  1. We wore them against St Midden recently.
  2. Strange one this, Ally obviously doesn't fancy him but Pavone was one of the few shining lights for River last season and i don't think there would be a fee for him. Again,i'm left a little puzzled at Ally's choices.
  3. Lets give the guy a chance to adapt to a different type of football and playing for a new team. I played football here the other day for the first time in 10 years. Last few years have been in Australia and straight away i notice how quick it was. I wasn't up to speed. Lets judge the guy after say 10 games...
  4. Released by Newcastle, surely would be a good addition to the squad??
  5. Well we ain't nowhere near the group stages and should never believe we are. One word, Kaunus.
  6. It points towards that old moral of don't burst your arse at work cause no one will notice. IMO Wylde IS worth 1.5 thousand a week easy. He's proved it. I don't think it send out a great message to young players. What's the point in progressing and playing 20 plus games and impressing if you're not going to be offered a fair contract? But also Wylde should play his cards carefully or he'll just be another Danny Wilson. Think about it, for him to lets say, sign a new 3 year deal,by the time he reaches 22/23 he'll still be on 800 a week which for a lad playing for the champions of Scotland and in Europe and soon to be an international is pretty piss poor from the players point of view.
  7. Ally is working with what he has just as Walter had to. I'm sure he's working around the clock to try and get the required faces in to improve where needed. I'm not going to read too much into friendly matches.
  8. He can run but he cant hide for long.
  9. TBF mate, you say Dalgleish bought the EPL but Manchini has had all the money in the world and so far is nowhere near winning it so Dalgleish must have something about him as a manager. Personally i don't see why there is all this hostility towards Adam, WE fecked him off. I wish we still had him. Good luck to the lad.
  10. Ok you don't really have to understand Spanish for this to make you laugh. He's swearing a hell of a lot. La concha de su madre is something like 'the Pus$y of your mother' and Puta is slut. Very funny.

    Joe Cole

Seems like he's lost a bit of interest in football IMO, If it was possible i'd love to see him at Ibrox. He'd excite the fans and maybe he'd start enjoying his football again.
  12. I agree, remember seeing Fleck for us against Blackburn in Sydney and he looked very sharp. But he's been more than unlucky with injuries. Who's to say he can't do a Naismith and turn his career around. Hopefully he can stay clear of injury and get a run of games, im sure he can prove his worth.
  13. Are any of us surprised? I asked on another thread if anything had been reported yet in the press pretty much knowing nothing would have been. What a joke, i hope they continue to show their true colours as it'll come around sooner or later. As for the BBC growing a set, well i won't hold my breath.
  14. Anyone showing interest in this one? Managed to get down to La Plata on Sunday and saw Brazil vs Venezuela. Just my luck Brazil were rank rotten:twisted: At least there was a few Brazilian hotties kicking about Think the tournament organisers at the AFA made a good decision on venues for this tournament. In order to get football more over in the other rural areas of the country, only the final is being played in Buenos Aires. Gives the public the chance to see some top class football that doesn't usually happen in their part of the country. Should also be an open tournament, more so than others. Brazil and the hosts have already stumbled but should recover but then there's Uruguay who will look to build after their impressive run at last year's WC. The late inclusion of Costa Rica after Japan pulled out won't make too many waves. Mexico will want to show their muscle in this continent as the Mexican club teams have flattered to deceive in the Copa Libertadores. Could well be an interesting tournament.
  15. Hopefully we can see him do this for us http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39pgkaKOPwI
  16. Great news to get these two signed on again, Ally's done a fine job here. Clearly he's sold his plans to the players and that's a top thing. We are still way short of personal needed for the squad but i think Whitts and Greegs signing on is not only an indication that they want success with us, but that they believe players are on the way. Lets hope so anyway.
  17. Has there been any reports in our press about the Sellik fans ala scum being scum for what happened at this game???
  18. Heard Sellik had a late penalty denied...Damned Australian refs, expect some sort of appeal to be launched...
  19. First things first, no way am i defending them nor will i ever defend them. However Stewards in Australia are complete twats toward football fans. I went to many games when i lived there and they get on at you for waving a flag around. In saying that though, there was no trouble when i saw the Gers there last year, just a cracking good ol sing song :-)
  20. 43 people reported injured. They are call it 'The Battle at Momumental'.
  21. Exactly, In Argentina the AWAY fans leave first. If you are in the home section of the ground you won't be able to leave the stadium for 45mins to an hour after the game has finished. As expected, River fans have lost it. Just watching the news now. Trashed parts of the stadium and multiple arrests after fights with police.
  22. Yep there will be a fair bit of trouble around the stadium just now. Belgrano fans will probably be fine, no home fans can leave the stadium until the away fans have left. River fans will be more interested at getting to the players and board members more than anything else.
  23. Thats that then, River in Primera B next season for the first time in their history. Pegged back to 1-1 they then missed a penalty and couldn't do anymore.
