i mean if you look there is only 1 league game this season that we have scored more than 2 goals, Killie at home, Miller top scorer on 6 after 24 games is not good enough and that's down to how we play for me. I have supported MW to the hilt, the off field work youth etc is great, i even like the philosophy of football we play but we don't have the players for it atm and he has to learn to adapt the system to what we have. for me a 3-5-2 would benefit us greatly, Fod, Hill, Senderos, Wilson, Hyndman, McKay, Holt, Tav ,Wallace, Garner, Waghorn Garner needs a partner to run onto all his flick ons etc. 3 CB's to give us a solid back line with a CDM and 2 Full backs and you have 2 forwards and two Midfielders ready to counter. That's only my opinion i know some would prefer 4-4-2 or even 4-5-1 but the main thing is it needs to change and soon or i fear this up n down form will continue and ultimately cost MW his job, and honestly i do think he has the makings of being a great manager if he loses his stubborn do Plan A better ethos. P.S lets not get on at each other we all love our club and we all want what is best and to see us on top but for now all we can do is support the team and follow on.
  2. The big problem this season has been the players brought in during the summer haven't added what we thought to the squad, Gilks - done well when asked- left. Hodson - reliable Hill - Done well but struggles against pace. Senderos- looked decent yesterday think being thrown in against the mhanks didn't help. Barton - disaster Kranjcar - unlucky to be injured as he was starting to make an impact. Windass - flashes of a good player but fitness/injuries hampered. Crooks - injured not given much game time. Garner - fights n scraps needs more goals. Dodoo - done well not given enough chances. Rossiter - ???????? So overall a mixture of bad luck and fitness problems have hampered us and we now find ourselves stuck like this until the summer.
  3. Thought Tav was our best player today along with Holt n Hyndman worked hard in both attack and defence but what i see is basically we get into a good wide position but on too many occasions we stop and pass the ball around the box and eventually fizzles out, we need to get the ball in straight away once we are in that position, the second part was we don't have enough people in the box a few times today Tav got into to good positions and there was no one in the box, a shame as i felt he had his best game in a while.
  4. After watching us being slaughtered by a poor Hearts side, and after months of defending the manager i have to admit it's becoming a major problem, this system is not working at all we are far too open and exposed. For the forseesable i want to see the formation changed and a consistent team selection the constant tinkering is causing the players to be unable to build an understanding with each other, The formation itself is just not working for us and if the manager wants to remain here he has to stop being stubborn and start changing the formation for each team we face.
  5. The first goal was a ball over the top and winger gets behind Tav and pulls away from Hill and there was another few times it happened down that side after the goal which yes didn't cause many more problems but it resulted in giving away the free kick at the end with the winger behind Tav again. The formation is fine if the wide players are playing well but atm it's not happening and something has to change, surely?
  6. Sasa Papac Thomas Buffel Kevin Thomson Jason Holt Alexei Mikhailichenko.
  7. It's widely accepted to hate Rangers and everything and anyone associated with us because they wanted us to be wiped out and because it didn't happen we are seen as "fair game". Every team has its idiot element that embarrass their club as a whole. But this seems to be majorities of clubs fans feel its ok to abuse us and our players i mean look at Lee Wallace being labelled a "grass" because he was attacked after a cup final on national TV. Personally i don't care if no one likes us the feelings mutual in most cases but there is a line not to be crossed, which for me is attacking players or team buses or hanging effigies from stands but with us it's ok because its Rangers.
  8. The thing that's becoming really clear reading through the posts is i think most people agree that the system we are playing isn't working and needs to change. By all means if we take the lead/grip of the game change into the 4-3-3 but for me we are playing an attacking formation and the attacking part isn't working leaving us vulnerable to high balls down each wing pulling one of the CB's out wide who are being outpaced by wingers. This "do plan A" better is becoming really frustrating you need to adjust to who your playing and at the moment the gaffer's stubbornness to stick with the system is costing us.
  9. The frustration for me is much like the game with THEM and again today i fell playing the 4-3-3 at home or once you take a grip of the game is fine but i'd prefer to play 4-4-2 think we need out forwards closer together to put pressure on the opposition defence. Far too slow in the attack, don't get the ball in the box quickly enough to hurt teams. Another point is we need to stop chopping n changing the starting 11 til we get back on track, it's getting so disappointing building up to games thinking this is the turning point to be left frustrated that we look toothless in attack. I hope we can sort it and also the gaffer sees the system has to change dependent on the opposition each week.
  10. Listened to the Interview and have to say that i'm not going to start calling for him to be axed from the team, he cares about us winning and i would rather have players who care than players who don't, we know he's opinionated, we know he's struggled for form but to be fair so have many others, in my opinion we need to get behind the team and push through this rough spell, please let's not start blaming individuals and fighting amongst ourselves, yes football is about opinions and i respect that but i hate seeing players being singled out for abuse because it gets us nowhere, We Are The People lets show our class and move forward for the challenges ahead.
  11. He had a small op on his ankle was coming back into 1st team then rolled the same ankle in training and went back to specialist but should be back full training this week all going well.
  12. I think at times we are too harsh on Kiernan and Wilson with Barton n Rossiter giving cover in front i think we would look a bit more solid at the back just my opinion though.
  13. Think Senderos would do a job for us as back up for the CB positions and who knows may even force his way in just need to see how it pans out i trust the magic hat will make the right decision as at the moment not put a foot wrong with regards to signings.
