  1. I am delighted to announce that the Nithsdale Loyal RSC has today completed a purchase of 28,000 Rangers shares in our small attempt to try to get as many shares into Rangers supporters hands as possible. Our members are currently also looking to increase this number with individual purchases over the next week or so before the EGM. While this might not get us a board seat or even a mention of the list of shareholders, if every RSC out there managed to snap up a few thousand shares here and there we would soon have a significant enough number to collectively make a difference in voting ter
  2. Last Saturday I passed the red lion pub at plantation and seen the supporters bus leaving for the game this is a club that's been going for quite a time anyone know of any clubs that have been going for over twenty years I have great admiration for these clubs and the blokes that run them well done to them all .

  4. The poll resulted in a narrow win for 27/09/2014 v Hibernian, with the obvious caveat of moving to Sunday if required. As was proven last time, even if an early kick-off is unpalatable to some from a football point of view it gave us a nice comfortable afternoon/ early evening to eat and drink; so in some ways I'd be hopeful of an early kick off again. In the first instance I'm only going to put up two options: going back to Malaga Tapas http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g186534-d1087980-Reviews-Malaga_Tapas-Glasgow_Scotland.html or "somewhere else". In order not to appea

  6. Meeting between Supporters Club and Rangers FC and Strathclyde Police Last night, Thursday, Billy Montgomery of the Nithsdale Loyal RSC facilitated a meeting between around a dozen reps mainly from clubs in the Glasgow area. Initially the meeting had been called as a result of media reportage which caused concern about the policing of the forthcoming Old Firm match. Also present were club liaison manger Jim Hannah; Rangers FC security and safety executives David Martin and Robin Howe; and Andrew Bates the match commander at Ibrox from Strathclyde Police. We were given the outli
  7. Link to statement: http://www.nithsdaleloyal.com/ Needless to say we are absolutely gutted at the ridiculous verdict, but would like to thank all Bears out there who have supported us on these boards since we started our fight for justice about 11 months ago.
  8. Looks like the Nithsdale RSC boys lost their court case against Dundee Hibs. It will be interesting to hear the details in due course.
  9. Anyone happen to hear how the Nithsdale boys got on in court with Dundee Utd? Can't find anything in the usual news sites.
  10. Today we were again in Glasgow Sheriff Court to take on Dundee United in our ongoing action against them over the abandoned match last November. We are delighted to report that DUFC's attempt to get the case thrown out has failed, and we now move forward to a hearing at a date to be confirmed. Also, for tactical legal reasons as per our lawyers, we have decided it would be in our best interests to take them on in Dundee, and this was also approved by the court today. We have also been advised that as this case is now looking as if it will go the distance, we can say nothing furthe
  11. Today we were represented at Glasgow Sheriff Court in our small claims action against Dundee United, following their decision not to refund any part of the ticket price for the abandoned game last year. Only when our case was called did we, for the first time, see what defence Dundee United intended to carry out. Their lawyer asked for the case to be thrown out on 2 counts, one being that the case should have been made in Dundee and not Glasgow, and the other being a case of title, meaning that instead of the action being made against Dundee United Football Club, it should have been Th
  12. We all remember the farce following the abandoned game against Dundee united last year where United, instead of allowing free entry to ticket holders to the re-arranged game, charged half price entry to the match. We at the Nithsdale Loyal RSC challenged DUFC on this issue, and you may recall a report on these pages saying we were ready to take them to court over this. A further update is now on our website regarding our court date. Link: http://www.nithsdaleloyal.com/
  13. Tannochside Bear gives us the lowdown on recent events with his RSC - the Nithsdale Loyal RSC - versus Dundee Utd who as well all know disgracefully plan to charge fans for a previous game being called off. http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/2010/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=180 On Sunday 1 November 2009, the SPL match between Dundee United and Rangers was abandoned at half time due to the terrible weather and conditions which were becoming unplayable in the view of the referee, supported by both managers and players. Dundee United made an announcement that the
  14. Ibrox Suite, Sunday 29th November, 1.30pm As most will know, there was a meeting held at Murray Park last Monday before the club issued their decision that they were going to take a full allocation of Seville tickets. That meeting consisted of representatives of the Rangers Assembly, Flight Options, Nithsdale and Kinning Park RSC's together with Martin Bain, Kenny Scott and other officals from the club. The meeting was to discuss ways to allow our true fans to travel to the game, and have an official ticket for the Rangers area of the ground, what security measures are in place for
  15. As a lot of you know, I am secretary of the Nithsdale RSC. We are a member club of the Rangers Supporters Association, and through this membership we applied for tickets for the match at Dundee United, giving our named list of 66 members requesting tickets which then went directly to Dundee United, and we got back 66 tickets with our members names on it. Since Dundee United announced they were going to charge supporters again to see the replayed match, our chairman Monty, took them to task on this, and we sent an email to them asking, as we were entitled to do so within 14 days of the anno
  16. http://www.rangerssupporterstrust.co.uk/rs...00&Itemid=1 Following an unprecedented meeting, arranged by Billy Montgomery of Nithsdale Loyal, involving 68 Rangers Supporters' Clubs and 7 fans' organisations on Saturday 5 April, the Rangers Supporters' Trust, Rangers Supporters' Assembly and Rangers Supporters' Association have made a joint statement asking all parts of the Rangers family to unite in doing three things: improve the atmosphere at games; support the team; and demonstrate the best of our traditions. Whilst many of us no doubt feel we are being victimised, there can be
  17. From FF regarding yesterday's meeting. Rangers 'Til I Die is the theme By Mark Dingwall Sunday 8th April 2007 At a meeting on Saturday 68 Rangers supporters clubs pledged to swing behind a campaign to improve the atmosphere at games and stop the current witch-hunt against the club by our enemies. Putting our own house in order was the theme of the day at the mass meeting called by the Nithsdale Rangers Supporters Club in the "Wee Rangers" social club. In a full and frank two hour meeting numerous speakers for the 100+ attendees pledged their support to rid the support of chant
