Mr Smith is a cheque book manager, you can't buy tactical astuteness unfortunately, I hope Mr McCoist was not in agreement with playing in high balls, when the ball on the deck was the answer.

Spot on 100% mate, plus smith makes it worst by insisting on playing players out of position.

Has Smith really been a cheque book manager in winning the last two titles ? Utter tosh. He won back to back titles whilst not purchasing one single player and seeing a full team leave.

Sorry but that article has long been acknowqledged by many , even Smith's fierxcest crirics as a veri slewed and inaccurate article , this was at a time when Evertonm were lurching from one crisis to another , when players were being sold behind Smith's back and when money he was promised never arrived , many many Evertonians hold Smith in the highest regard for simply keeping them in the premiership
