  1. Very true, hopefully we can make a pretty penny of some of the 'deadwood', however, I feel that may be being greedy
  2. I believe Tavernier was just suspended at the weekend so I would expect he will return to the starting line-up and Hodson will probably move to cover Wallace's absence
  3. *cough* *cough* Kris Boyd (1st time around) Couldn't agree more... I don't feel he would be expensive and would be a valuable option to have, even if just as a squad player
  4. Liverpool 2-0 Everton Burnley 1-2 Tottenham Chelsea 3-0 Crystal Palace Hull 2-2 West Ham Leicester 2-0 Stoke Man Utd 1-1 West Brom Watford 2-0 Sunderland Southampton 2-0 Bournemouth Swansea 2-0 Middlesboro Arsenal 1-2 Man City
  5. Not much quality there, I think Sam Nicholson is worth a look at. though.. On a free, its a relatively small risk for a good young Scottish player
  6. I can just see it, fast attacking from a front 3 of myself, Francisco Sandaza and Kevin Kyle, dubbed KLS scoring more goals than MSN at Barcelona
  7. Doesn't anyone think Jim Stewart could have been an easy candidate for his 'local expert'? 10 years experience of the club and all the Scottish leagues while we've passed through them won't be easy to find.....
  8. Its amazing what the need to impress a new manager can do.....
  9. Whenever I watch these sort of training videos it makes me wish i was out there doing it...
  10. Theres no way it would happen but we should have trained something completely different this week, something that Celtic would have not been prepared for and hopefully therefore, test their players ability to adapt and react. I'm probably mad, but why not try a 3-6-1. When not in possession, its a 5-4-1 as the 2 wingbacks will sit and defend. It gives a strong defensive base, with the ability to flood the midfield and strangle the game and hopefully slow down the ball forward from them, the wing backs then give the ability to hit them on the counter. 3 central defenders means one can sweep up through balls to their pacy players who will try and run in behind. One sitting. midfielder, two central midfielders and an attacking midfielder to support the lone striker. It definitely wouldn't be pretty, but it would get the Celtic fans on their teams back as they'll be expecting a whipping and then hopefully the players could take advantage of that
  11. I would guess this is one of a few reasons why the compensation fee seems relatively large for a man with 45 days left on his contract, we're effectively paying compensation for 4 people....
  12. “I know your dentist uses scaffolding but hold on a minute Chris.”
  13. Maybe it's Weiss, and he's talking about somebody at al gharafa
  14. Precisely, more than likely he would have been told to say that for purposes of raising the profile of a partner club(Celtic) in the country(Mexico)
  15. For somebody who earned so much money while managing us, also unemployed at the time, it seems slight ridiculous that he couldn't either postpone his trip abroad, or if not that, at the very least, make a quick trip back to place his vote. I find it hard to understand if he loves Rangers as much as he professes, why he couldn't make that little effort.....
  16. Can't find anything that I disagree with in that
  17. What worries me, and why i do really feel for Murty, is that this whole experience could have a whole host of other knock effects, such as... - Put him off wanting to be a manager in the future (you never know, he could develop a decent ability for it) - Lose him respect from younger players who look at the situation and think "He's not winning games, even with the senior players" - Lose him respect from senior players Thats just off the top of my head at the moment, i'm sure people could think of other issues
  18. Here's a couple of lines from an interview he did... Frank de Boer reveals the chaos at Inter with Mauro Icardi and Marcelo Brozovic got too much for him. “We had three months, but honestly it felt like a year.” The former Ajax Coach was drafted in to replace Roberto Mancini just two weeks before the Serie A season kicked off and was fired 85 days later. “Leaving Ajax after 25 years as player, coach and manager was hard, but sometimes you are saying the same things, you need a new challenge, like Pep Guardiola,” De Boer told the Daily Mail. “But at Inter I had to deal with so many things away from football, you lose energy. “Every time you thought, ‘Finally, a good result, everything has calmed down,’ then comes Mauro Icardi's book or Marcelo Brozovic is in the discotheque and you have to punish him. “We only had three months but honestly, it felt like a year.” Inter were fined on Wednesday for Icardi’s autobiography, as it included threats to bring criminals over from Argentina to attack ultras. Brozovic was dropped for a couple of weeks, but the club never revealed why De Boer had taken disciplinary action – evidently the Croatia international had been out partying into the early hours. “Attractive football and dominating in the opposition half, winning the ball back as quickly as possible. This is what I stand for,” continued De Boer. “Discipline is everything, but it's about knowing when. One player at Ajax, Mounir El Hamdaoui, he stayed in the toilet for 10 minutes at half-time then gave me the big mouth. You think, 'If I don't do something here, they're going to play with my balls'. “That was it, 'Okay, you're off'. You either win the group or lose it. They need to respect you.”
