  1. No, it isn't a fact Alan, it was a few weeks ago but we have a lot of sign ups since then. I don't know the number of people because £500 could be from one person or from four.
  2. Yes, but if I told you I'd have to kill you!! Seriously, there are a few hundred paying via the DD scheme but the majority of people have bought Community shares outright. Sorry I can't be more specific but our new webmaster is still getting his head around our site. I'll try and get the information.
  3. No it isn't. Also we raised £250K in four days, not that I'm having a go.
  4. No but I didn't look to see if it was up at half-time
  5. It was just to the left of the middle exit a few rows from the back.
  6. It was on display in the Copland Front before the game.
  7. You are wrong Greg, anyone can participate in BR. Perhaps you are thinking about the IPO where you needed an address in the UK.
  8. I think they need to have a bank account first, unless that has been done since Monday but who would the signatories be?
  9. I suspect he means the six ex-RST Board members who have been working on this for months, not you Greg.
  10. I don't recall any vote last night Greg. Perhaps it happened when I was out for a cigarette. All I remember is being told it was happening.
  11. What a coincidence. James Blair, the solicitor who was going to be acting for the RST CIC. Club 1872, which was going to be its name. When was this life membership scheme voted for? It was presented as a fait accompli last night. Taking money from people when there is no bank account or agreed constitution surely can't be right.
  12. I asked the question at the meeting rbr as it is as I suspected. The monthly 'donation' is indeed that and for this your money goes towards the collective shareholding and it gives you a vote but if you stop, for whatever reason, you get nothing back and have no more rights. Richard did say that if this happened there was 'something that could be done' but he didn't elaborate.
  13. You may be right but the word donation was used a couple of times. Perhaps someone could clarify.
  14. I think the shares are bought as a collective B, so you wouldn't get them back as far as I know but I'm not certain whether there will be a mechanism for any kind of refund.
  15. 1% is the cost of the direct debit but I suspect the op was talking about other costs such as legal, insurance, marketing, postage, stationery, website, printing etc.
  16. Point 1 is true for Buy Rangers, although that will depend on the success of the scheme. People won't get their full money back if there is a financial cost to the RST. Obviously, if everyone suddenly wanted their money back we would be unable to do it. Re Rangers First, I don't know for sure but Richard did mention the word donation a few times and there was no mention of you getting anything for your donation apart from a vote but someone would have to clarify that. Point 2 is definitely true. Point 3 - we pay all running costs from the membership fees and other fundraisers, like our annual dinner. I can only assume that the CIC will deduct running costs from the £18.72 but they may have other plans.
  17. I can answer questions on Buy Rangers and have been to the two public meetings of the CIC group but I can try to answer questions.
  18. It will be interesting to see how much of the proposed £18.72 per month will go towards shares in the club once costs have been deducted. Also, from what Richard said, the monthly amount is a donation so, if you leave the scheme after 3 years you are entitled to nothing back. Am I correct?
  19. He is a life member of the RST so that is a connection I suppose.
