  1. Is it the case Club1872 is struggling to attract sufficient donations to meet its share placement obligations? On another point raised above, I suggest the reason Hearts are apparently more successful at raising supporter funds is that their organisation isn’t carrying on its shoulders the tainted history of the old Rangers Supporters Trust which, like it or not, is still a source of discouragement for many.
  2. I remember being at the game against England just before the Squad set off for Argentina. We lost but what an atmosphere that day!
  3. I was devastated to learn Tunisia had dropped Bilel Mosni from their world cup squad. That's 50% of the entertainment value gone in one crazy decision.
  4. Well, seven years, one of which was our meltdown season and another four of which we weren’t even in the same league. ?
  5. I believe every four games counts as a Munro ?‍♂️
  6. I was in CD05 for a couple of seasons but the club's refusal to install oxygen stations on those stairways forced a move to lower altitudes. Get in training now!
  7. The problem is that, unless you have an idea whether and for what price Morelos goes, you don't know what quality of striker to go for. If you aim high and Morelos stays or forces a move at a lower value then you're in financial peril. If you aim low and Morelos goes for a high value, you've burdened the club with another lower-than-necessary quality of player.
  8. I think we're stuck with him unless he chooses to leave. There are laws governing the treatment of addicts and, as his employer, we will be obliged to provide counselling and therapy before even thinking about getting rid.
  9. There has to be every chance Morelos will be playing elsewhere come August.
  10. I'm not just against the music. It's the eardrum-rupturing crowd-suppressing volume that pisses me off. It's a football match ffs, Let the fans make the noise again. Much is always made of the lack of atmosphere at games ... which was the express reason loud music was brought in in the first place. Some of us remember a time before that when there was a real build up before kickoff, when fans were allowed to decide for themselves what would be sung. Not the limp dick performance with the flags and endless replaying of the same pathetic song.
  11. The number of draws in the league that season was amazing. Must be a record.
  12. I wouldn't be surprised if some enterprising bear doesn't import a few hundred and makes £30 on each one.
  13. One thing that would really improve the Ibrox match day experience for me would be if we dropped the incessant ear-splitting music. High volume music started back in the 1980s? ago to prevent rival fans indulging in aggressive chanting at each other during a period of routine football violence and is largely irrelevant in today's Ibrox, especially now that visiting fan numbers have been curtailed. I would however like to be able to chat to my companions without shouting to be heard. We also used to put fans behind barriers until various disasters persuaded the authorities it was a bad idea. Times have changed and we should too. Either play the Sash and TBB or lose the deafening music Rangers.
  14. MacLennan may well be gone this week. He has too much else to lose to want to be the focus of close scrutiny. He'll go amid media claims of a flagrant and unjustified witch hunt.
  15. And I guess further match day ticket sales would add another £1m, plus hospitality income of (guesstimate) £2m. I've no idea what match day sales (programmes, catering) amounts to but that total before sponsorships, merchandising and RangersTV must be about £20m. Maybe someone can fine tune this?
  16. Does anyone have an idea what the approx income would be from 48,000 season ticket sales?
  17. Nothing to do with Rangers but it wouldn't disappoint me if Tav turned up next season with no ears.
