I always thought that it would be an ingenious way to commit suicide. Attend one of these derbies with an opposing team's jersey concealed under clothing only to reveal it after your team scores. I think you would have to do it in a real crazy fan base like River Plate (Brazil), Zenit or Red Star. By the time security got to you, you would be in pieces.

Further, the 'current' ones would not be a part of the new equation as they have shown in spades their collective inability to officiate a pie eating contest, let alone a professional fitbaw match. Effective referee game management is as integral to a fitbaw game as an endocrine system is to a body. If the quality of ref is raised then the quality of match play will, as consistency will be the standard. This is required. This is not a luxury. Find the money or continue to fail.

The cost could be absorbed spread over the entire league. SPFL refs are absolutely horrid and this has to change. These are not luxury costs these are integral to product quality and efficiency.

There are certain things which need to take place to eliminate as much bias as possible. One way to omit bias from the Scottish game would be to import fulltime refs from outside of Scotland. Practicable? Firstly, SPFL would have to go to a full-time referee system. Additionally, a video review should be introduced as well as an impartial, permanent review board which examines all carded calls. Referees should be graded and ranked based upon the accurateness and timeliness of their calls. If referees fail to meet prescribed standards then they should be replaced. If you want a professional league then you must have a truly professional referee corp. This is not rocket science.

Having grown up on shit tier American sports commentary, RTV is awesome. I have no complaints. A few quick pregame interviews, a review of the lineups, the game, quick half covering the action, game. It is to the point without all of the useless 'expert' gum beating and opinion. "They should have done this and look at this guy" blah blah...STFU. The old guy with the beer belly is all about the team and it shows. It's like listening to your grandad do commentary. Well worth my buck.

He is simply seeing where his men fit in. Players like Windass are an enigma. Windass actually worked in this game. SG is simply giving the guy the benefit of the doubt before he reaches a conclusion. SG is on an island. He has to work with the resources in his possession. This is a puzzle that takes time.
