  1. We have actually played English opposition competitively 24 times if you discount the early FA cup ties. Including Coronation Cup, Texaco Cup, Tennent Caledonian Cup and Anglo Scottish Cup. The overall picture is no better though. P24 W6 D5 L13 Slight improvement including the FA cup P28 W9 D5 L14
  2. Did they employ a consultant to broker the deal? Same as they did with cinch. If so thats another mill or so brown enveloped
  3. Don't be fooled by @forlanssisterand his fancy wordies. He's from Peterheid and rough as a badgers arse. I'm little better, but at least I don't cherry pick a thesaurus before posting
  4. I had to look that up. As, I suspect, did he.
  5. No much wonder, you asked me to take it back, get refund, put on a burka and sunglasses, go back in and buy it again.
  6. He knows nothing about retail, bought a top last year 5 minutes before it was discounted by 25%
  7. Dave King propaganda Bleeding obvious.
  8. Was John Greig their manager at the time?
  9. 1982, it was actually 3 games we conceded 4 goals if you count a 2-4 defeat to Southampton in a testimonial friendly that was sandwiched between the 2 Aberdeen games. We did manage to score 3 goals in those end of season disasters unlike our current run of 11 with no reply. Anyway, to answer your question, technically we have never conceded 4 or above in 3 consecutive competitive games. But If we consider friendly ties, it has occurred twice. August 1902 3rd Lanark 2-4 (league) Hibs 1-4 (F) Separate Entity 2-7 (F) December + Jan, 1888/89 Morton 2-7 (F) Blackburn Rovers 2-6 (F) Abercorn 1-6 (F)
  10. Beat Napoli 5-2 Ibrox friendly 1958. Liverpool away, thrice 1899 , win 2-0 Later same year, loss 2-3 1924, win 2-0 Overall 10 friendlies against the burglars. W4, D2, L4 *1924 was billed as unofficial British championship. 6 games against the cloggies. 4 competitive defeats 1 friendly win and 1 friendly draw

My mistake, I could have chosen the wording of my comments much better. Nevertheless may I enquire, would you buy a shirt if the sponsorship were an alternative to gambling? I wouldn't, too old and fat.

Fair enough, but others were moaning about adverts on shirts not me. I suspect the majority of those offended by the nature of our sponsors wouldn't buy a top anyway. Partnerships and sponsorships may very well be flourishing under Bisgrove, I have no idea if they could be better, or if he's maximising to the utmost. Its the other retail areas that both affect and concern me. A recent example, @forlanssisterand I visited the Rangers store in Belfast, now I'm always up for buying memorabilia and club related merchandise, but I walked out empty handed. There was nothing to be purchased save sports gear, sized and designed for a much younger and athletic version of Gaspard. As I mentioned, HSV are a great example of football club retail, superb range, reasonable prices and efficient service.

Would have thought everything he is responsible for has some sort of associated service?

I don't know if he was a driving force brokering the Australian insanity, but I do know his response to the fans reaction demonstrated how out of touch he is with the grass roots of the club. Our retail is still miles behind where it should be. Have a look at our online shop, then compare us to Hamburg. Visit any of our shops, they are Castore outlets not RFC. The catering at the concessions has been dire for years, an under exploited revenue stream, and the change of provider sadly looks like an opportunity missed. Is Bisgrove doing a good job? Well, its very difficult to improve a brand and increase sales and revenue in a competitive environment, however when you have a customer base that are completely captive, will not defect to a rival brand and will often forgive poor service and product due to blind loyalty, then the task should become much easier.

  17. So the self proclaimed daily record Rangers Blogger is a staunch spoon burner? Fill yer boots laddie
  18. As do I. Not going to debate here though, Transfer thread so think we've deviated from the topic
  19. He's a scotch nationalist so cannot possibly be a Rangers fan. He pretends to be for his own mercenary reasons just like every other seditious attention seeking imposter claiming to be a bear whilst championing the jock republicans and their IRA comrades.
  20. Lost me there, not sure what I commented on that wasn't relevant to the quoted post. With respect, I think you may be reacting to your own interpretation of my post and back pedaling somewhat. You say there are many other ways to keep memories alive, well we have a movie, a dinner, a book and another few bits and bobs available to those who wish to purchase. That’s got your knickers in a twist apparently, so what do you suggest would be appropriate for the 50th anniversary? Please bear in mind the players are getting a cut from all the merch and the dinner. I would suggest that the folk buying the items are older bears who can afford to do so. The relentless release of overpriced Castore tops and training gear, that hard pushed parents feel compelled to buy, is, for me a greater moral issue if we are discussing merchandise bombardment.
  21. If you don't like something don't participate, did you buy any of the merchandise that annoys you so much? The team that triumphed 50 years ago have already lost players, how many will still be around for the 60th anniversary? We should be honoured to join them and commemorate our only Euro achievement, future bears will not have that opportunity. Or maybe we should just celebrate games you can remember.
  22. Interesting, I thought the govan upper rear would lose standard seats
