  1. I think you've got to bear in mind that McCrorie has only played in 4 games for Rangers, yes 2 were against Celtic, but he's still relatively untested in a Rangers shirt. I think we have no choice but to bring in an experienced keeper to either push him for number 1, or to be the number 1 with McCrorie pushing him, which for me is preferable. Another way to look at it is that half the games he's played in have been games where he's likely busy. We don't know for sure how he will do when he regularly plays in games with nothing to do for 85 minutes. We don't know how McCrorie will react if he makes a mistake, he may excel, he may crumble. He's also still on the young side for a keeper, so plenty of time. With those unknowns, I think we have no choice but to go out and look for a number 1 and maybe use McCrorie as the cup keeper for example. I can see both points of view as if we don't throw him in, we will never know the answers to the above, but I still feel time is on his side.
  2. Just a warning, think he's a doubt for the game...
  3. found it... I rather enjoy the irony about cake in there.....
  4. In fact, I'm pretty sure I remember Boyd became the face of a mattress advertising campaign when he played for them..... I'll have a look for it
  5. Yup, Steven Smith played for them too A quick google had Boyd at 27 games 7 goals...
  6. I can't stand 'minor' knock.... what, as opposed to one of those major knocks?
  7. I'm hoping now that seasons are starting to end, we can start annoucing signings, as many as possible before the break, or during the break at the latest so we can hit the ground running come pre-season
  8. I would say, defenders are probably more at risk for “impact” injuries and attackers from muscular injuries as attackers are usually running and defenders are usually hitting
  9. To put it further into context, I just looked it up to remind myself and at the time, the average Championship wage was between £7.5k-a-week and £8.5k-a-week
  10. I'm pretty sure they will get bonuses for staying in the prem, qualifying for Europe, finishing in the top 4, getting to cup quarter-finals etc as well, so to an extent it will go both ways but with the huge drop off in revenue for the club, I don't think they have a choice but to put those cluases in players contracts. I think the best example is somebody like Jack Rodwell, who refused to leave Sunderland when they were relegated from the prem because he couldn't get the same wage elsewhere. Sunderland got relegated again but he was still on £70k+ while they were in League 1 and eventually just ran his contract down Ironically, the MD/DOF equivalent at Sunderland at the time....... Mr. Martin Bain
  11. I genuinely believe (delusion) that Morelos could win us the game tomorrow, especially given the absence of Carter-Vickers, who has tended to have his number in prevous games
  12. Its such lazy jounalism to continually bring up this guard of honour shite, its not gonna happen, everybody knows its not going to happen, they wouldn't do it if the shoe was on the other foot, just lazy journalism
  13. Players dropping from the prem to the championship tend to have it written in their contract that they will get a minimum of 40-50% wage reduction, although, would still probably be on more money than we gave him
  14. Last two games against Celtic he has absolutely strolled it, only 16 as well
  15. I think no Carter-Vickers or Alistair Johnston could see a very different game if we pick well on the left hand side of the pitch
  16. I don't think Van Veen is the sort of striker that fits Beale's system, or we would have seen more of Colak, injury aside
  17. Maybe open themselves up to Liverpool complaining about the way they were being swindled out of a clause? Can't see a legal route they would have, but you never know with modern day football contracts...
