Short answer for a new member. I question why you would join this forum and offer very little knowledge about the Most Successful Football Club in the world and express more curiosity about what we think of their worthless, tainted titles (or tables?), unless you are one of them.

Our winning streak was going to end at some point. It was a bad night, typical cup game, they were up for it and grew in confidence as the game went on. No excuses really. But...as long as this doesn’t derail our main goal, and in some way it may be a blessing in disguise, as hard as that is to fathom.

It could have been though. Would we have played any different? It’s a wake up call, no more, no less.

Just to add, I hated that retro strip, even more now.

Let that be a lesson learned. It was coming to be fair. Rather lose this than a league game or an EL game.

It raises the question of trust again though. Would you trust him in the OF game, it’s 1 all and they’re doing everything they can to wind him up, sound familiar? Not me. We need to sell players and Alfredo is first on my list. Id take 10million in Jan, if we could even get that. We don’t need him. Yes he plays an important, and different, role now and has been fairly effective, but If we had paid out 10million for someone else doing what Alfredo’s doing now, we’d be cursing Ross Wilson. Honestly, its time to move on for me. He could yet let us down at a more crucial moment than last Sunday. Sorry to say.

That win felt great! Started both halves pretty passively but determination and came through with flying colors. RTV gave MOTM to Kent and I would agree. Not everything he did came off but his energy continually created chances such as the great assist for the winner, you’ve got to give him credit. Arfield so important to how we play and I thought Morelos was very good again tonight. Kamara with another big European performance and Goldson’s header was an absolute peach to get us back in the game, albeit for just 2 mins. Overall, very happy with the result and the performance. Onward now we go to the most important game of the season against Ross County on Sunday.

Roofe! What a great signing, top quality player, top performance and top notch goal. Kent, Barisic, Kamara, Arfield, Morelos all worthy of a mention.

The players were knackered, they ran themselves into the ground, I agree they were magnificent. I would probably have brought on Barker for Roofe just to run with ball away from danger areas, and possibly Helander for Arfield to strengthen the back line. But hey, you’re right, in the end the result was a good one. Frustrated nonetheless not to have taken a huge scalp. I am proud of them, and they deserved to win. Bad call by the ref and assistant for the penalty. Should have VAR in the group stages tbh.

Again, I understand that, still doesn’t make me feel any better. I thought we were winning that and we should have. We should have learned if not at 2-0 up, certainly at 2-1. Why we didn’t make a change to bring on fresh legs is beyond me.
