I don’t understand the loan part of the deal unless it’s related to the time left on his contract with Lens. Perhaps the time Rangers need to save up for the fee.
All clubs are doing this now, basically managing outgoing finances in terms of financial fair play etc. I think Diomande is on a similar basis?.

It does say obligation, so we'll be buying him next Summer.
Yup, this is basically OC signing on a 5 year contract.

Old Trafford is in the state it's in purely down to lack of maintenance, preventative maintenance is essential with any exposed structure, neglect that and it's not long before the costs will spiral, we got into the same place ourselves not so long ago. We need to continue to grow, to extract profit as much as possible, we've already seen that we can't rely on european money, and we've made some poor contract choices in recent years too.
Kudos to you for travelling up twice a month, that's superb.

All made some contribution but only Jack despite frequent injury was consistent at a good level.
Agreed.

Brilliant. Time we moved on from this squad, onwards and upwards.

No one knew who Lawwell was when he took over, and take over he did.
Profile is irrelevant.

We need a high profile, big hitter for the CEO role at Rangers. One who is prepared to confront the SFA and the SPFL.
The response from the club to the corrupt refereeing last Saturday was abysmal
Disagree, we need someone who is good at their job, profile is irrelevant if you know your onions.

Tan man was way after our first CL adventures.

That may be the case, Rab, but we have lost Cordoba to Norwich City. That is due to salary and nothing else I don't it's because Norwich will be in Europe next year. They have no chance so effectively we don't have enough to offer Cordoba enough of a salary. Lets see what the Argentinian brings, he looks next on the list we may get lucky. WATP
Rubbish.
Players go to such English clubs as Norwich as it offers them a faster route to a Premiership contract, and that's about the height of many players ambitions.

I was at Bartram's first game (If my memory is right, which doesn't often happen!), I think we beat Falkirk 3-1 at Ibrox and he scored?
Christ, I was right! Was gonna say I thought it was Bombers debut too.

Yes, that's what I said.

Yup, was just gonna say that, they actually played him up front. Less expectation, and fans not howling at him when he took a poor touch probably helps too.

794 minutes in 365 days?. Welcome to the ward, son.

Not a huge outlay, maybe he'll be getting a jefte signing on fee.
I'll get my coat.

No one said that we wanted a team full of youth.

Of course a balance is required, but right now we're not short of experienced players, we need to up the number of young, hungry players who are willing to learn and improve their game. I'd far rather see us sign Barron from the sheep than McLean, granted he's not as good a player right now, but at we have to develop young signings to gain a better team and more value in the squad. This should also alleviate our ridiculous wage bill - Apparently higher than Atalanta's.
Youan from Hibs isn't a bad buy at £2.5M as well btw, he's done well in a shite team.
Anyway, all of this is pure conjecture, McLean is probably just the usual lazy rumour.

But to state a player who played almost every minute for Norwich this season, was their POTY and a n international player, can't cut it elsewhere
We better bring back Lammers then, he's roasted the Eredivisie. 😉

But you said he can't cut it elsewhere which is blatantly untrue.
It's not really, did you watch him when they were in the PL? he was in his 20s then, and wasn't particularly impressive. I'd rather sign players that shone in a brighter, more technical league than the championship. Kamara made it look easy.
If it wasn't for Butland, Tav would probably be our player of the year, but I wouldn't sign him, would you?.
It's okay to have a different opinion to yours Cammy.

Do you mean Erhahon? He's in League One and recently was voted their player of the year for Lincoln I think. Wouldn't be expensive. Not a bad shout.
No, young Scots lad that went south last season.
Edit- Dylan Reid, 19, went to Palace. No idea how he's doing, but he certainly looked a good un.

Kenny McLean can't cut it elsewhere?
Played the entire season for Norwich (close to 50 games) and played 7 times for Scotland this season.
On a low fee, he is a decent option. However with 2 years left of his contract, can't see it happening.
He's 32. Not for me, I couldn't care less what he did in the championship.

Kenny McLean is a naw for me, we need to stop being a retirement home for Bears that can no longer cut it elsewhere. What happened to the young midfielder that left St Mirren last year, the one that knocked back Tenko?.

If he's 32 instead of 22 I'd get the money motivation
Many players will (rightly or wrongly) see Norwich as an easier passage to the riches of the EPL than going via Govan. This is sadly viewed as the real prize nowadays by your average footballer, not the CL.

Good.
For the simple reason that the first time our new players walk out the Ibrox tunnel, they'll get the atmosphere of a new season, feel the weight of the Jersey and thrive on the expectation.
