That looks suspiciously like a sectarian pallet truck! ?

I can't see them moving it. I enjoy matches there, it's a good old-fashioned ground in the centre of town.
  3. As a Leave voter who was already apathetic towards general elections, the Brexit shambles has done a really good job of confirming my worst fears about British democracy. Maybe that was the intention all along. A disinterested public is handy for career politicians and bureaucrats at all levels.
  4. Morelos looked a class above everyone else on the pitch when he came on. If he can maintain that sort of standard, I can see a lot of clubs showning an interest. We were poor today, lacking intensity and creativity. I wasn't happy when we re-signed Lafferty and he has done little to prove me wrong. We need a dominant central midfielder and an attacking midfielder. Glad to get the win today. A big week ahead...
  5. I couldn't care less what Lawwell or Chris Sutton say. They're nothing but a pair of attention seeking twats. Let's just focus on Rangers.
  6. And I had you down as a regular frequentor of the many gin bars that have recently sprung up, Scott7. The Spider's Web in Edinburgh (where the Union Jack bus used to pick up) is now a gin bar called the Jolly Botanist. I preferred it the way it was (rough and ready and reasonably priced). Oh well.
  7. We saw after the match at the Mel Tagliatelle stadium that quite a few of their players enjoy nothing more than beating Rangers. My advice would be to go all out attack - we have better players than them and timidity has done us no favours this season. I'd like to see us start with Grezda and Middleton again. We have a big few weeks ahead and a good start is important. 'Mon The Rangers!
  8. The majority of British people want to leave the EU. The majority of British MPs want to remain in the EU. I didn't expect us to properly leave the EU but the shambolic efforts to please all are nevertheless quite depressing. Strong and stable? More like soft and insecure.

    HMRC

Maybe I should identify as living in England, to get a lower rate. I mean, obviously there is verifiable evidence that I live and work in Scotland but that's not how I identify just now. ?

    HMRC

The tax credits all go into the wife's account, so I haven't seen a penny of them. No doubt I will have to pay up. Although, at the moment, I'm thinking more about all the benefit scroungers than hospitals and schools.

    HMRC

I received a letter today, saying I'm due them just over £1k in relation to overpaid tax credits (I'm on PAYE). Anyone else get one?
  12. I was moaning about a Happy Thanksgiving sign at my work today. What a load of codswallop. We are Americanised enough.
  13. King Billy was largely responsible for introducing gin to Britain. It's a bit poncy nowadays but what the heck, why not!?
  14. Judging by the nick of most yahoos, soap and toothpaste would see them scatter too.
  15. I turned on Sky Sports News last night to check the Scotland score. I saw three yahoo players celebrating a goal and heard Lee McCulloch mention the Tartan Army and immediately turned it off. Thankfully, we don't have to put up with international football for a few months. Tartan Army....*cringe
  16. I hope they do take their allocation because I've already bought and paid for three exocet missiles to lob at them.
  17. The case against the lady in question was flimsy at best. Diversity seemengly hasn't taken off in Pakistan, given the rather intense protests against her release. Here in the UK, Christian bakers had to endure a lengthy court process in order to avoid being punished for their refusal to make a cake that contradicted their religious beliefs. All very odd.
  18. Both have a very flexible tendency and prefer to go where they can gain votes rather than doing what they believe is right.
  19. Considering the hodge podge the government are making of Brexit, you'd think support for Scottish independence would be in the ascendancy. That it isn't tells its own story about the calibre of the current Scottish government.
  20. Boris Johnson is similar to Trump. He is a hate figure for progressive liberals. In truth, the two of them are quite easy to criticise for just reasons. But the progressive liberals focus on the more cartoonish aspects of their actions, for some bizarre reason. Why focus on them filling their own coffers when you can focus on a daft comment about groping or burkas? Sadiq Khan is very much a modern politician. He says all the right things but never gets anything right. He's a hot air balloon.
  21. Sky have ruined football. BBC Scotland ignore a large section of Scottish football's fan base (ie us). "Bollocks" is about the nicest response I can muster.
  22. Journalism is going the same way as the music industry. At the end of the day, future generations won't read newspapers. They'll get all their information online and that information will be fragmented and/or polarised. Not really a good thing but that's undoubtedly the way things are going.
  23. Always nice to hear about ex players who retain a place for Rangers in their hearts. Papac was ever dependable and seems to be fondly remembered by us all. Hopefully he can do us a (scouting) favour at some point.
  24. I'm not sure that inappropriately touching a woman warrants a prison sentence. I'm not sure this incident warrants a thread on here either. Gascoigne left the club over two decades ago and his troubles are well documented.
