I suppose he is just being honest, but basically accepting Celtic will dominate for the next few years won’t sell season tickets. There is no new money coming in. Posters & threads continuing to insist this based on nothing should be chopped.

Stevie G must actually be insane if he thinks he can beat Celtic while spending half their wage budget. Does he actually think he will get the Liverpool top job after finishing 2nd in the SPL 3 years in a row? Nobody south of the border would be impressed by that.

Doesnt explain why Paul Murray left though, but worrying that King never even spoke to him or expected his resignation. Or maybe it’s good news, no doubt the next ITK (ie complete fabrication) poster will be claiming he left to join a new takeover bid by Sheik Monsour..

Money is not the only thing we need to compete with them.  We have to spend the money we have wisely.  they have a huge number of players costing a lot of money contributing very little if anything.  Rodgers has an expensive taste in loan players, they have spent around £15m on the loans of Roberts and Masonda alone.  For very little return.  We can do better than that by looking at players a little more thoroughly, scouting better.

Also the fault lines in their team are the same as when Rodgers took over.  They are weak at RB, CH and lack a quality creative midfielder.  Same as they were with Ronny.  Rodgers transfer record at his other teams is patchy at best.

We can compete if we get the right players in.  Don't need their budget to do it.

  2. After we went a goal down we started to feel sorry for ourselves due to the circumstances of the penalty award.  We had no leader on the park to boot us up the backside and overcome the setback, we had to wait until half time.  Says a lot about the mentality of the team.

That said we were the better team.  Doubt they would score without that penalty award.

Rangers Transfer News: Pedro Caixinha confirms plans to poach Aberdeen star and Alves

When reports emerged last month that Rangers were monitoring Jack, Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes was furious. But since then it has emerged that MLS outfit Columbus Crew are keen to take the 25-year-old to the United States.

Jack is out of contract at Pittodrie in the summer and he has given no indication that he wants to stay.Caixinha is striving to strengthen his squad ahead of next season and believes Jack could provide the defensive midfield cover his side currently lacks.

The Portuguese said: “I assess a lot of Scottish players, at least those who play against us.

“Jack has not played for the last two matches – if I am not wrong – and maybe he won’t play against us on Wednesday. But because of his age, his quality and what he has done in the last two seasons, he is a player I like.*

“There are maybe six or seven more like Jack that we assessed.“He is a good player. Young and Scottish.“I like his consistency, although he has missed a few games recently. I like his leadership as captain at a young age.

“I like the way he sees the game and gives the out ball in the build-up. He gives a balance to the team when it’s attacking.”

Caixinha is also impressed by Jack’s physical presence in midfield.

“He has aggression, especially at moments when you need balance,” said the Rangers manager. “Players can be released in attack when they know others are giving them cover. We have struggled with that, definitely.“For example, the last goal we conceded against Hearts came from a poor line of cover.”

Caixinha also wants Portuguese Euro 2016 winner Bruno Alves, who admitted he was flattered to be linked with the Ibrox outfit.

Think Jack would be better than anything we have and can still improve as a player. Wish Pedro would not talk about targets until they were signed. Says too much to the press for my liking
