Holy smokes. You put dB's positivity to shame and make him look like the most negative person on the forum (which he isn't by miles).

That aside, the above just simply isn't true.  Or at least some of it.

Murphy hasn't proven anything at Rangers as yet so to say he is better than Sinclair is silly at this point.  Likewise with Martin and Cummings (indeed, this one shows just how biased you are.... Griffiths has scored regularly for Celtic, has scored for Scotland too - Cummings hasn't, as yet, played any meaningful minutes in the top flight in any country and has scored once for Notts Forest - and yet you have labelled him better than Griffiths).  And that is just a couple.

As dB says below, talk about blue-tinted glasses.

Also, for the record and seeing as you seem to be new to the forum - this forum is one of decency and respect so can you, unless you actually have proof, refrain from calling people retards or mongoloids.  Can you also refrain from the use of words such as taig.  Politically correct we may be, but that is how we run the forum.

What I said may not be true to Craig, just as what Craig says may not, as in this case, be true to me.

Secondly, Selmy made statements about the quality of Rangers players compared to Savco which were extremely negative about those Rangers' players. I strongly disagreed with them and, as a Rangers supporter, I defend Rangers players whether it's you or Selmy criticizing them, and I will do it, as I did, respectfully without resorting to personal abuse.

Since you brought up the topic of tinted specs, your post shows, like the Savco Scottish media and Selmy, a distinct shade of green.

To base your argument that those new Rangers' players are inferior to Savco players because they haven't played for Rangers is absolute rubbish.

My assessments of the new Rangers players was based on what I have seen them do on the park. You, on the other hand, argue that they are inferior to the Savco players simply because they haven't actually played for Rangers yet -  by your argument, if we signed Messi he'd be not as good as Sinclair because he hasn't played for us yet - ludicrous logic!

Making the argument that Griffiths is superior to Cummings because he has a Scotland cap is also nonsense for the simple reason that for years now Savco players have not been selected on merit but because Savco control the SFA, and their ex-manager controlled selection.

Considering that I hold personal abuse of members on forums, abuse of Rangers players and racism reprehensible, I resent your insinuation that I have been indecent and disrespectful. As far as Griffiths goes, he has exhibited acts of insanity  - such as tying a Savco scarf on a Rangers goalpost during an Old Firm game at Ibrox - which could have led to a riot and serious injury or even death, as proof of retardation. In the sixties, he would have been dead for doing that at Ibrox. Griffith's acts, comments, and his personal life are clear proofs of, using the politically correct term - the mentally challenged.

Disagreement on forums is status quo and I look forward to the battles but when an administrator wrongly accuses a member of being disrespectful and insinuates he is indecent, as you have, then it's a clear abuse of power which, if unchecked, is a place I've no interest in.

  2. I'm confident, Russell, like Clint before him, will give much needed heart and soul for the club - something I also expected from Bruno but somehow he always managed to leave them at the airport in Portugal when boarding the plane for Scotland.

    Welcome to Rangers, Martin!

Passing on Naismith will bite us on the arse. Unless he's completely finished he's twice as good as anyone we've signed this window. Kyle Lafferty is beyond useless and he's still rattled home 11 for Hearts this season, which shows the level we're playing at. I don't know what contract Naismith's on, but perhaps if he plays well he ends up back where he belongs this summer.

After the last games against the Hivs, Savco and the Sheep - the top teams in the country, we are playing at a higher than any of them.

As far as Naismith is concerned, he was my favourite player. Then, in our darkest hours, when we needed him most, the wee coward ran away, shouting the most successful club in Scotland with a world record five stars didn't exist anymore.

Now I know there's some who would say I should forgive and forget, so, ok, let's get him back to Ibrox this summer to where he belongs - cleaning the lavvies.

I'm reading Savco, media...I'm not really listening. Their performances in Europe show that they're a really poor football team yet they're as far ahead of us as they've ever been.

    Beg to differ.

Based on the last game against Savco, we're further ahead of them.

    - Gordon is not any better than Fod - even Mutton doesn't rate Gordon.

    - It's a joke how much they overrate Tiernay and, as was obvious in the scum game, Tav is a class above him.

    - Both Wallace and John are miles better than Lustig - even the Savconians consider him crap.

    - Boyata is a bombscare. Martin is better.

    - Ajer is not as good as Wilson.

    - Broon is a pig of a footballer who even the rabid taig English says gets away with the dirtiest fouls. McCrorie is better.

    - McGregor is crap and not as good as Holt.

    - Armstrong is playing awful, Jack and Dorrans are much better players.

    - Never seen Forrest have a good game against us, and he never covers for the fullback. Candeias works harder and covers for the fullback. He's better.

    - Sinclair is highly overrated, does not cover for the fullback, and shites it. Murphy is better.

