  1. You're just a blowhard. You're preaching at people to 'do something about it' but wouldn't do it yourself about anything you criticise yourself.

Stop the self righteous sanctimony and give respect to those who offer criticism.

You really don't do irony, do you?

I'll repeat, what are YOU doing about anything apart from whining online ?

Nothing wrong with criticism. But only if it's constructive.

I'll leave the stage [again] to you to give an answer.

  2. Why, why does it? Because you say so? Perhaps you've tapped into difinitive wisdom? Like your friends running the RST?

Can't hang around, I need to set up an alternative Labour Party, Catholic Church, Celtic Football Club, News International, etc, etc ..........

I note you didn't quote the second part of my post.

    'Nuff said.

  3. What a dreary tale. I note your advice but fail to understand why you're concerning yourself with what I think of the RST, no one forces you to read these posts and you're unlikely to change any opinions. I've absolutely no interest in what you would or wouldn't do with respect to the RST and I won't be reciprocating with any advice on what you should do. If you're happy with the way the RST is being run or what it has achieved then you're easily pleased.

And yet again you post absolutely nothing constructive.

The difference between us is, I may be happy with the RST [maybe not] and you're obviously not. But I don't come onto forums every day crowing about how delighted I am. You seem to take great pleasure in going on and on posting about something you have no active concern with.

  4. So what you're saying is if anyone has criticism of anything in life, they are obliged to personally change it?

Makes more sense than standing at a distance and greeting about it does it not ?

How about YOU answering the questions I asked above ?

  5. Here's an idea. How about the RST learn to take criticism and don't behave like children.

Oh and how can you challenge anyone to start their own organisation? RST previous actions in light of things like Setting the Standard show that the RST are more interested in their own advancement than that of the club. The RST would not welcome another group who are trying to better Rangers, they would see a new group as the "enemy" and attack them and aim to bring them down.

Yup............and absolutely nobody has a 'go' at the RST.

If everybody I've read attacking the RST online joined an alternative group there would be no point in the RST existing.

I'll ask you [and anybody else here griping], are you a member of the RST ? When did you last personally attend a meeting ?

If you're not happy with them, what are you gonna do apart from sitting in front of a monitor sniping from afar ?

    I await your answers.

  6. I don't see anyone griping about the RST. I do see a great deal of dissatisfaction with the performance of the RST and those who run it.

The fact is that the RST isn't the current cabal who all-but-hijacked it and then didn't know what to do with it, nor does it belong to them. We don't need another organisation, the RST will do us just fine. What we need is to extracate the RST from the loony brigade who have barricaded themselves into it.

There is no practical way to change the RST from within and the fact is that the RST DOES only speak for a few hundred. It's a completely unsatisfactory situation and your oblique defence of it helps no one, least of all the RST. Or are you actually claiming the current RST board are somehow worthy of your support?

MF............you do nothing BUT moan about the RST.

And yes. I see no reason not to support the current Board. If I didn't, rather than go on the internet to whine about it unlike most others [who are the main complainers online] I'd take the time and trouble to attend their meetings, put my view across and try to change things.

  7. I'm sure those who resigned en masse from the RST board a couple of years ago have thought about it, but come to the conclusion that it would be divisive or confusing to have yet another organisation representing Rangers fans and that would probably do more harm than good.

So maybe the RST should first dissolve and then we can see if someone else can do better in their place? IS THAT WHAT YOU'RE REALLY SAYING ? I'd rejoin just to vote for that to be honest... :fish:

I don't know where you implied that from my post bud.

Still, the wee fishing smiley is there.

  8. I don't want any fan organisations tbh. I think these kind of groups are more obsessed with internal politics, and their rhetoric regarding the club is no more wise than anything folk on forums like these can say. Usually far less. I mean their embarrassing 'we deserve better' campaign (which went very quiet when things improved) amounted to nothing more than threads on forums.

