  1. Trainer compliments the board of directors perfectly.
  2. Please don't go down that road or sure as hell we'll end up with Kenny Miller
  3. Agree completely. This is far more important than continuing to dissect the character of the Aberdeen manager.
  4. Six weeks without a manager. Six weeks and still no prospect in sight of finding one. Everything I ever feared about the calibre of people running our club has now been confirmed. This is simply outrageous. We can forget for the foreseeable future any hope of becoming again the club we once were. There are probably still years in the wilderness ahead of us and that's a sickening prospect.
  5. The problem isn't Derek McInnes. It never was. The problem is Rangers drifting without a manager, the apparent lack of credible candidates and a board that seems to take forever to get precisely nowhere. If he isn't joining Rangers, I don't give a shit about Derek McInnes. I do care about the endless mire of incompetence that seems to prevent us ever climbing out of this mess.
  6. With the greatest respect, in terms of what's best for Rangers, it doesn't really matter what you or I think of individual candidates. Which is probably a good thing given how often I call things completely wrong. Most of our opinions are formed at too great a distance from the facts to carry much weight and I'm sure as hell short on clairvoyance these days.
  7. It could be that McInnes wasn't the board's first (or even second) choice. It may be they turned to him when other candidates became unachievable. If so, we're likely now to hear the barrel being scraped and can look forward to some spectacular uninspiring news. Or the board could be about to prove McInnes was merely a clever diversion and appoint Jose Mourinho tomorrow.
  8. If you're celebrating the end of McInnes then you clearly haven't considered just how bad an appointment may have to be made. Discounting the usual fantasies and wet dreams about managers we can't afford or who wouldn't dream of taking a step down to our level, the list of possibilities tends to make McInnes look like a missed opportunity. Rather than drool over the impossible, I'd prefer to see Murty get the job, if only to keep some of the crazier names at bay.
  9. Do you mean gender neutral teams to match our pretty laces?
  10. I prefer to look on it as an opportunity to rest a valuable player while allowing the squad to be rotated and selection options to be evaluated. The only losers in this affair are Scottish referees.
  11. Now that it’s obvious to the most stupid sheep on the flock that McInnes want to go to Rangers, there’s no way Milne can defend trying to keep him. It’s now just about being seen to take a hard line with Rangers. It will be a surprise if we aren’t welcoming a new manager today or tomorrow. There are never any guarantees of success of course but I’m relaxed and happy with this appointment. It will be so good to welcome a new manager who completely understands what Rangers is about.
  12. And aerial pigs might fill the sky while hell freezes over.
  13. Out of interest, if they cleaned up the lyrics but kept the meaning and intent of those songs, would you still feel embarrassed?
  14. Difficult choice but Tavernier for me.
  15. I'm uncomfortable with gambling being promoted or facilitated. Like alcohol and recreational drugs, it is a basis of addiction for some, with often catastrophic effects on families and communities. If people want to gamble then fine but I'm not sure it should be given a platform to publicise itself, whether on football tops, tv or Gersnet. Just my point of view.
  16. Deny the obvious at all costs ... the truth might be upsetting to those striving to find a sanitised reality.
  17. If we don't show our appreciation when a player turns around his previous poor form and consistently shows major improvement ... then when should we do it. I couldn't be more pleased for Josh Windass and thank him for his commitment.
  18. Murty till the end of the season? Can't believe Rangers made an approach without first knowing the answer would be yes. Don't we have any back channels?
  19. If it's taken us five weeks to reach a dead end with Aberdeen then God help us. Hopefully this is just last minute posturing by Stewart Milne.
  20. Ain't that the truth. Conformity and virtue signalling is everything.
  21. When I see the ongoing efforts to sanitise virtually everything in life, I wonder how the hell my father's generation ever managed to win an honourable war, create the NHS, etc before we saw the light about f**king the pontiff or created identity politics to allow someone to swing their penis in a young girls changing room. The moral - for all our new-found conventions on right and wrong, we've achieved a great deal less morality than we think we have. What we have done is become obsessed by an endless list of trivia, such as who sings what at a football match.
  22. Or maybe they've got nothing to do with your Rangers ... because they have a great deal to do with my Rangers.
