  1. I think he likes to get in about it, don't know much about him tbh, other than seeing him play against rangers this season. can play as a RB or DM, think he can also drop in at center back if need be.

You just need to look at media outlets and social media to see how livid some of the Aberdeen fans are about this, I don't think they would be this up in arms if he wasn't a decent player, plus he is their captain.

I follow a guy on twitter called theSPFLradar, he does a lot of analysis on players, from memory I think Jack rates quite highly on interceptions and and defensive duels, I don't think he is going to be the prettiest player, I think he will be used to go and win the ball in midfield when we lose possession.

I think he's the kind of player who, when he's playing well, you don't really notice him.. if you know what I mean

  2. Very good you went beyond a quik glance at Wickipedia you mentioned non league and never said you were ignorant stop putting words in my mouth that are not there

I didn't go further than wikipedia, its on the wikipedia page, just 2/3 scrolls further than you went...

Macadonia are a half decent team though always cos Scotland problems exactly like Georgia do they have good technical skillful players comparing there league to English non leagues pure ignorance

    putting words in your mouth.....

  3. Macadonia are a half decent team though always cos Scotland problems exactly like Georgia do they have good technical skillful players comparing there league to English non leagues pure ignorance

I wasn't comparing them in the slightest and such don't think its fair to say i'm ignorant, i was simply pointing out that when using stats, you have to look at the wider picture, for example, Tarpey has scored a lot of goals, but its not at a high level.. Also, not sure I would class 27 games and 2 goals for Macedonia as a fantastic goal scorer...

  4. Ferhan Hozani has a year left on his deal still 26 has a fantastic goal scorer for a winger for club and country top stats

This guy is playing the Macedonian league...... He had a short spell at Brondby but then decided to return to a Macedonian team, doesn't show much ambition to me...... Also, stats should only be considered if looking at the wider picture, for example, there is a guy who plays for Maidenhead United(Dave Tarpey), a 6th tier team in England who scored 45 goals this season, however, I have seen him play and I wouldn't want him in a Rangers shirt

  5. Yeah DH iv seen them to, plus Walker, Nicholson and Paterson at Hearts, McGinn and Cummings at Hibs, Boyce at Ross County, Crawford at Hamilton Dorrans, Naismith, Whittaker and Lafferty at Norwich, Charlie Adam, Bruno Alves, Rachid Sumilia, Paulinho (Guy that plays in the portugese 2nd division Winger/striker), Ryan Gauld and about 3 or 4 players PC used to manage in Mexico. The press have linked us with a load of player, I think down to the fact they don't have a clue who we are going for and they are just hoping they get some right

Will Vaulks to add to that list

  6. Good point about the Wembley move and then they'll take a couple of seasons to settle at the new Lane.

I admire the play of 'Arry Kane but he's not Sanchez, Aguero or Costa and I don't think he ever will be.

I think this is where he reminds me of Alan Shearer, very highly rated in England, but never really going to be rated that highly on the continent or anywhere else outwith the UK

  7. Considering I was the original match preview author (although the bar has been raised since I stopped) and nobody has taken this one up I thought since I am off for the day I'd kill some time before hitting the beach bars for a few lunchtime birthday cocktails.

This match certainly has an end of season feel to it and Im guessing a lot of bears like myself are actually looking forward to the final whistle of the final game - for various reasons that we want to address the squad for next season and reflect on our first top flight campaign on what was a 5 year journey through the divisions. I dont think the last 4 previous campaigns has been considered too much and a lot of focus has been put on our budget compared to other clubs - yet a new squad was assembled and not use to playing this level in August last year and every opponent we play raise their game because the only show in town is facing them.

As such it means our season has fizzled out a bit and we have cemented 3rd. Going back to the start of the season there was opinions coming from all angles as to where we should be finishing. An exceptional semi final performance against Celtic 13 months ago had some believing a total push could be done others thought mid table while realistic posters like myself said top 3. And thats what we have which has brought my aim of European football - probably plenty will be discussed in a few weeks of the importance of that - so thats for another day.

The season has been unexpected - which maybe should have been expected - with the managerial change we didnt envisage at the start of the season and now we have Pedro who talks wonderfully but a few are raising the concern as to if the players know what he wants. I myself had a knee jerk reaction during the league OF game recently questioning if the manager was capable of learning from mistakes. But I am still happy to give him time and the summer transfer window will be important.

