League Cup - Who Needs It?

Recommended Posts

They haven't thats the Scottish Cup. We have won this 25 times they have won it 13/14 times.

I like this trophy don't see the need to do away with it unless we have a Super Cup type thing at the start of the season. Like league winner plays the Scottish cup winner.

Realised my error when in the commentary they mentioned we'd dominated this trophy. My bad. :o

Good reason to keep it going then though. :D

Ideally it should be played at a stadium with a capacity of 35k but we don't have one of those in Scotland. Ibrox, Hampden and Celtic Park are all to big for a League Cup SF with a diddy team in it but Easter Rd and Tynecastle are to small.

i know what you're saying and agree but as we don't have any grounds that hold around 35k then surely if they slash the prices right down and/or give out freebies then you would get more of a crowd?

Don't think they would give out freebies but slashing the prices to like £10 or even less would attract the crowds.

sure they've done promotions with schools before and gave so many freebies to the kids, don't see any problem in that. under £10 as you say would get the crowds up also. just always wondered why they have never done this and would rather have a pretty empty stadium......