    - I don't usually criticize the mentally retarded but the mongoloid Griffiths can't even get a game for them; he, like Hooper before him, is really overrated. Cummings is better.

    - Dembele is not interested in playing for Savco. He's lazy and highly overrated. Morelos is a fantastic wee player. Works his ass off, and just happens to be the top scorer in Scotland. Take him over Dembele any day.

    - Murty has managed two games against Brenda, has not lost, and should have won both.

Looks to me, Selmy, contrary to what you suggested, that none of these Savco players could get into the Rangers first team.

  5. Larkin is the latest member of a group led by Phil 3 names that I referred to as the Magobbligooks in a response to Paul McConville's attack on me in his Random Thoughts Re Scots Law blog a few years ago. The mission of the Magobbligooks, whose executive branch at the time included Alex Thomson, McConville and Phil himself, was the destruction of Rangers FC.

I explained how this was an impossible mission for the simple reason that the nature of Rangers was something that couldn't be destroyed. While always doomed in their effort to destroy Rangers, the Magobbligooks would be very successful in destroying something very unique that had taken more than a century of evolution to create.

This was part of my response to McConville:

The Old Firm was essentially a theatrical pantomime where Billy Boy and republican anthems echoed throughout the land, preventing the testosterone fuelled blue and green masses from actualizing carnage – a psychological proxy, if you will.

The following paragraph illustrates the nature of this peculiar paradoxical symbiosis of this lost horizon that was the Old Firm:

While growing up in Springburn hardly a day went by that I, or any other wain for that matter, didn’t beat up a catholic or, in the alternative, was beaten up by one; and later that same a day, I invariably, as many protestant wains did, returned home from the public park with an arm around my best pal – a catholic.

On Saturday afternoon fathers taught their sons to hate their old firm rival; and invariably, those same fathers, got pished together on the same Saturday night. and, on their way home from the pub, while calling one another a fenian and orange bastard, they supported each other until they arrived at the close where they both faced a common enemy - she who must be obeyed.

These same Old Firm supporters were also brothers in arms annually when they met another common enemy – the English.

They were the unified vociferous nucleus of the Scotland support.

Like most symbiotic relationships, though, it was fragile entity.

It didn’t take much for the magobbligooks to undermine it.

After their considerable efforts, Scotland awoke one day to hordes of predominantly Catholic Celtic supporters, Scotsmen of irish ancestry who had once considered themselves Scottish but who were now Irish..

    Many glorified ira terrorists.

Some joined their ranks to murder innocents, and others donated to the cause of terrorism.

The tricolour was no longer a prop to be waved at parkhead in the wonderful Old Firm pantomime, now it was a call to arms.

Allegiance was for the Republic of Ireland football team and not Scotland.

It was a new dawn. Scottish born players of irish descent who, unlike the Paddy Crerands, rejected the Scottish jersey for an irish Republican one.

On that same day, in response, hordes of Protestant Rangers supporters, Scotsmen who once considered themselves more Scottish than British were now more British than Scottish.

The Union Jack was no longer a prop to be waved at Ibrox in the wonderful Old Firm pantomime,

    Now it was also a call to arms;

These Scotsmen now rejoiced at the defeat of their national team.

    Many glorified the UDA.

Some joined their ranks while others donated to their cause.

While there are still some enclaves of this unique protestant/catholic relationship, as some posters on here have described, they are sadly, thanks to the Magobbligooks, only a vestige of what once was the Old firm and Scotland.

I don't think any of those players would get a game for the tims, aside from an on form Naismith, and what we'd be getting isn't an on form Naismith. I’m extremely keen to see him though, if he’s anything like the player he used to be. I think these are players that will improve us, but not the level we require to challenge for the title - or not embarrass ourselves in Europe - which is what we need. Two of those players are deemed not good enough to get a game for Norwich, which is sadly the level we seem to be at now. Cummings as well - whilst looking good at Hibs, he's just failed at Nottingham Forest. Should we not aim higher than that? It's amazing how many young, promising Scots crash and burn in England. Regardless, he's a good improvement on what we have.

If I was in charge I would be spending every available resource on our youth development, scouting and signing players 23 and under whom can hopefully turn into the next Van Dijk or Wanyama. It’s good to see that we are looking at a number of younger players, but I want to see us casting the net wider than just here and England. That of course requires the right infrastructure.

The current crop of Savco FC players are the most overrated football team in the history of football.

Savco own the mhedia, and the mhedia condition those naive enough to buy their propaganda.

It's particularly ironic that you speak of embarrassment when it is Savco, after their humiliations in their CL group games, who hold the distinction of being the laughing stock of European football.

As StuGers accurately points out, this Rangers team with good management is more than capable of challenging overrated Savco players for the title.

It's one thing to read the Daily Record, the Scotsman and listen to BBC Scotland etc etc, Selmy, and quite another to believe them.