I don't gripe about the RST, I just can't be doing with egotistical organisations like them.

Aye Danny. Maybe Murray will come back and you can bend over and take some more.

  9. Just read through this thread.

"The RST speak for only a small percentage of the fanbase."

"Edgar is schmoozing with the Press."

"Hard to change the RST from within."

A wee idea................ rather than constantly gripe about the RST, start your own organisation and see if you can do better ?

  10. Anyone listen to it?

    Yup.

He didn't have much to say. He HOPES Boyd will accept his contract and an offer for the Club [if true] is 'a good thing' as both sides can now sit down and see how far apart they are.

  11. Wait till the fat lady sings , big Eck always did well first couple of seasons then the WHEELS CAME OFF THE BOGEY , it's a wee bit early to be annointing a new king

Or as my Dad used to put it...........THE @RSE FELL OUT THE CHANTY.

  12. Season ticket income is hugely important to the club so of course inferring tens of thousands of people won't renew could affect the decision-making from those who make them.

However it is also a very dangerous ploy which could makes things worse instead of better. Remove 20,000 x £500 from our income then the savings have to come from elsewhere as SDM or Lloyds won't absorb the loss. Given we've still to see anyone step forward and say they will underwrite any debt we have in order to buy the club then that means we'd be in serious trouble.

That is probably why fans who are otherwise concerned and frustrated about certain issues wouldn't go as far as removing their financial commitment to the club.

Maybe I'm a glass-half-full guy Frankie, but I'd prefer to believe [and have done for several years now] that only half the season tickets being sold would force Murray to drop his asking price. The banks I'm certain, would take the same approach.

A half empty Ibrox with regular protests would, I'm positive, force a change in thinking from the bean-counters.

This is not to take away from the good domestic season we're having. The scenario of our best players being sold YET AGAIN is what's really worrying me..................because this time around, I fear we might not recover from it.

  13. One minute they want to buy the club or consider multiple x 17 options, now they are talking of boycotts....

"A wise man speaks because he has something to say; a fool because he has to say something".

Edgar has obviously learnt nothing from past mistakes.

    http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/2010/01/06/exclusive-rangers-fans-threaten-season-ticket-boycott-if-kris-boyd-is-sold-in-transfer-window-86908-21945798/

    Reply from David Edgar..........

"The Daily Record today have a headline stating that I suggested that the sale of Kris Boyd could lead to some sort of season ticket boycott.

    I did not.

The quotes in the article are correct and I have no problem with any of them, the article or the journalist. I suggested that selling your top scorer may not be the best way of promoting sales of season tickets and may give Rangers fans cause to stop and think about their next move, but at no time did I suggest that Rangers fans would 'boycott' the club due to the sale of one player.

I didn't mention the word 'boycott' and am very surprised to read it in the headline today.

I stand by everything in the actual article, but not the headline. "

  14. And apparently that means that all your friends are calling for a boycott.......

I dare say, if Boyd and a few others are sold, they probably are. And more power to their elbows if that scenario comes to pass.

I boycotted the place for 3 years myself because of Murray selling off our best players . I've just bought a half season ticket because I truly feel Murrays days are over. [and I'm tired of hanging around the shops/house/etc at the weekend].

Same as my mates, if there's a clear out of the wrong guys, I'll not be going back.

    The car park awaits.

  15. Aye Davie. Sit back and say nothing.

Then when Boyd and a couple of others are sold off we'll hear the usual suspects on this and other Forums criticise the RST for 'sitting back and saying nothing'.

Now, I don't know how close to Ibrox or the supporters some of the blawhards on the internet are but all Edgar has pointed out is EXACTLY what my circle of friends [all Rangers fans] are saying. = If Rangers main assets are sold, they will give serious consideration to not renewing next seasons tickets.

Aye, nobody [apart from me] is buying season tickets at this moment. BUT, and I don't know if this is news to some, the first transfer window isn't in June. It's NOW.
