This was posted on FF by the RST Rep at the meeting.

The above statement was agreed between those present.

Before he started speaking did make the point that he would be legally constrained regarding the particulars of any negotiations regarding the sale of the club.

However, most of what has been in the papers does seem to be accurate in general if not in the specific.

With regard to sale of the club he said one serious approach has been made and is ongoing. Potential buyers need to discuss with the bank regarding their ability to manage the debt; to Murray to buy the shares; and then RFC directors so that they can make a recommendation to existing shareholders.

Muir's position. Said he represents Murray Group interests on the board of RFC.

IIRC, this meeting was previously arranged Pete before any protest... The Assembly have them quarterly with Bain.

Thanks Frankie.

I then agree with rbr that this was an opportunity missed as the information gained is basically what we knew. I would have liked answers to the questions of who exactly owns Rangers. What is the status of any take-over. What is Muir's function on the Rangers board. Are there any buyers on the horizon. What is the price for the sale of the club. etc.

what is Muirs role at our club? "he represents the interests of the Murray Group"

Were contract offers "competitive" in todays market ?

Did they represent an improvement on respective players wages ? "Offers were improvements on what they currently have."

Why exactly was the money freed-up not re-invested in the squad ?

Whose decision was this ? "Freed up dosh was available but Walter decided no."

Did this represent the bank changing the rules on agreed business plan so as to make further savings up front ?

"Bain says business plan give him discretion within agreed limits of the business plan."

This goes against what Walter told journalists off the record , that he had players lined up but at the last minute the conditions that he believed he had in place were changed , and by last minute I mean mid afternoon of the last day .

The more you read and hear, the muddier the water becomes. The only consistent aspect is that all news comes second or third hand. You never seem to get the facts directly from those involved, which I suppose isn't altogether surprising but doesn't really justify the amount of spinning by the various observers and message boys who have sprung up in every corner.

Btw, hope to fukk we win tonight.
