  1. Firstly I'd like to congratulate every Rangers fan at Ibrox today for not playing into our enemies hands. Despite going 2-0 down, despite some provocation from the away support and despite there still being a lack of clarity with respect to some songs, our fans handled themselves impeccably. Afterwards, while driving home, I knew it wouldn't take long for the lies and misinformation to begin. Despite the SFA/SPL advisor being delighted, despite the Match Commander being delighted and despite our chairman being delighted Jim Traynor was allowed to try his utmost to change the neutral's mind. His agenda was clear from the outset as he admitted attending the game only to listen to our fans for sectarianism. Eventually, his female accomplice read out an email (30mins later) regarding this incredible comment and he struggled to answer and stuttered on about who the emailer was. No answer was forthcoming. Neither were any Rangers fans wanting to talk about the issue allowed on in the first hour of this programme. For those who weren't at the game and those, like honest Jim, tuning in only to help UEFA enforce their new directive, Derry's Walls, The Sash and Rule Britannia were all sung. All 3 are good, honest folk songs and while they might not be immediately associated with football, they are songs we should be able to sing proudly without being branded sectarian. Jim Traynor and his ilk can try all they want to decry us at every opportunity. Thankfully at last the club offered some back up. Now this may be too little too late for some and I appreciate that but I sense a change in the attitude somewhat. It may be slight but it's a start. Together by continuing to adhere to the directive and continuing to sing our athems like the above we can show the trouble-makers (and downright malicious liars) like Traynor and his friends we won't go quietly into the night. We had a poor result today but there were many positives to take on and off the pitch. I'm as proud as ever to be a bear. The quicker Traynor and muck liek him realise that pride and loyalty will never disappear the better.
  2. Didn't watch the game but seems to have impressed a few people. Anyone see the game and what type of player he is?
  3. WTF?????? You're at Ibrox to watch and support Rangers not Chelsea so why wear a Chelsea top? And before anyone starts with the Rangers/Chelsea connection BULLSHIT to that.
  4. We all know that all eyes (and ears!) will be on us tomorrow It was clear last week at motherwell that some morons - and i use that word as it IS what i think of them - chose to sing certain songs louder than ever Can you PLEASE wisen up for tomorrow's game. Whilst we are certainly persecuted in the majority of the country's press, while we have no doubt been misrepresented at times, and while there is also no doubt over the fact that certain songs have been condemned that there is absolutely nothing wrong with (Hugh Keevins stand up please!) ..... none of this is a reason for us to continue giving UEFA the ammunition they need to shut down our stands or dock points from us. let our new PR consultants do the talking off the pitch for us, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consider your behaviour if you are going to Ibrox tomorrow ..... If you truly consider yourself to be a fan of Glasgow Rangers (and we are a FOOTBALL CLUB after all) then please realise that silly actions will only hurt the club we all love further .... please don't make this fan give us hope, and his season ticket
  5. Im listening to Radio Scotland and they are belting out songs but they dont seem "catchy" at all. They need to re-due them so fans can join in. I heard the Wolverhampton version and its nowhere near as good as the version Ive got on CD.
  6. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/r/rangers/5230772.stm Ricksen advised to leave Rangers Fernando Ricksen has no future at Rangers Rangers manager Paul Le Guen believes defender Fernando Ricksen should try to find a new club. "I told him (Ricksen) that perhaps it would be better to leave and discover another context and asked him to think about it," said Le Guen. Ricksen was sent home from Rangers' pre-season tour of South Africa following an incident on a flight. He returned to Glasgow this week but was not permitted to train with the rest of the first team squad. Ricksen checked into the Sporting Chance Clinic following his premature return from South Africa and underwent residential counselling for anger management. However, it appears he has no future at Rangers, with Le Guen saying: "Perhaps it would be best for everybody", when asked if he thought Ricksen should find another club. The 30-year-old Dutchman, who arrived at Rangers in 2000, has one year of his contract at Ibrox to run. Good riddence as far as I'm concernd. Only played when he was trying to win a contract. He disrespected the managers and the club as a whole. Sianara Fernando, one day you'll realise how good you had it.

  8. IMO we have a few things which need to be taken place both off and on he park. Off the park, id like to see the Non-Rangers chants stopped / new and old Rangers songs (re)introduced, the Club to get behind the fans more with certain issues and for them to take a stand against the media this season. On the park its first and foremost to get back to basics and playing football. I expect that will happen under the PLG era. He has brought in some good players and has set up a nice looking blend and I am in favour of the system. Firstly I want the SPL title back where it belongs, this would be my first priority. Any cup competition is always a boost and a lottery when we enter. The standard of the UEFA cup is not what it once was but there is some good sides in it, however I do not fear anyone in it and we are capable of beating anyone at Ibrox. Id like a Euro run this year. The Scottish cup has eluded us for a few seasons so Id like us to reach Hampden again. The odds are highly stacked against 4 trophies out of 4 and is too much to expect especially when we are entering a new era. So id like progress on the park with a settled team and system doing well and resulting in the SPL title and at least 2 good cup runs.
