  1. Interested to see what the "...& its about to get better..." quote is referring to...? If its just a general 'things will be better next season', or if it's a hint at something else being announced?
  2. I think if we do end up with an orange strip, it's more likely to be a 3rd kit than an away top, so chances are you'll hardly see it used officially.
  3. I don't really think there's much you can do with the "light blue shirt/white shorts" combo before you start p*ssing off a large chunk of the support by chanaging it too much. I can't imagine us in blue n white stripes, or blue body/white arms. It could be worse - we could be stuck thinking of different ways to make green and white hoops look slightly different every other year, so as to continue fleecing our support.
  4. A mate sent me these photos yesterday - not entirely sure where he got them from, but it looks like a possible sighting of the new Hummel Orange strip thats been rumoured to be coming next season (and similar to the one in my profile photo).
  5. What annoys me more about the Whittaker thing - and the MOH/Hampden one as well - is the fact that our support is getting hung up on Celtic related shenanigans. Who gives a flying f*ck what that lot and their cronies are up to? Getting obsessive about your closest rival is their game - not ours. Anyway, apologies - I'm not specifically having a go at you DMAA, I just happened to quote you here.
  6. I thought - and I've used good ol' Google to check - that it came from further back than the 19th century. "The origin of the term f****n comes from Irish folklore (the word itself a derivative of Fianna, an ancient Irish goddess). It described an ancient group of Knights who were self-reliant and had a passion for Irish land. So great was their passion according to the legend, they gave up a chance for world dominion to keep Ireland." And then it's linked to the 19th century story listed above by: "This fit very closely with the beliefs of the modern movement and was taken as the organization name" Earned my chufty badge for the day with that.
  7. Has anyone taken into account the loss of earnings for all those wee boys round Ibrox, who'll be out of pocket with no cars to keep an eye on any more??
  8. Sky Sports reporting that the fee is about £1million, which seems like a decent bit of business if true. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11788/11195249/jamie-murphy-set-for-rangers-medical-after-fee-agreed-with-brighton
  9. No, the issue is that some Rangers fans on here refer to other Rangers fans as idiots, when we're all supposed to be on the same side.
  10. Honestly, you could level that statement at any goup of voters, voting for any of the major political parties. If you believe that any group of politicians care about any of us, I feel sorry for you.
  11. Surely it helps that Red Bull pumped around 52 million Euros* into the club though? We don't really have the luxury of that kind of investment. (*figure taken from this massive article - about halfway down https://www.ft.com/content/2567291c-2f89-11e7-9555-23ef563ecf9a)
  12. Not meaning to start an argument, but show displeasure at what? The guy went to a school to speak to some kids. Its not like he went round the crowd at Ibrox trying to convert everyone. Fact is, he's one of our players (at the moment, despite hardly playing) and for our own supporters (allegedly) to attack him is out of order.
  13. Not sure how it works for modern football teams these days, but surely the whole team going out boozing would help them bond? I know it's probably frowned upon for professional athletes to drink, but surely it would help break down barriers? Maybe not during the season, when they're expected to play right enough. And maybe don't tell Pena about the session...
  14. I know it's not quite the same thing (different shaped baw for a start...) but I used to play rugby years ago and we always did a ritual before every match where we basically made as much noise as we could, shouting and with our studs, to get us wound up for the game. Worked an absolute treat and probably helped put the sh*tters up the opposition as well! Not so easy if the great game of fitba though, seeing as how both teams have to hang about in the tunnel before being ushered onto the field. Would take the sting out of it a bit!
  15. Surely the only safe standing area for the Green Brigade, is in the middle of a field surrounded by mines? I jest of course. The middle of the field should be full of mines too.
  16. I think, considering the importance of the last game, I'd rather see them defending better. Given that a draw might be enough to bag second place, I think being stronger at the back and hitting on the counter might be the best bet. That being said, I'd love to see Lennon squirm as we rode all over the top of his team!
  17. It's a sad day when 18-stone Kris Boyd has "more movement" than anyone other than a geriatric sloth.
  18. ...except that 3 different places (the Record, the Sun and the Nottingham Post) are reporting today that Rangers have opened talks to take Cummings permanently.
  19. I don't think him being here in Scotland well help much to be honest - if anything, I think it's the Scottish influence that's brought the worst out in him. I heard stories about him being seen in Waitrose on Byres road buying a carry out on the way home from training. I've no idea if that's the truth though, so take it with a pinch of salt. Him being constantly hungover though could be a good explanation as to why he was always a couple of yards off the pace in every game he played.
  20. I'm pretty sure I meant it tongue in cheek. I've read it back and it seems tongue in cheek to me. I mean, I guess I could write *tongue in cheek* after a comment like that, just so folk know, but then I'd be wasting time when I could be doing actual work here *tongue in cheek*. See? It doesn't work.
