  1. IMO there were several players who had moments of significance, none more so than our Captain. For the rest Lundstram, Sima, Dessers, Goldson and Cantwell come to mind but I thought two players stood out for their consistent contribution throughout the match - Balogun and Sterling. I thought they were both magnificent from start to finish. Leon Balogun in particular epitomised the new spirit running through the team. I can't remember him losing an aerial duel or being out of position when defending. He made forward runs and his passing was simple and effective. Although he didn't score, he had several attempts on goal with both head and feet and at times it seemed he was everywhere. He returned to the club with howls of disappointment ringing in his ears from fans convinced it was a backward step for Rangers .... turns out it was one of the few things Beale got right. Given his age he won't be here for long but he's now a clear first choice in central defence and embodies everything about the positivity and determination I want to see from a Rangers player in that position.
  2. Every broadcast should have a commentator-free option.
  3. I think what's really being said about these performances is that neither game saw us play the best possible football, perhaps not even the best football that the current players are capable of .... but, in Seville and at Hampden park, we did perform sufficiently well to win both games and that above all else is a major achievement at this stage in our recovery. We could have played much better in both games and achieved nothing. I've had more than enough of that shit. Winning is the thing and everything else comes second. Every victory is a great performance.
  4. Rangers 2 St Johnstone0 FGS: Sima
  5. Leon Balogun for me
  6. You are 100% correct. As always it's a journey but the last week has at least persuaded me we've taken some big strides in the right direction. And brother does it feel good tonight.
  7. Yes, bloody fullbacks eh?😂
  8. I don't know what Connor Goldson's heart condition or defect was but, looking at the number of games he's played in his time at Rangers, it certainly hasn't held him back. Over the piece he's been a wonderful signing.
  9. The problem is NOT Twitter. I can still post twitter items. The problem is at Ian's end and he can fix it in 5 minutes.
  10. Does anyone know if the final is being broadcast by RTV ..... or will it have to be a Viaplay ppv subscription?
  11. How quickly it changes
  12. Delete your twitter app and download it again
  13. I reported that problem in September but got no response. I eventually fixed it by re-installing twitter.
  14. The nature of his emergence reminds me of when Calvin Bassey first got his chance. Sterling was lost in the shadows for months but when given his chance it very quickly became clear he has something substantial to offer. His ball control and passing are good but it's his physicality and positivity that catches my eye. If he can bring this to a midfield role then you have to question whether his future is as a fullback.
  15. Roofe doesn’t need to play 90 minutes but he certainly needs to start
  16. Ahead of Roofe?
  17. Rangers 3 Aberdeen 1 FGS - Sima
  18. Lundstram, Butland, Sima ... all MOTM contenders but for me the influence of Dujon Sterling in midfield when he came on was pivotal to the result, so he gets my vote
  19. I hope beating Celtic will send us to the top of the league
  20. In the end the defence WAS good enough. That result has to be the best surprise this season. Sick as parrots in the east end of Glasgow.
  21. If you’re going to keep on leaving someone unmarked at the back post then you either need to accept you will lose lots of avoidable goals or you need to get a fullback who knows what he’s doing. Both of the goals conceded and another 3 or 4 crosses that should have been converted merely remind us of a defensive weakness that has dogged us for years.
  22. It’s the same old story. Tavernier drawn inside for no obvious reason, leaving an attacker free at our back post. Seen it hundreds of times and it’s cost us so many goals.