  9. It appears that we have been reported to the SFA for sectarian singing at Motherwell on Sunday and the SFA are dispatching delegates to Ibrox on Saturday and to Tynecastle on Sunday. Moreover, it has been reported that Craptic were reported to the SFA for sectarian and IRA chanting at the last game of the season at The Dungheap and the SFA are wanting a report from Tynecastle this Sunday. This has led to Peter Lawell printing an open letter to fans in this weeks Craptic View pleading for them to drop sectarian and IRA chanting as he fears a backlash from the SFA and UEFA. This proves that the SFA and UEFA spotlight isn't going to move from us this season, so we need to box clever - if we can drop the EF***EE'ing and The Billy Boys we can exert preasure on the REAL bigots. As many of us have said on here, the Craptic minded media in Scotland don't want us to stop singing EF***EE'ing and The Billy Boys, because if we do, the spotlight is going to be firmly on the REAL bigots. Come on Bears, wise up and lets put preasure on the REAL bigots Cammy F
  10. He is having a go at the West Ham support again. http://msnsport.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=407706&CPID=8&clid=8&lid=2&title=LAMPARD+HITS+OUT+AT+HAMMERS I dont believe for 1 minute that there was West Ham fans cheering when he broke his leg. Surely the were clapping him off the park like most players on strechers get. I also find it hard to believe some West Ham fans didnt think he was good enough, he was a great talent. But he isnt the first player to be booed by his own support and he wont be the last. Ask Craig Moore! ive heard him being booed at Ibrox when W Smith played him in midfield, then in the underground que after the game Bears were arguing amongst themselves about him.
  11. Rangers face a battle on two fronts to restore their reputation this season. While Paul Le Guen's arrival has addressed last term's domestic descent to third place, David Murray, the Rangers chairman, is at the vanguard of a more complex and potentially more costly situation. UEFA's decision to impose a heavy censure and a fine of Ã?£13,000 for "repeated breaches" of its ethical code is the first wave of the governing body's clampdown on bigotry. Murray gave an impassioned interview to Rangers TV last week, urging supporters to show respect and integrity throughout the season. The Herald understands there are plans to reinforce the point at the first home game of the season, against Dundee United on Saturday, with anti-discrimination banners and possibly even subtle amendments to the pre-match music. One song, Wolverhampton Wanderers, which celebrates a European Cup Winners' Cup victory against the Midlands side in 1961, is almost certain to be featured. Last night, Jim Templeton, president of the Rangers Supporters' Assembly, offered his organisation's unconditional backing to the battle against bigotry after attending a meeting with Martin Bain, the Rangers chief executive, and Murray, to unite the club and its right-minded supporters. "We have made a lot of progress and you saw from what David Murray had to say at the end of last week how serious the club are about tackling the problem," he told The Herald. "We will be happy to help in any way we can. There are plans already under way for the first home league match of the season to force home the point. "We have to cut out the sectarian problem. If you go back to my younger days, say 20 years ago, and compare it to today, there has been vast change for the better. Year-on-year there has been a controlled improvement and that has to continue." UEFA have taken a particularly dim view of The Billy Boys, which includes the line "up to our knees in ****** blood", and have threatened stadium closure or even suspension from European competition if the level of sectarianism continues. However, the UEFA directive has spawned an indignation among an element of fundamentalist Rangers supporters. While there has been an audible hush around Ibrox at the contentious part of The Billy Boys, there are some who have deigned to sing twice as loudly to compensate, not least during the pre-season friendly against Middlesbrough. On Sunday at Fir Park the difficulties in controlling the away support were exposed with sporadic bursts of sectarian chanting, especially before the game against Motherwell. "As has often been said before, this is not simply a football problem but a society problem and we cannot tackle it on our own," said Templeton. "In Linfield, for example, some people were out to prove a point. You get resistance in any walk of life but you need to put pressure on people not to go down that road. The vast majority of Rangers fans do not have a problem with sectarianism but it is everybody's responsibility to ensure there is no damage done to the club." Rangers fans' issue with UEFA over identifying The Billy Boys as an offensive song centres on the fact various clubs have adopted their own version. "We shouldn't be up to our knees in anyone's blood," said Templeton. "We should encourage everyone to come on board and get away from it. You have to consider there are other clubs who sing the same song with one word of