Im not a fan of this long ball game we seem to have, I'm really confused by what Beale is doing, not only on the pitch, but his use of our financial resources is worrying me. Celtic's defence looks shocking, we should be scoring at least.

He's been caught out a number of times already though and we are only 20 mins into the match.

We are just completely rubbish at keeping possession. Also, Sterling is scaring me. Desserd and Matondo linked up well for the chalked off goal.

Im pissed off with that team. 3 new players out of the 9 we've signed and one of them is only playing due to Borna's injury. It's hard not to feel that a lot of money has been pissed up the wall. I called it earlier as I initially thought we would only have 2 new starters playing, and then corrected myself due to the injury. What's the point in signing these players if they aren't better than what we already have?

My post was tongue in cheek, but also was made to point out the ridiculousness of the argument. In the past few years, whilst we are at a bit of a low, we've signed Croatian, Scottish, Turkish, Welsh, Swedish, Swiss and more national team players, we aren't some barren wasteland. We made the Europa League final, it's daft to suggest we don't have the pull of the likes of PSV. You could argue that over the last few years we had more of a pull, after all we have had a decent recent track record against PSV until this season. The reality is that PSV have come from further behind than us and overtaken us in the space of a year.

We bought Arthur Numan from PSV, which means we must be a more attractive option. Numan proves that.

C'mon mate, why be so pedantic? Do you really not get the point he is making regarding the use of our resources vs PSV? If the figures are true then PSV have managed their finances in a much better way than us, and they also haven't needed to bed in their new players.

I don't want to be too harsh on the new guys but I really don't understand what we've scouted with these forwards. That's a number of times now where we've had a fantastic ball into the box and Dessers is no where to be seen. That is his main job, to be in position when it matters, and he so often isn't. I won't say I'm missing Morelos because I think he did a disservice to himself and to us for a very long period of time. But Colak and Sakala were more dangerous than what we have now. We've paid out a large sum for Danilo and it's fair to say he is the one I've held out most hope for, but he doesn't seem to be in Beale's plans for a start? What gives? Sima, incredible goal aside, has just looked awful, really dire. The less said about Lammers the better, never has the quality of a signing been so predictable by viewing his stats. Then we have Cifuentes and Dowell both struggling to make an impact. Sure they do need time, but also we don't have time to give them. The only signing so far that I can say has been good is Butland, who has been extremely impressive.

I’m very concerned that we seem to have sold an effective, if a little blunt, striker and replaced him with 3 strikers who seem unable to do much at all. Sure, it’s early days but I’m still wondering what Dessers does that is so great, and I have no idea what the attraction of Lammers was.

Matondo could definitely be a great player for us. Im just going to say, after seeing this collapse I'm remembering how much I hated the group stage games last season, the silver lining is that we hopefully won't have to witness that. This team is not ready for the CL.

I'd take off Raskin and bring on Jack. I think other changes can wait, Jack may be able to help strengthen the midfield.

Raskin has been terrible and I remain unconvinced by Dessers. Going to need huge character here but we've done it before.
