RFC Sale - To be announced tomorrow?

Recommended Posts

What is the real chances of this happening mate?

IIRC, BH was suggesting any deal was unlikely the other week so if he's not inferring progress that must be good news. More so when he seems to have two different sources from both sides of the deal for corroboration.

Keep the salt handy though!

The sad thing about this for me is this doesn’t stir any emotions like it did. It’s like water off a ducks back now which is maybe a good thing as any news in the past used to stress me out.

1872;)....

True I'm familar with the work of Gallant Pioneers who have revealed that Rangers first game was in 1872, but most official merchandise still carries the date as 1873. I don't know if Rangers as a football club have to make some official application to have that date changed, but I don't think it matters too much as we all know the history and it's facts.

I'm not disagreeing with you Frankie, I'm just wondering if they have to make an application, say to the SFA, or the companies folks to have it made officially the date of formation. I myself just broke a mug with 1873 on it and was looking for another, but most things that I saw still had 1873.

I think they'll probably still use both but I'm sure I remember they now consider 1872 as the formal year of founding.

I believe that anything the club now sells will have 1872 as the date.