difference. Look at the Middlesbrough game. They started their version and it was natural that the home fans would react." The sectarianism debate has been intensified since the appointment of Le Guen, Rangers' first Roman Catholic manager. The continued singing is doubtless a source of acute embarrassment to Murray, who pulled off a major coup in attracting one of Europe's most coveted young managers to Glasgow. "When the club announced Paul Le Guen was the new manager I never met one Rangers supporter who cared about his religion," said Templeton. "We had no idea what Dick Advocaat was and could not have cared less. The team is full of Catholics and now we have our first Catholic manager. It makes no difference." UEFA and the Scottish Football Association are now obliged to monitor the behaviour of Rangers fans both in the Bank of Scotland Premierleague and in the UEFA Cup. From next month, government legislation means police forces can impose banning orders on supporters found guilty of sectarian or discriminatory singing at football grounds. Templeton is receptive to any measures that will address the problem but maintains UEFA's cack-handed approach in the first instance ââ?¬â?? they found Rangers not guilty only for the appeals body to overturn that decision ââ?¬â?? may prove counter-productive. UEFA investigators gathered evidence from two separate fronts: first, the atmosphere at Ibrox on the night of February 22, when Villarreal played in Glasgow; and, second, the conduct of Rangers supporters in Spain for the Champions League return leg. He said: "I think the UEFA directive was aimed in the wrong direction. If they headed down the *** road people would be more receptive." Templeton has also written to the chief constable of Greater Manchester Police seeking a full apology on behalf of fans after their decision to cancel a proposed pre-season game against Bolton Wanderers, claiming inadequate stewarding and safety concerns. "They never consulted Derby, Ipswich or Newcastle, where [Rangers] fans have travelled recently with no problems, but instead Liverpool, based on a problem eight years ago," he said
  12. A team that is worth watching i full expect the atmosphere at Ibrox to to take a much needed turn for the better. Critics argue that the banning of sectarian chants and all will kill off any atmosphere at our stadium but this couldnt be further from the truth. The real reason Ibrox has been like a morgue is down to the fact that the quality of football over the last couple of seasons has totally abysmal. Think about it. when was the last time you sat on the edge of you seat buzzing with anticipation and the adrenalin flowing through your viens? Answers on a post card please. The truth is weve all been sitting with our heads in our hands in our hands watching the games through our fingers for as long as i remember. Even when we did get a result under Mcleish the football wasnt pretty. But that time is gone and weve served our sentence and it looks like the good times are gonna roll again. Let them, I say because we the supporters deserve them.
  13. Some cracking photos that I found in my archive box and thought I'd share with you guys before I delete the email, I need to clear space in my inbox basically:
  14. It was a pleasure being seated in a stand dedicated to the memory of Davie Cooper and belting out 'The Cooper Song' - pity it wasn't at Ibrox tho.. We've got Davie, Davie, Davie Cooper on the wing, on the wing We've got Davie, Davie, Davie Cooper on the wing, on the wing Davie oh Davie Cooper oh Davie Cooper on the wing Davie oh Davie Cooper oh Davie Cooper on the wing Cammy F
  15. Wind has caught my ear that a certain " refugee " is coming to Ibrox

  17. As we approach the new season, I have decided to take a different approach from Frankie who (rightly) gave you have analysis of our team that we expect to wrestle our title back from the inhabitants of Torbett Towers. Just as important as the squads ââ?¬Ë?on-fieldââ?¬â?¢ performances this season, is ââ?¬Ë?off-fieldââ?¬â?¢ performance. And, I am not just talking about the abysmal atmosphere at Ibrox. We are well and truly in UEFAââ?¬â?¢s sights and they have plenty of allies waiting for our first slip-up so they can run back to UEFA and point the finger at us ââ?¬Ë?big, bad bigoted Hunsââ?¬â?¢. Make no mistake, blind refusal to listen to UEFA (and Murray and supporters representatives) is no longer an option. If we donââ?¬â?¢t heed this warning, Rangers Football Club will suffer accordingly. Some will say that bowing to UEFA is a sign of weakness, that it is the first step to losing all of our songs and that those who support axing of The Billy Boys are ââ?¬Ë?sell-outsââ?¬â?¢, ââ?¬Ë?PC-brigadeââ?¬â?¢ etc. Given David Murrayââ?¬â?¢s refusal to back us even once, over the last decade, has led to us being unable to defend ourselves from this UEFA decision. In my opinion, we have no option but to comply with the UEFA directive as going against it is only going to lead to Rangers being deducted points, relegated, thrown out of Europe etc, and I donââ?¬â?¢t think that there is one Rangers fan that really wants to see that happen. The argument that ââ?¬Ë?fenianââ?¬â?¢ isnââ?