Our last home game of the season see's the side who have finished 2nd come to Ibrox. A team whose fans can be as hostile as it gets for a domestic game and coming from the city I have learned a few times the hard way. But over the 3 games we have played Aberdeen this season I think we have clearly been the better side with only the second half in the most recent 0-3 victory being when they have outplayed us yet we managed to run away with 3 goals in that half.

There has been a bit of spice added to the fixture with the managers throwing comments at each other and Rangers being linked with one of Aberdeens supposed better performers Ryan Jack who wont be fit for the match. The main aim should be for the fans to give our team a good send off for the summer and for them to return the favour with 3 points and keeping Aberdeens winless streak at Ibrox to 26 years.

Our injury list consists of defenders Rob Kiernan, Philippe Senderos, Danny Wilson, Lee Wallace plus midfielders Jordan Rossiter and Niko Kranjcar.

Therefore we may see a starting line up of:

    Foderingham

    Tavernier Hill Bates Beerman

    Holt Halliday

    Waghorn Miller McKay

    Garner

Would I start with that team? Probably not, Id be looking for Joe Dodoo to start and possibly Josh Windass in place of Garner and McKay - which Pedro may very well do. Lets see.

    Happy birthday, enjoy!

  8. Unit sure what sort of team we are going to put out at Perth then because if Pedro does the cull right, we will only have about 4 players with a future on Sunday!

I do like this way of doing it though, it gives all the players told they don't have a future plenty of time to find another club and they can get their agents on the case right away. We need these guys off the books asap so we can start bringing in new players before June 5 when pre-season begins.

Agreed, to me it shows professionalism and seems he is a very personable man who wants everything done outside the media. Also, he has the balls to tell somebody to their face that they're not good enough and they need to move on which is surprisingly lacking in today's managers.

  9. I know mate, I was just trying to be realistic with where we are, unfortunately I think we will be shopping in that market just now:( unless there is substantial investment. I do think those players would strengthen our ranks while weakening our opposition. Could be wrong Pedro might whip out Van Persie and Miguel Veloso :P

Don't forget Cazorla, Navas and Ibrahimovic :champs:

  10. If you watch his press conference posted he was asked about him and said that, however he said it was not up to him, he was only commenting on a fellow international team mate, what else could he say?

Agreed, not sure he would risk causing problems in his national squad by saying "Na, I don't want Lafferty here, he's a f*nny"

  11. I think if PC wants to play to Garner's strengths we will see wingers being signed as I don't think we have any out and out wingers who could put a ball into the box, maybe with the exception of Tavernier, but, he's not (officially) a winger and is his crossing blows hot and cold...

I haven't yet seen any wingers being rumoured but I do believe that the vast majority of players linked by the media are made up because PC is doing well at playing cards close to his chest

  12. If the news about Jack is true, there is no way it would be announced 'officially' before the end of the season.. Think of the reaction of the Aberdeen fans towards Mr. Jack and the club if their captain and one of their best players had agreed a move, for free, to their favourite team to hate... In my oppinion, If the signing has been made, it won't be announced until after the cup final

  13. I think many of us have had enough of the apparent attitude problems with certain members of our squad. I'm just glad we have someone who appears to be tackling this issue. Rangers is a club that needs winners. Even if we don't win, I want to see the players with the desire to win. I must admit that I don't like to see the players enjoying themselves after a defeat, and it sends out the wrong message, as well as being a symptom of a losing mentality. That's why I was happy to see certain players told they can go, assuming the rumours are correct.

I also like his attitude towards the leaks. It is unforgivable, regardless of what any of the players disagree with. Anyone found to be leaking information should be out. There are no excuses and it doesn't matter how key that player is. There's no room for him at our club.

I'm looking forward to him bringing in his own players because I'm really looking forward to being able to assess his abilities as a manager. So far so good, but we can't really call nckude much about him until he's had a transfer window or two. I just hope the results go well enough for him to be around long enough for subsequent windows. If he brings in players with mental toughness similar to his own, I think we should be in a good position.

What rumours are these that you speak of?
