  1. neither did Walter, DA or Eck. So I tend to agree. What I couldn't work out is why @Rousseau agreed with your comment...🤔
  2. I'm actually a big fan of Fashions, I've blown hot and cold over him at times, though. . All the comments are pretty fair about his strengths and weaknesses, however what hasn't been mentioned is that he's also learning and improving. He demonstrated that with his goal on Saturday, he was in a similar position against the same opposition before and crumbled, this time he took a better route around the keeper and scored. Okay, just one example, but I really think he will continue to improve if he gets games and I'll be hoping he can prove his critics wrong and nail down a place in the starting 11. So, yes, he's more than useful, for me.
  3. But is it Craig? We've been here before, winning against a Celtic team already champions in a dead rubber, it doesn't win over anybody. A case of too little too late. But I do get it, there will be many who will want to see the team beat them regardless that the season is over. but I certainly won't be that fussed by the score on Saturday. I'd rather see some players get the experience and learn about themselves and what level they need to be at to make it at our club and I see that as a far more valuable lesson, even if we get tanked.
  4. I would normally agree but kinda disagree on this one. I don't want us to beat them, when they have nothing left to prove this season and our board thinking "well, maybe we don't need so many new faces this summer, this team could do a job". No wallpapering over the cracks please.
  5. Honestly, I would love that. We have nothing to play for apart from learning how some of our 'future star' can handle the occasion, or at least for those individuals to learn something about themselves. I use the term 'future stars' loosely, of course.
  6. So not many of our young boys can take a decent penalty then.
  7. I'm sure you said that in jest, but that would be a better way for all fans to experience such a partnership. Okay, you'd still have to offer the lower priced options but why not have some Gordon Ramsey match day classics in the food stalls in the concourses, and at EH for those that are willing to pay for the upgrade.
  8. Where did I say I blame Beale for today?? I said I will continue to back Beale, UNLESS he sticks with some of these losers for next season.
  9. Season officially over. Empty handed once again. We rebuild over the summer and I will back Beale for now. But if he thinks he'll gain success with some of these perennial losers, then he's not going to get my backing for long.
  10. I like Sakala, but FFS how do you miss that?
  11. I cant help but feel we need a new leader on the field. How can Tav lead others when he's so culpable himself. I don't mean to single out the captain, but it's time for change next season.
  12. Agree with the sentiment majority. In fact, we should scrap the POTY in seasons where we win nothing. Voting for the YPOTY is fine, and there is only one contender: Tillman. But to John's point, why the hell don't we have more options when we are supposed to be serious about a player trading model.
  13. The season was over, and even the slightest motivation was removed when we lost to them again. Now, it's important not to paper over the cracks, hopefully the board will see they MUST find a way to fund a rebuild - with the quality needed to win trophies. The fan's won't accept mediocrity - so they either improve the team or get out before they're pushed.
  14. It's the sad truth. Even sadder, though, is that most will be still here.
  15. I think the Gersnet forum members truly appreciate you asking their advice. All I would add is to take all feedback on board and then make a decision based on your gut, it will never let you down. Good luck.
  16. Our CBs gifted them two goals and Clancy gifted them one from us. I squad needs rebuilt so actually not a bad performance today and if backed in the Summer, I think Beale is the right man for us. The season was lost by Gio, Beale has given us hope for the future. Move on, and let's hope the referreing is better for the cup semi.
