GovanAllan 0
And then there's G4S stewards. Can they be trusted to make decisions on what constitutes offensive behaviour? I think not when they're already known for often making poor decisions. God there's some G4S stewards find the very fact they have to work in Ibrox offensive.
Zappa 0
God there's some G4S stewards find the very fact they have to work in Ibrox offensive. And that's where there's going to be a serious problem if this new legislation is passed. Stewards and police who don't like Rangers fans would have the ability to abuse the new laws if they wanted.
Guest Dutchy
The courts are going to be jammed packed with fans of every club pleading innocence and jamming an already blocked system. There's been very little thought gone into this bill.

So you think it's ok that if the new legislation is passed a Celtic supporting steward could have a Rangers fan arrested, sentenced to 5 years in jail and banned from football grounds just because that steward deems what the Rangers fan is singing or chanting as being offensive? What do you mean vice-versa? The Rangers fan could have the Celtic supporting steward arrested for offensive behaviour at Ibrox? Now, that would be fair!

I think not when they're already known for often making poor decisions. It won't be their decision, mate; they would have to bring any incident to the attention of the police and it would be up to the individual policeman to decide if an arrest was justified.
BrahimHemdani 1
One simple question if this had been McGregor do think the clamour for him to be sacked would be so loud? I think not. The higher the profile of the player, the more likely it would be in my opinion that he would be subject to severe disciplinary action. An experienced professional should know better than a youngster.

They would still have to convince the procurator fiscal that there was a case to answer.

Somebody needs to tell the stewards that because they obviously missed that memo.
