SFA to bring on foreign officials for Sunday's Tannadice clash

RANGERS' SPL clash at Tannadice on Sunday is definitely going ahead despite the strike by Scottish referees.

The SFA have confirmed that the vital match will be covered by officials from outwith Scotland but they have yet to announce who they are.

A statement today reads: "The Scottish FA can confirm that agreement has been reached with several European National Associations to ensure matches in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League and the Alba Cup final will be covered this weekend.

"Negotiations are continuing with other national associations to help ensure that some, if not all, matches in the Scottish Football League go ahead as normal.

"Clubs will be informed by 3pm today whether their matches will go ahead or not in light of the Scottish Category One referees electing to persist with their withdrawal of labour."

The weather isn't great on the Eastern side at the moment meant to get bad tonight. So could see the Dundee Utd game being called off, was thinking of going to the rugby on saturday but it will be unbelievably cold if it goes ahead.

Polish and Romanian refs not following everybody else by saying no. It will probably cost the SFA double or even more to get them here.

That's the SFA's hard luck. They have a contract to supply the refs which they need to try to stick to, so it'll just have to come out of the SFA's budget and they'll need to start staying in 3 star hotels instead of 5 star hotels on their numerous 'business' trips. Or not....

Will Celtic be covering the costs of these foreign officials seeing as it is all their doing.

Hope these foreigners make an "honest" mistake against them. :D The fallout would be hilarious.

With a Polish referee it would be even better.:D
