He turned down Leeds, Marseille, Ajax, Barcelona and, reportedly, Man Utd.

Even if all those links are nonsense, he's still not going from winning everything at River Plate to managing in Scotland.

If he turned all of them down what club would he be holding out for, only one I can see is PSG considering he played for them

Thinking about the situation we find ourselves in, it seems inconceivable Beale will still be manager next weekend.

Despite all the silly talk about James Bisgrove, this is exclusively a task for John Bennett and the Rangers International FC board. I don't think he will continue to delay the inevitable. I can see Beale taking the team to Cyprus but no further.

I hope this is the way it happens. God knows how we get rid of the expensive imposters Beale has saddled us with.

I think a better manager will get a tune out of these players they are playing bad but they are not bad players, just look at Rabbi last season to now maybe some of them just need time and better tactics to get a rhythm going. Beale must go it is untenable the fans have turned even the more level headed ones no one has faith he can quickly turn it around, if he was at a club with less pressure I think he could turn it around but this is Rangers it must be instant wins and challenging for the title not 3 defeats in 7 he knew the score when he joined.

I voted to get rid of him but I genuinely wish he could turn it around - mainly for the sake of Rangers of course but also for his own sake. I'm sure he wants to be successful and I'm sure he's working hard to achieve success. No one should want to see him suffer on a personal level, whatever the state of the team.

However, the reason I can't change my mind about sacking him is I'm convinced he now leads a deeply divided camp and when that rot sets in at a football club there is only ever one conclusion.

Whatever anyone thinks of Beale's selection today or the way he set out his team, it should be clear to everyone the players are confused, demotivated and as close to downing tools as makes no difference. They've largely switched off and just seem to be going through the motions. The longer this is allowed to continue, the deeper the hole we will eventually have to climb out of. The players desperately need someone who can close ranks and inspire some confidence, not someone who devotes his energies talking far too much to the outside world.

Spot on, it is proud achievement to have to so few managers over 150 years. I want every manager to succeed and turn it around when we have bad spells, but beale is not getting the best out of them and I agree the rot and dissent might have been sowed after the Celtic game maybe before, and if so he will not turn it around once the players have made their minds up the manager is done unless he has outstanding youth players to fill their spots he will have to hope the players will do their job and stick by his ideas.

    I actually don't care.

I'm that depressed about the whole season.

    Four (league) games in...

kill me now barney stinson GIF

Hopefully Cantwell not being there and taking all the responsibility of doing thing's on the pitch makes those who drift though games wake up and take some of the burden. We need 11 players who view it as their responsibility to alter the game. For me Cantwell is the total opposite of what I thought he was when he arrived he has drive ability and aggression for me he is the future captain he is someone who leads by example.

Ange had only won two league titles in Australia and Japan. That doesn't sound like the "experienced winner who has won trophies" you mentioned.

Gallardo is out of our league.

I just want someone that can implement a good style of play.

Winning trophies in two different countries plus the afc with Australia is experienced in my book how many managers can say they have won titles in two countries and a continental trophy with a national team.

For Gallardo who knows if he would come or not but I was using him as an example there must be managers of similar ilk around the world, we should have a department at Rangers who look at managers around the world their style of play, man management, pressures at previous jobs, budget they have worked with, success and availability and constantly be scouring everywhere not just when we hit a major problem then we start searching.

I think this is completely unrealistic.

They got it right with Ange he had won things in his managerial career his style of football was non stop pressing for basically all of his games, how is this unrealistic. Marcelo Gallardo is a proven winner at river and his style of play employs high pressings why is this to much to ask for.

If there's a Rangers director who hasn't looked at the writing on the wall and acknowledged to need to consider candidates to replace Beale then they haven't been paying attention.

I think we should always have a list of potential replacements for managers and players and constantly keep it updated.

Should Steve Clarke be added to the list of possible replacements? Say what you want about him and / or the national team, he's doing some job.

He would not come to Rangers, he is also doing well with the national team and he would not come to a club he has a disdain for. We need an experienced winner who has won trophies and has overcome difficult spells in their career plus a good style of play that gets the fans out their seats, we need aggressive non stop pressings everything must be done with intensity.

Do you think he can turn it round, and if so, how? What changes?

No I think he is done. I would get someone in now ! I normally would give managers time to rectify poor performances but I just see Beales football as to defensive against similar level teams we need a manager who will play aggressive pressing football I don't see that enough under beale and I don't think he will change.

I wonder what Beale will say Post Match.

Edit. Actually I don't and couldn't care less.

Same old waffle about creating lots of chances and failing to take them, I wanna know why we were so passive in the first half and why we are so woeful at finishing.

Our new signings are shite, Butland aside. That is the reality. To have nearly 10m quids worth of strikers warming the bench who then come on and show how incapable they are. Awful.

I hope I’m wrong, but fuck me they haven’t provided anything positive to go on.

Spot on you can see glimpses of quality in these players but not enough quality consistently in their performances, Butland is the only one who so far who has improved the first team.

  12. We are playing narrow but they are cutting through us make it make sense, giving them so much of the ball only works if they are creating zero opportunities but that's not working, this is utter shit why have we become so defensive playing teams.