¬â?¢t directed at Catholics and Craptic fans lost any credibility when sections of our fan-base started to sing the cringe-worthy ââ?¬Ë?You Are A Fenianââ?¬â?¢. There is no denying that sections of our fans think / believe that a Fenian is a Catholic or a Craptic fan. Cutting to the chase, there are going to be two distinct camps amongst the support this year ââ?¬â?? those who will refrain from singing The Billy Boys and those who will continue to sing this song as an act of defiance. Both will claim that they are right, both will see the other section as ââ?¬Ë?the enemy withinââ?¬â?¢. This is concerning, as is the fact that there has been no leadership from the club (although this was promised). So folks, Iââ?¬â?¢d like to appeal for calm from both sides over this issue and I urge the club (we only have over a week to our first home game) to release a statement that details what songs are considered ââ?¬Ë?singableââ?¬â?¢ and which arenââ?¬â?¢t. They must also clearly outline the severity of any punishment that we are likely to receive from UEFA for continued singing of The Billy Boysââ?¬Â¦. So, what ââ?¬Ë?campââ?¬â?¢ am I in? Iââ?¬â?¢m in the ââ?¬Ë?bin it for the good of Rangers Football Clubââ?¬â?¢ camp but can understand why people donââ?¬â?¢t want to give an inch over this song. At a time where Italian clubs are getting reduced sentences from match fixing, we are getting hammered from a ââ?¬Ë?songââ?¬â?¢. Apart from that issue, lets get right behind PLG and the squad and lets make ourselves the 12th man. I remember not so long ago that Ibrox was one of the most intimidating stadium in the world ââ?¬â?? we are the only people that can make this happen again. Cammy F
  18. It is with great delight i can announce that Wolverhampton Town will be played over the tannoy system at Ibrox against Dundee United. It has taken longer than we all would have expected but as promised CDL have been on the case and never gave up in our enquiries. delighted:)
  19. Dado Prso looked in fine form this afternoon as Rangers played their final match ahead of the big SPL kick off on Sunday. In a game of two halves, Rangers dominated the first 45 minutes, but the visitors came back well after the break to level the match. It marks the end of pre-season for the Ibrox club as their next match will be at Fir Park for the SPL opener. Dado Prso and Nacho Novo were reunited in attack for the first time under Paul Le Guen this afternoon and they didn't disappoint, carving out the opener after eight minutes. Lionel Letizi spotted Novo on his way down the left and the Spaniard sprinted to the corner flag before whipping in a fine cross for Prso to fire home with his second touch. Minutes earlier young defender Antoine Ponroy tested Jussi Jaaskelainen with a header but the Finnish keeper just did enough to keep the effort out. Bolton too sent out a full-strength side for the opening 45 minutes with Kevin Davies, El Hadji Diouf and Ricardo Vaz Te spearheading the frontline. But with 20 minutes gone the Light Blues sliced Allardyce's men apart again and should have doubled their lead. Makhtar N'Diaye fed Novo, who did well to beat the offside trap and he raced into the box, rounded Jaaskelainen to fire goalbound, only for Abdoulaye Faye to slide in and divert for a corner. It was another excellent move and at this stage Gers looked in complete control. The visitors created a half chance when Kevin Nolan found space to meet Quinton Fortune's corner after 26 minutes, but his half-volley fizzed wide. They then created another good opportunity, again from a flag kick and Hunt could only watch as Gavin Rae deflected his shot past the post in 34 minutes. Both sides shuffled their packs at half time but it was Bolton who started the brightest and in the 51st minute drew level through Kevin Davies. The towering striker was perfectly positioned at the back post to meet El-Hadji Diouf's cross and McGregor was helpless to stop his shot. Gavin Rae saved Gers after 67 minutes when he headed Diouf's shot off the line, before Gary Speed then sent an effort crashing off the bar. RANGERS: Letizi (McGregor 45); Ponroy (Hutton 45), Svensson (Rodriguez 72), Pierre-Fanfan, Smith (Adam 45); Namouchi (Sionko58), Rae, Clement, N'Diaye (Hemdani 72); Prso (Boyd 58), Novo (Buffel 58) BOLTON: Jaaskelainen (Al Habsi 33 (Walker 62)); Hunt, Meite (Speed 33), Faye, Fortune, Diouf, Nolan, Haim, Al Tal, Vaz Te, Davies
  20. Rangers manager Paul Le Guen has told defender Marvin Andrews he can leave the club for nothing. The Frenchman says Andrews does not feature in his plans for the coming season, leaving the Trinidad and Tobago international to look for a new club. The 30-year-old has been at Ibrox for the last two years. But with Julien Rodriguez, Karl Svensson and Jose Karl Pierre Fanfan ahead of him in the pecking order, his Rangers career is at an end. Won't say I'm suprised to be honest. But Marv can be proud, he proved a lot of doubters wrong at times. I am, however, suprised that this article is saying Fan Fan is the third choice centre back when clearly he's held talsk with other clubs, meaning we only have 2 tried and tested centre backs who are 100% sure to be at the club this season.
