  1. Joking aside, that scenario doesn't bear thinking about.
  2. Agree with your sentiments Craig. How do you see Sunday going from a non-football perspective?
  3. FWIW I just don't want to see the average fan being used and abused by anyone. People have monetised us in the past, people are doing so now, and people will do so in the future. We all want Rangers to win. Some because of a love of football, some because of a religious and moral sense of duty and some because of both. As long as there is a Rangers, there will be unscrupulous characters who will attempt to push our buttons in order to line their own pockets. That's all I was trying to say.
  4. Without getting in to the realms of hearsay, I've been told that there is involvement. The people that want rid of King and his chums smell an opportunity. As is always the case, useful pawns are collated and deployed in order to promote legitimacy.
  5. Can I ask/say one last thing then I'll shut up. Why are people in such a rush to hand over their money to people who claim to be acting in their interests as Rangers supporters? The opacity levels of these things are a turn off right from the get go. But hey, different strokes for different folks as they say.
  6. Fair enough Frankie - apologies. Maybe I should abstain from these threads but surely people recognise Stockbridge and the like for what they are, no?
  7. I suggested during Sunday's recording of the pod that Murty should go. The fact that lots of people agree with me just reinforces the notion that we can't all be wrong about whether he should be the manager any longer. However, he is being kept onside by the board in case they need him as back up. And, they are prepared to ride out the waves of bad publicity (which could culminate in ugly dissent on Sunday) in a manner akin to the Barton situation by using the Miller and Wallace suspensions to deflect attention away from their piss poor decision making in the immediate aftermath of Sunday's reverse. Murty knows this and has played on it hence the reason for some of his (on the surface of it) inexplicable use of language in his media conferences. Murty's powerplay is so obvious if you ask me.
  8. Bluedell - Brian Stockbridge and David Griffiths are involved in this. People like the aforementioned are playing on your emotional ties to enable them to put their hands in your pocket. Does that not merit calling it for what it is?
  9. This requires an upfront fee for set-up costs before contributions to purchase shares are taken. It is vetted and decisions are final and non-negotiable. When you leave, shares are returned to the individual. Meaning... We want to know who you are before we take your set-up donation. We'll then take your contributions and your proxy voting rights to, ideally, protect our existing investment or at the very least cause issues for King Co. Thereafter, we will return devalued shares to you once you decide to leave after we've given your monthly contributions a management haircut. These c***s must think people are stupid.
  10. Thought that it sounded good guys. I can still tighten up quite a bit with more practice. Glad to hear the positive feedback though and even though I say so myself, I agree with Pete's comments - I'd like to think that most fans would deem it to be worth a listen. The jingle is the correct length, it sounds catchy the more I hear it and the stings work well. Thanks again for having me on - I always have good fun talking to you guys!
  11. Can Kenny or Lee not give us the lowdown and save us all the guessing game?
  12. I'm sure he'll be bothered as he counts his 260 grand bonus money since his incept date as Dave's branch manager. He should be sacked. No harm to Motherwell, in fact naw, every harm to Motherwell, but they are about the geezer's stretch.
  13. Brian Stockbridge is linked to this. Sounds like a vehicle to get rank and file punters to pay and soften the blow when their shareholdings are diluted in upcoming share issues.
  14. I'm not trying to score petty points here, but did anyone like how Stubbs handled our amateurish approach for Scott Allan? Clarke's reaction was similar in tone. Kris Boyd came out and backed him up because he's got a beef with King, and that probably deflected some of the focus away from Clarke.
  15. Do you mean FdB as being too set in his ways?
  16. In any case, I'm dismayed that bluenoses are seriously countenancing a Celtic fan, nominal or otherwise, to be the manager and by extension the figurehead of our club. C'mon fellas...
  17. There are ways of doing things guys, no? I would fully expect him to defend his employers and rebuff an approach, amateurish or otherwise. It was the way that he did it that I didn't like too much.
  18. Forgot he had been appointed. Still, a club job over a national team gig? Do you foresee a Rangers side going four games without scoring in Scotland? I don't subscribe to Michael Laudrup or Ronald Koeman per se. Just thought I'd mention them; at least they are of a better quality that Mick McCarthy and some of the other names listed a few posts back.
  19. Fair comment re Ajax. The length of time afforded him in England and Italy would make it nigh on impossible to recreate success or far less put in the building blocks to achieve it in the short to medium term. Whether or not people saw through him or not is a different matter but I would imagine his 'Dutchness' might've been an issue at his last two clubs. Speaking of Dutchmen, Ronald Koeman anyone?
  20. Look at the way Clarke reacted to the Jordan Jones stuff. That should be enough to put a line through his name right away.
  21. Bill, why does FdB not float your boat? Please don't say Inter and Palace. Apparently, the players at Selhurst Park turned on him because he was showing them all up at training. In Milan, he was apparently not allowed to do what he was hired to carry out in the first place i.e. politics behind the scenes. He had the measure of Rodgers in the Europa League and won the title in a country which is dominated by a handful of teams, similar to ours. Why does that not appeal as opposed to hiring a Celtic fan for instance, which loads of people seem to want (obviously yourself excepted).
  22. Can you imagine it if Clarke were to take the job and they come in and take him away? Nah, he's sitting tight and waiting until Brenda heads back down south. It'll then be a straight shoot-out between him and Popcorn Teeth. Or he follows Rodgers back south. But enough about them. Pardew - lol. Neil - gimme peace. Davies - god help us. McCarthy - Perrier Awards to be doled out to whoever put money on him. Hoddle - hmmm. Can we afford another madman? Warnock - highly unlikely. Murty - please God, NO. The Laudrup brothers haven't been mentioned... Of all of the names being spoken about by fans or bookies, only desperadoes like Pardew and Davies would seriously contemplate getting involved with this board. In light of today's events it's becoming clearer to me that Derek McInnes didn't like what he saw and heard. Are we blindly putting our faith in this mob to deliver a good manager? It's increasingly looking that way to me.
  23. Regardless if this is true, untrue, used by the board for whatever reason, I'm afraid if it means that Murty is handed the job for next season then I'll have to seriously reconsider renewing a seat that I've sat in for what would be a 31st season. And, I would strongly imagine that I would be unlikely to return until this board are gone. I've tried to make allowances for them. They lurch from crisis to crisis. If this statement is forthcoming in the morning, the Hearts match will be fun and games. Hell mend them.
