  1. You really are determined to keep a hold of that funniest user award arent you?

What has WS done for you to tell him to get out the door?

the only player he has signed that is near the end of his playing career is Darchville, you appear to have written him off already without seeing him play.

Walter has stabilized domestically, no more.

    Credit to him for this.

It must also be mentioned he enjoys a good relation with the press that helps him with regards his general popularity.

However when DM goes I would hope that whoever was to come in would have sufficent vision and finance to support it, to start again.

Walter wouldn´t be part of this because a vision without thinking of european football is not acceptable.

  2. I agree bmck

Until the tabloids start to go after Murray

    or/and

next season starts disasterously (eg. CL exit in qualifiers/fall behind sellick in league inc. OF defeat with SB prominent)

then the masses will not wake up

Murray is a smart operator when it comes to self preservation and the PR machine would come out fighting.

I tend to think though to get the masses that are starting to see his faults (eg. biscuit-tin changing direction article slowly thanks to press) onside, he´ll try and bring off "something" that will restore his credibility amongst the majority.

The growing minority however won´t be swayed.

bmck, the power of the gutter press disgusts me btw.

  3. Get DM and WS out the door. WS has had his time and he's signing players near the end of their playing careers. Not good enough!

I'm glad I chucked my season ticket.

With them (especially DM) in charge we are treading water under threat of rough seas.

  4. I'd hazard a guess at reaching cup semi finals in the last 2 seasons

    Correct mate

Just shows how bad the last 2 seasons have been with regard to domestic competition

add a 3rd place finish in spl !!!

off the field it´s almost been worse :(

and some posters are saying it isn´t that bad

Wake up time Ladies and Gentlemen, it´s time those in charge of our club left before it´s too late.

  5. What have the following clubs done that Rangers have not ?

    Kilmarnock

    Hibs (x3)

    Livingston

    Motherwell

    sellick (x2)

    Hearts

    St.Johnstone (x2)

    Falkirk

    Dunfermline (x2)

    Dundee

    Gretna

  6. A couple of places are saying WS is keen on the defender, but if that's true then surely the writing is on the wall for Svensson?

Very probably and a not impossible pay off for Ugo the bombscare, who is just the type to cost us in the CL qualifiers.

  7. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DH6_tDFUE-E

Dont know if this has been mentioned yet but I'm hearing we may be looking at a part exchange with Sionko as the makeweight in a possible deal for this guy deal.

Doesn't look too bad but am loathe to judge on a couple of clips. After all, even Sebo didn't look too bad on the wee video I saw of him prior to signing.

Rangers european/world scouting system = youtube/agents referrals and vidoes.

Result= Too many pay offs / disasters.

Excuse me for being sceptical but I can see the newspapers now

"Feindouno will need time to adapt"

    "Scottish fitbaw don´t suit Feindouno"

"Feindouno vows to become a success"

"Feindouno to return to France with a sweetener"

When will we get our act together, have a read of article about how Sevilla organise themselves.

  8. While I don't condone their behaviour, surely the minutes silence is voluntary and not being the most respectful is hardly a sackable offence.

However I see it as behaviour unbecoming of a Rangers employee and they should be admonished for that and sent to some kind of class which teaches how to behave when representing Rangers FC.

Sadly it would seem that repesenting Rangers doesn´t entail the same standards of the past and it´s not only the players.

The whole ship is full of rotten apples from top to bottem.

  9. Would you take £1 million for McGregor and £1.5 million for Boyd if this was offered?

(figures off the top of my head btw)

I´d take 2.5M for them both yes although I´d see it as

£500,000 for McGregor and £2 million for Boyd

  10. Wouldn´±t want to see him at Ibrox.

Can be a good player BUT

temperamental and thinks only of his self

good at helping to divide dressing rooms and start fights

    getting on a bit

    high wages

injury problems that will only get worse

    Mark go take a hike

  11. The main gripe that people have with Boyd is that he could improve his game, NOT running the channels but be fitter, a little faster, sharper and have better first touch.

Now irrespective if he scores 1 goal or 31 goals that isn´t an unreasonable request of a professional athelte who is well paid indirectly by our good selves.

Good to hear him come out this week and recognize this and say that he will address the matter, pity it took him until he was 23.

My theroy is that his future with Rangers was in the air and in the last few days he has sat down with WS/AMcC and has decided to declare his intention of improving his professionalism/ dedication to the job, hence the newspaper article.

  12. If he was looking for a "Graveson" type of wage then NO WAY.

He´d be worth 20,000 a year MAYBE, however can´t see him accepting this.

If Boyd is staying which it looks like he is and when Walter plays one up front it will probably be JCD then TBH maybe we could spend the wage/money somewhere else.....in a younger type ....Koovermans or more likely Naismith.

To have both JCD and Fowler on the payroll at their respective ages and with their injury history would be a risk.

  13. have to admit though, nothing beats an effective scouting network who know what they are looking for an do an in depth analysis of prospective signings and their suitability.

That I think would help a great deal and given Ewan Chester´s return am doubtful it will happen.

  14. in the market we are operating within, it makes sense to have a look at players close up in order to assess how they will fit in with the scottish mentality, culture, style of football and way of life.

if it means we bring over a few trialists for some 'try before you buy' style transfers then i'm all for it it, but only If it means we dont end up taking on capuchoesque duds.

It makes sense in some ways but not in others.

Sometimes a player will need time to settle in a new enviroment and the club reap the dividends further down the line like Hemdani.

Given Rangers record in the transfer market/ pay-offs it´s a big chance to take if someone happens to show up well over a period of a few days, give him a 2 year contract worth 15,000 a week (1,500,000 pounds) then find out that he winds the effort down once the ink is dry on his contract.

  15. Absolutely spot on Buster.

I myself was a reasonable player in my mid teens (S'form with Dundee Utd and a Scotland under15/16 cap) but unfortunately, like many players my potential suffered because I liked to be like my friends and enjoy a drink and the wrong lifestyle.

One reason why I'd love to see Rangers (and other clubs) including scholarships where they board at Murray Park and also undertake educational courses.

That´s called vision and would involve expense.

Vision briefly passed by Ibrox dressed up as a moonbeam which the scottish wouldn´t buy into and basically went on a go slow until they could resume their scottish ways.

Now, money wouldn´t be spent on good visionary ideas such as yours Frankie, moreso allocated to first team fixes that may ensure short term results but once Walter leaves there will be little legacy.

At the end of the day it would seem that the majority of the support, certainly the louder section prefer this.

"You only reap what you sow"

  16. Gordon is an excellent pundit in an enviroment (Scotland) where the norm is mediocrity whether it be media or the football itself.

One thing he said that many players (young or old) would do well to take on board was

"If I was giving advice to any young player now it would be to live well without drink, cigarettes or drugs. Get as fit as you can possibly be and practise as often as possible to improve your all round game"

One of the reasons for our mediocre game in scotland is that few heed this type of advice.
