I'm delighted for the lad , just the sort of youngster we badly need .

Anyone even thinking about giving the board any money needs their head examined .

A lot of decent , honest bears doing the best they can for the club they love ; but they are misguided I'm sorry to say . We'll never be rid of these parasites and fat cats if we keep feeding them and the forthcoming share issue will only keep the lights on to the new year - what then ? another dilution , more fund raising just to keep the fans holding at 5% or whatever ? .
No , stop dancing to the board's tune . Give them nothing and starve them out . Going all out to raise £100k ? what's Wallace's bonus again ? .

wonder how merlin will spin this latest revelation , coming soon after he supported the soros fantasy .

You just begin to wonder where the next body blow is coming from and where this will all end . Utterly disgraceful .

It may be that 15m new shares take a certain group of shareholders over the 75% threshold needed to disapply the pre-emptive rights and also be enough to enable the sale and/or sale and leaseback of Ibrox itself.
That's where this is heading I have no doubt .

Terribly sad news . He will be missed .

I thought Soros was Jewish too , anyway there`s as much chance of him buying in as there is Lord Lucan riding to the rescue on Shergar .

He certainly should have taken the mic off and walked out .

A fine gesture .

The UK is a changed place these days.
A disturbing change that has been gradual but steady.
Yes , terribly sad to say but true .

If their transfer budget wouldn`t keep the ginger bigot at the piggery why would it attract mon , larshole , moyes etc. ? no chance .

If only the board would put together a meeting of this size (or bigger) at Ibrox and actually show that they really are "ready to listen" to the fans, but if they did set something up it would most likely just be a PR stunt with a pointless, stage-managed Q&A rather than any meaningful dialogue between the board and the fans.
It suits them very well to have fans at each others throats , in fact a smart PR guy would make it his business to continually stir the pot and sow discord - divide and conquer . Does this sound familiar to anyone ? .

Laxey IMO mate, yes ??
No , octopus investments/ticketus .
0 -
If they did do it then they've lost even more money being involved with us.
Not when they control assets worth far in excess of the cw/ticketus deal . You could even argue they are sitting pretty with a divided fanbase and able to hire and fire at will ; being who they are I doubt if another administration event would faze them either .

Anyone pondering how much cash it will take to be rid of the board needs to remember how much cw "diddled" out of Ticketus . I`ve taken stick for saying that before as there`s currently no proof but I maintain when the dust has settled it will be shown who was really behind the board .

Merlin now putting it about that King got his money back from Rangers.
'One of those versions is that King received all or a substantial part of that money back, although it does not to my knowledge exist as a transaction in Rangers’ books, though others may know better.
Of course, the argument flares up every now and then with fans adamant that King didn’t get a penny of his £20 million investment back while others claim he did. This article from November 2008 contains a very interesting reference to King having received a payment of R200 million from Rangers Football Club (roughly about £11 million). So it raises the obvious question: Did Dave King receive money back on his investment in Rangers and how much? What form did that investment take would be another question fans could ask.'
Who needs timmy when merlin is about.
Worse than a tim , he`s an Uncle Tom

I was going to tweet the lass in question and ask if she felt a bit silly now the focus of her devotion had destroyed the sectarian line himself; but to be honest these people are far, far beyond any sort of reason.
Yep waste of time trying to argue with a bugger like that .

Something that's slightly puzzling is why Mr Zeus Capital didn't dump his free shares back in the summer when Green & Ahmad were selling off their free shares? Why would he sit on them for so long and then dump them at a price much lower then the lowest ever price for the shares?
I`ve been wondering about this too and can`t come up with a satisfactory answer . I suspect (well , I`m sure) there is a lot going on behind the scenes that we can only speculate about . Of course he would hold onto them until after the AGM vote to make sure it went their way is one reason , also there has to be a buyer in place for him to sell is another , but there will be more to it than that .

Even at that price, it would be money thrown away, given the incumbents. I realise a football club is not a money making exercise but this lot have been beyond parody. No investor in their right mind would buy shares in Rangers, not even at that price, as long as the people making the decisions remain the current lot.
Which makes me all the more suspicious of why Laxey, BPH et al continued to back them at the AGM. They must have known it would make their investment shakier, not stronger; how could anyone review the previous 12-24 months and say, yep. I think we'll start to see an increase in share price and a decent return for us if we stick with the board?
Once again, I'm stuck at any explanation other than Timothy's fell hand operating behind the scenes to cause maximum damage for maximum time. As Conan Doyle has Holmes say, one you have eliminated all other possibilities, what remains, no matter how implausible, must be the truth. My lunacy is not yet beyond the point where I cannot see how mad that sounds, but jeez...someone give me a sane alternative as to why the people controlling the club are apparently acting to drive it into the ground?
Without a white knight to come in and pay to make them go away , I think sale and leaseback has been the endgame for them all along - " tough decision , had to be done , safeguards the club for future generations , blah blah blah " . It`s what happens when the board are only interested in extracting maximum value for the major shareholders and couldn`t give a toss about anything else - run the club into the ground until there`s no option but cash in the assets .

Fair point, Craig; but why else would your sell at 24p unless you bought at 1p?
Agreed , unless maybe if you knew what price the new shares would be offered at and it was substantially less than 24p ? .
