Lawrence and Dessers are quite similar in that they do some stuff okay but overall, I just don't think they're what's required in their respective positions, particularly the way Clement sets the team up.

It's widely thought that Haaland isn't a very good all-round footballer. He scores goals, that's it. He's also City's sole striker.

Man City get away with Haaland playing similarly because they have outstanding players around him. We don't have that. Lawrence, Wright and McCausland were the players supporting him last night and none of them are good enough (although I have hope for McCausland).

I've went for Jefte. In his short time on the park, he caused Kiev more problems than anyone else. I hope Clement is now considering him as a wide forward, rather than a left back.

Strikers aren't likely to cost many goals and full-backs aren't likely to score many, so that's a strange method of comparison. Ridvan is also a few years younger than Dessers, so there's time for him to improve.

We've watched him for a full season. Is that not a reasonable timescale to judge a player's worth or ability? He's not a youngster.

He's the only fit striker we have, which isn't funny. He's the only striker I've ever seen who, when in a one on one situation with a goalie, I'm absolutely certain won't score.