  21. or sometimes referred to as Have You Seen The Glasgow Rangers - a fantastic song that should be reintroduced at Ibrox ; http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=DE1EC21D4E94AB35 Cammy F

  23. Currently, we are being portrayed, and seen as the BNP, Hezbollah, Al Qaeda of football and have a huge job to turn this perceived image around. However, this is a direct consequence of Dodgy Daveââ?¬â?¢s continued refusal to publicly back us, the Rangers support. For years, many media outlets in this country have openly lied about the actions of Rangers fans. From the supposed riots in Sunderland and Bradford to us cutting our pitch to resemble a sash to the annual criticisms of our kit, sections of the mhedia have shown their agenda ââ?¬â?? to demonise Rangers Football Club and itââ?¬â?¢s supporters. Now, I could go on and on about things that have been printed in certain papers by certain journalists, but I am aware that the Amazon rain-forests are running out of tress and I donââ?¬â?¢t want this blamed on Rangers fansââ?¬Â¦Ã¢â?¬Â¦. Anyway, itââ?¬â?¢s safe to say that we all know the main culprits and their many lies and innuendos. I have to interject here and discuss the UEFA decision and that by not challenging this, David Murray has given our enemies ammunition and by god are they using it to their advantage. The RST rightly said that only through education and not condemnation could we change attitudes, they are right, but it is a pity the media donââ?¬â?¢t see it this way. We are working to eradicate some of the songs and chants that are heard at Ibrox and elsewhere, and after the UEFA decision we were promised that the club would take the lead and inform us what we can sing and how they were going to promote and celebrate our proud history and tradition. Linfield Football Club have, through community work, education and PR positively created an inclusive club which still promotes and celebrates itââ?¬â?¢s loyalist roots. We could learn a thing or two from Linfield. In a recent Sunday rag, they told the journalist all of the above and came out with some good press. Meanwhile, David Murray sits in his office counting our cash whilst allowing everyone and their dog to have a go at us. The latest is the Daily Record and their take on why the Bolton friendly was cancelled. Now, as I have said previously, compare his ââ?¬Ë?dignified silenceââ?¬â?¢ to attacks on US to his fast, strong and legal attacks on anyone who dares question Mr Murray or his suntanned mukka Mr Bain. In all honesty, I am at the stage where I believe that Murrayââ?¬â?¢s malaise has spread to a majority of the support who either donââ?¬â?¢t care what is written about us, or worse, actually believe what is written about us. So, what can we do? That is the $64,000 question. Firstly, we have to openly admit and embrace our past ââ?¬â?? we are a football club who represent the Protestant traditions in Scotland and further afield. This is NOTHING to be ashamed off ââ?¬â?? it should be celebrated. However, we are an inclusive club who welcome fans / players / employees no matter their colour, creed or religion. Secondly, we have to convince our fans that by celebrating our Presbyterianism, this doesnââ?¬â?¢t mean disrespecting other religions. Thirdly, we have to do this publicly whilst fighting our corner in the media. That will require a PR Department that will rapidly respond to any inaccuracies that are published in the media. By doing this, we will show that we mean business and the journalists will be treated with respect, only if they treat us with respect and fairly ââ?¬â?? after all that is all we ask. Can this be achieved? Yes and easily. However, can it be achieved with David Murray at the helm? I seriously think not ââ?¬â?? this is going to get worse before it gets better unless Murray acts and acts swiftly ââ?¬â?? over to you Mr Chairman. Cammy F
  24. http://="http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/tm_objectid=17415566%26method=full%26siteid=66633%26headline=why%2di%2daxed%2dgers%2dgame%2d-name_page.html" Well thats his response... talk about spin!! Thoughts??
  25. Seems that Mr Ricksen done a lot more than through water over a stewardess. the big man was drunk on the plane and started throwing drink round everyone. He was then told to behave himself by PLG who was then told to "shove his club up his arse". He then went on and told the players what he thought of them as well. This info came from my Ibrox mole who has been very reliable in the past. If (and i certainly think it is) this info is true then Ricksen is up shit creek without a paddle.
