  1. Problem being...he takes Cardiff up, he's making mega bucks for a season or two and the chance is gone. Interestingly, his Cardiff contract expires at the end of the season. Talks have been mentioned on BBC Sport, but no substance. At 69 years old, I don't see Cardiff tying him down if he doesn't take them up this season, but they'd probably want to keep him as an option for another season. It does give us a chance, and as you say, for a season, he'd be capable of taking us forward.
  2. This deal gives a huge indication as to the progress of Robbie. As a GK, it is natural for him to take longer to get near the 1st XI, but his loan to Berwick is exactly the progress he needs and I'd hope a Championship team will take him next term, and a Premiership side after that. With Foderingham attracting interest, and Jak Alnwick a capable no. 1 in waiting, things look very good for us i this position for a few years to come. Not to mention Liam Kelly and others who've represented their country at youth levels.
  3. I do take your point, but, I'd still rather win the league this season (which is miraculously, still possible, despite how unlikely it seems) as a "victim" (as you perceive it) than be acting like Neil Lennon every time something doesn't go our way. We should be able to win every game, even despite of the odd injury or red card. Our squad, mentality and tactics need to be good enough to handle all of that. And yes, if referees are out to send off our players, make sure someone like Ryan Jack doesn't put himself in to situations where it might happen (Broadfoot incident, May incident). And If the Rangers squad is so thin that an injury to one player can leave us in a crisis, sign more 1st XI quality players. Easier said than done, perhaps, but you should always aim to improve yourself in response to events like these, as opposed to blaming others. Positive actions, versus negative actions. Yes, I sound deluded, but we all do in the Positive Psychology movement
  4. Other than Sean Dyche, I can't pick out anyone who could take us to the title next season. Neil Warnock is a joke rumour of years gone by, but he is doing a good job at Cardiff this season...
  5. I don't mean to be deliberately controversial, but I'm quite happy that Rangers are not crying over every little incident that goes against them. Historically, Rangers have always aimed to show more class and dignity than any other club, in times of success, failure or hardship. Leave playing the victim to Lennon and Lawwell.
  6. The most depressing thing about this defeat is that there was absolutely nothing Graeme Murty could do about it during the game. He had no substitutes worth using, or the know-how to counter a very effective 4-3-3 at this level. If appointing Pedro was a mistake, giving Murty this role now looks like a bigger one. I would take Steve Clarke, Mulumbu and Jordan Jones in a heartbeat.
  7. Bringing him back would merely re-add another name to the long list of players who are not (currently) psychologically able to thrive at Rangers; or play at a level that is conducive to winning!
  8. Hello Gersnet. I have been a member before but have no idea what email I was using. Moving here after struggling to find worthwhile discussion on RM or FF these days.
