I think we need to accept that a lot of matches Rangers play in will be quite boring, regardless of who the manager is. It's very difficult to play exciting football when the opposition stick 10 or 11 men in defence.

Not sure Rangers can force Gerrard's wife to say yes to him working in Glasgow or force Ancelotti's contractual obligations to disappear at the best of times, never mind when we're in the midst of a takeover. Very difficult to just speed a takeover up. These things take time and we've been told it'll be late May/June before it's done, so getting into a tizzy now is a sign of impatience. As for the new manager, it might not be fully possible just now for any number of reasons, particularly ongoing contracts and the takeover itself.

From another perspective, the 2024/25 season technically isn't over yet and we only relieved Ferguson of his managerial duties four days ago.
