Rangers Football Club 0
STRONG reserve side cruise to 3-0 win over Falkirk A STRONG Rangers reserve side eased to a 3-0 win over Falkirk at Murray Park this afternoon. With ten first teamers in the starting eleven it was a comfortable victory for the Light Blues thanks to goals from Andy Little, John Fleck and Thomas Kind Bendiksen. Little got the home side off the mark after just seven minutes when he followed up on Steven Naismith's headed effort after a well worked corner involving Fleck and Nacho Novo. It was the only clear cut chance of the opening half but a second goal early in the second period signalled the start of a host of changes for Rangers. It was Fleck who added the second latching on to a neat through ball to volley home from the edge of the area with half an hour still left on the clock. That was the spark for a number of changes as Little, Steven Naismith, DaMarcus Beasley and Kirk Broadfoot all made way in quick succession for Kane Hemmings, Steph Stirling, Kyle Hutton and Gregg Wylde. It was another substitute though who added a little gloss to the scoreline with Norwegian Bendiksen slotting home an excellent third with just three minutes remaining. Rangers: Alexander; Broadfoot, Kinniburgh, Wilson, Smith; Beasley, Edu, Fleck, Little; Novo, Naismith. Subs: Gallacher, Hemmings, Kind-Bendiksen, Stirling, Campbell, Hutton, McCabe, Wylde. More... Bluedell 5,607
Perhaps a clue that Novo will not be starting on Sunday? Broadfoot and Beasley need the match practice and may be contenders but Novo has had a bit of football recently and would not need the game.
Zappa 0
Perhaps a clue that Novo will not be starting on Sunday? . Wouldn't be a surprise if he starts on the left. If not, he'll be on the bench.
Whosthedado 1,677
Perhaps a clue that Novo will not be starting on Sunday?. I think you are right Bluedell. Personally I find Novo infuriating at times because he really can go from the sublime to the ridiculous in a matter of seconds. For sheer effort and determination I would start him on Sunday. Plus he knows the Old Firm games inside out now..... and the Tims hate him!
